I'm an American. I love listening to you speak English. You make it sound so beautiful. You'd never be mistaken for a native speaker, but like Indians (dot), your cadence & pronunciation are mellifluous. I'm actually learning from watching you how truly different Swedish & Norwegian are.
Du er vakker, pen, fun, jenta, Som jeg liker ansiket ditt. Lyden din gjorde meg ha svimmel på håde. Takke for deg Disse øyne gav meg glimt av håpe til å lærer norsk. Altid smeler Fordi hvis du smeler, verden smeler til bake.
Kjærlighet på pinne, is how it was used as the word lollipop, (love on a stick) but it has been shortend down to just kjærlighet. But it's not used all over Norway. Where I'm from we say klubbe. (club/hammer)
You cannot tell me Norwegians are interested in eating healthy. I have seen yourway2norway’s video about popular foods in Norwegian grocery stores, in which Ronald explained that y’all do not want fresh food and how popular frozen and processed foods are in Norway. Like that Grandiosa pizza that you have also mentioned, Anette. And all the tube food! UGH! LOL
Ikke is denying. It can be translate to not. Ingen is translated to noone/nobody,. You can say Det er ikke noen her. Or Det er ingen her. Both translate to There is noone/nobody here.
Hei Hannah, "Ikke" simply means "not" in English, whilst "ingen" means "nobody". So, for the English sentence "there was nobody at the house", you can say, in Norwegian, either "det var ingen i huset" (there was nobody at/in the house) or "det var ikke noen i huset" (there were no people at/in the house). Hope this helps, Patrick Team NorwegianClass101.com
