That was fascinating and terribly sad, it's good that there are separate memorials especially the stokers who kept those furnaces burning to the bitter cold end and died in the dark.
Hi Anne. Yes it is both fascinating and sad. It must have been a terrible time for the people of Southampton, with so many of the people who died coming from the city. I keep meaning to doa walk around the city walls. That's interesting too. Last time I tried, there was scaffolding here and there and the main steps up were closed :( Thanks for watching and best wishes, Rob
@@TheCountryTraveller yes, nowadays a ship's crew would be from all over the world not jyst one city, it's so hard imagining the pain of all that loss.
Hello, my friend! The sad story of the Titanic tragic trip always impressed me so much. This memorial is very interesting and really touching and emotional. A beautiful tour in Southampton too. Really interesting, my friend. Enjoyed your so well presented content really much . A huge like and all the best! Renata
Hi Renata. Thanks for your kind comments, much appreciated. It is quite an emotional walk around the memorials. Thanks for watching and best wishes, Rob
Absolutely wonderful Rob. A very poignant film. So glad you posted this. We visited Southampton from Brockenhurst and were hoping to visit the Sea City Museum. But in the event, the trains were totally messed up that day so we were late arriving and had to leave early to ensure we got back. We managed to visit the Docks and saw the Mayflower memorial. A bustling city with so much to see. The Titanic memories linger long there as they should. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for your kind comments Dave, much appreciated. The Titanic exhibition at the Sea City Museum is well worth a visit, next time you're in this part of the world. Thanks for watching and best wishes to you both, Rob
