Hi, Noah! As I've mentioned on other videos, I'm as old as your grandparents, and trans nonbinary. I continue to be impressed by how you've grown as a person as I've watched your videos. You should be proud. Your parents should be proud. I use ey/em/eir. How did I decide on ey/em/eir? Honestly, I tried various pronouns out. I asked people I knew I could trust to use different sets of pronouns to refer to me until I found the ones that felt like they described me correctly. Once I had settled on what felt right, I added them to my bio and asked everyone to use them.
I think one thing that's really important to think of when talking about neopronouns is autism and neurodivergency in general. A lot of neurodivergent people have a very different relationship with gender than neurotypical people (as an autistic transmasc i can confirm that) and their own view of themselves so it makes sense they wouldn't vibe as much with traditional pronouns. Plus synesthesia, which is common for neurodivergent folks and which basically means if your senses somehow sense something they aren't supposed to (i don't know the actual definition and I'm lazy to look it up right now sorry, feel free to research further though) and one type of that is if words/concepts appear to you as colors or feelings which i experience. It's very hard to explain to someone who doesn't experience it. I myself tend to choose names and pronouns that look pretty for my synesthesia. And finally some themed nounself pronouns can come from hyperfixations/special interests which many neurodivergent people have, which are extremely strong interests. I'm not really too into neopronouns myself, i use he/they in real life, but i do collect neopronouns I'm comfortable with just for fun, which so far are aq/aquas (from aqua) plant/plants, milk/milks and torch/torchs (i think these are self explanatory) and they're mostly either aesthetically pleasing/pretty to me or linked with a concept i feel is a part of me in a way (for example aqua because ever since i was very little i always liked swimming and being in water and my sense of self is in a way linked with that, it's really hard to explain like i said) I'm not sure if any of this made sense but i hope it did!
Hey, Noah! As far as I'm aware, emojiself pronouns are mainly used online by people with unsupportive parents (or one parent) who might check their phone. This way their identity is safer, without having to have people misgender them online.
As a person who also uses it/that pronouns, I honestly found out I liked them because some annoying people pointed at me and went "what is that" (as in transphobia oOooOOo surprising /hj), and I just went "huh." And then the gender gremlin came out from under my bed and stole my pronouns. The End.
I have a same story about y i started using the pronoun it. The gender gremlin stole my gender after I came out as enby and kids thought I wasn't a human bc I wasn't a girl or boy, so they started calling me it. And then the gender gremlin stole mine aswell. Afterwards it stole my siblings gender making them gender fluid.
I use them cause I love them and a chad at my school once called me a chad and I said “Honestly I don’t even mind it” and I was never called an it before… I’m sad I haven’t but like- it’s fineeee.
I use the pronouns they/xem. It started when i was experimenting with pronouns and asked a friend to try them out on me. It fit really well. Most of the other pronouns I had tried out either made me really uncomfortable or indifferent, so I decided to stick with it and when anyone uses xe/xem for me, i get weirdly happy
Can I have some help with what the other forms of xe/xem are please? So if you have they/them/theirs, is there an equivalent to each of those? For like the possessive, would you have xem's, or something else? I tried googling it and just couldn't figure out the different forms.
oh! i use xe/xem as well!! nice to see someone else that uses them! i mostly use he/they bc most people don't know how to pronounce xe/xem or just forget those are my other pronouns lol
@@hollyhales2831 yea :) people have lots of personal variations of xe/xem pronouns so if you're unsure for a specific person make sure to ask but these are the ones I know of (also sidenote, you'd very rarely use ()'s for a pronoun because pronouns do not use 's to make them possessive, they just have an s on the end :) they = *xe* ( a lot of people use *xey* as well ) them = *xem* their = *xyr* ( also seen *xeir/xeyr/xer* ) theirs = *xyrs* ( also seen *xeirs/xeyrs/xers/xems* ) themself = *xemself* hope this helps! also I'm not a neopronoun expert so if I got any of this wrong feel free to correct me :)
I use it/its pronouns because I often feel a disconnect from my “human-ness.” I’m autistic and was raised to mask those behaviors instead of being taught how to functionally interact with people, so a lot of the time I feel like “being a human” is a mask that I’m wearing, and (at least with friends) I like that they’re comfortable acknowledging that I think in a different way from them but still want to be friends anyways. I use they/them publicly, though, just because I don’t want to give random people an excuse to act transphobic towards me. There’s a big difference for me between people dehumanizing me and de*person*alizing me, and only people who understand that nuance can use it/its pronouns for me.
oh my god, same. I use it/its because I don't like... feel human so I get you. I use them because like I'm also autistic, and I was the only autistic person in my environment and felt so different than everyone else it just made me feel not human, and like I was almost a different species than them. I get what you mean with masking, and I especially get what you mean with the last sentence :,).
i use she/they/it and ive always just liked it/its pronouns, i have a friend group of gays (we literally call ourselves the gay group) where a lot of us just use it/its without meaning to, im not sure why it happens, a lot of us are just really comfy with it/its pronouns. like one of my friends ash who uses any we just accidently say "oh yeah ash is over there, its just doing math homework" and he is comfortable with it. im not sure why i identify with it/its pronouns. i kinda have half the thing you have where you just feel disconnected from your "human-ness" where i just zone out so much to the point where i always feel like im dissacotiating from myself and just viewing my life like a movie.
I use they/its. I totally get the not feeling/liking/wanting to be human thing, though that’s not really my reason for using it/its. It started as a joke between close friends not in a mocking way but more because it sounds ominous and vaguely threatening which I found funny. I don’t really know why I decided to adopt them but I think it’s for multiple reasons, comedy being one of them. Since it’s often used by transphobic people as an attack it doesn’t work on me because I actually use them. I sometimes had this guy who was supposed to be my friend call me an “it” in a derogatory way and it felt so good to just be like “yes, thanks for validating me
As someone who uses ae/aer neopronouns, when it comes to "why," for me it was just hearing it for the first time and immediately feeling like they were important to me. I heard them first from a friend who made pronoun roles in a discord server and very quickly loved them. Now ae/aer just feels right.
@@eggchomp yeah definitely, they would say "is that thons top over there?" or "whats thon one at acting like that?" so i guess it not always used exactly like a pronoun but definitely to refer to people
11:50 - Emojipronouns are an online exclusive thing yes, but some people who use them will have spoken counterparts which they use as nounself pronouns while speaking (for example, heart emoji pronouns can be said as heart/heartself when speaking)

@@nillawafer9542 ….wait, I don’t have a lot of experience with neopronouns and I had no idea you could use them in first person! Is there a reason that you use it/it’s pronouns in first person as well as third? /gen /pos
@@cez_is_typing In reality it's just refering to itself in third person, like Nugget does in Kindergarden, but it uses its pronouns instead of its name. But like you could probably count them as self pronouns as it is using them for itself.
Hey, this might be a weird question, but how did you know that they/them pronouns fit you? I’ve been struggling with my pronouns and have always felt a sort of connection with they/them pronouns, but idk if I just find them fascinating or if I want to use them. (I’ve been fighting myself in a circle for several months over this.)
@@MoonlitBookworm73 why not just say you want to try using they/them along with your other pronouns? You can always change your mind later if you decide you don't like them being used to describe you.
I use it/its pronouns because a transphobe once called me it and I liked how it made me feel more than the other pronouns I've had applied to me. I'm pretty apathetic about what pronouns people apply to me and sometims it's interesting to see how I'm percieved by people based on the pronouns they use.
i'm cis but one time i went onto a neopronoun list out of curiosity and... there were INCREDIBLY COOL ones where i was sqealing from how cute/amazing they sounded- i mean some of the nounself ones were long af which is pretty counterproductive as pronouns are supposed to be for simplification but like... that doesn't stop them from sounding fantastic
@@notfamedtvpersonalitydrphil that is a mood and i definitely get it they're literally the best things we've introduced into language... i might or might not have OCs that are completely stacked with neopronouns simply because it's really satisfying to use them lmao
my ex used fae/faer pronouns, bc fae felt femme in a very nature-y way and but didn’t feel connected to womanhood. fae were also irish and felt a strong connection to fae, so that set felt right to faer!!
I was about to be like “But Fae/Faer is offensive to Celtics” but since they’re Celtic it’s chill. (I’m also Celtic so that’s why I was going to comment that)

I use any but she/her pronouns but I looove pronouns based on dragons. Scale/scaleself sound awesome and I like aer/aerself pronouns. But I love neopronouns in general and would love it if people used them for me.
another iconic pronoun is pitter/patter. I've never had someone use them for me but like how iconic. Also, I feel you on neopronouns being confusing, I use neopronouns and it can be hard to remember which is the right one. have a slay day (:
This was really interesting. I have I am friends with someone who uses fae/faer. But still kinda confused on how to properly use neopronouns but working on it. I'm a trans guy so I'm he/him and I think all pronouns are pretty damn neat. Much love and see you in Massachusetts on the 7th!
I actually use he/they pronouns and are currently experimenting with bun/bunself as a transgender male. I understand if you find some neopronouns difficult, but it gets better with time! Thank you for being inclusive, you the man!

I found them probably just on the internet somewhere and tried them out and it felt so good to use them :)) like it felt like me I can’t give a better explanation than that but it always makes me happy to see representation
Sometimes I forget that I am a neopronoun user... My pronouns in English are just they/them and he/him, but I live in Germany. We've been trying to find neutral pronouns equivalent to they/them for SO LONG. Some people use sier or sie*er (or a different mashup of she and he), or xier, I've seen mensch (human), literally just english they, and fairly commonly no pronouns. I use dey/deren, which is kind of they, kind of plural-ish
SAME!! Its sad how we don’t have any „official“ gender-neutral pronouns tbh :,) I also use gender neutral pronouns, but instead of dey or sier i use Es (It) because I like it and feel comfortable with it :D
@@hii_imjamie that's fair and honestly fucking powerful. I personally for me just don't feel comfortable with the dehumanising aspect of it/its, no matter what language

My language (PT-BR) is a language that assigns gender to every word. Examples: Chair is female, duck is male. The gender in the word itself has no effect, only aesthetics. But when we use it to refer to people, we only have ele/ela (it would be he/she) and masculine pronouns are used to refer to everyone who does not reveal gender/generalized gender. I'll cite his/your example: "Oh, someone lost their wallet. *He* must be worried." This caused intrigue and for years people have been trying to formulate a neutral version of the words, with the militants and "sealers" (sorry, I don't know a word for your language) bringing more visibility. Our grammar works like this: For the majority, every masculine word ends with the letters O, E, R. Ex: -Carpinteir-o (Carpenter♂️) -Aquel-e (That♂️) -Professo-r (Teacher♂️) And generally, every feminine word replaces the O, E by A or adds A to R. Ex: -Carpinteir-a (Carpenter♀️) -Aquel-a (That♀️) -Professor-a (Teacher♀️) Maybe you're asking yourself "Why create a new neutral alternative if the masculine already does it?". According to several studies, this generic masculine is a consequence of what we call linguistic sexism. It has even been proven that when people hear the supposedly "neutral" masculine words, most of the time, only men come to mind. No women, or non-binary or all people in general. We also use the generic masculine to refer to groups. If there is a man and a woman, together they will be "eles" (They♂️). If there are 99 females and only 1 male, they will still be "eles", even though the predominant gender is female. So, some people have formulated and use neutral forms, like the they/them. The systems are: -Elu (replacing all O, E, A or adding to the R by the letters E, U). Ex: Carpinteir-e; Aquel-u, Professor-e. I use these pronouns, even though I'm a cis man, because Elu is neutral, and I don't see a problem with using neutrality with me. -Ile (Replacing every vowel in the penultimate syllable with I, changing the masculine words, or using the E in the same way as Elu). Ex: Carpinteir-e; Aqu-i-le. I accept those too, but I prefer the first. -Ilu (mixture of previous systems). Ex: Aqu-i-l-u; Professor-e. -Elo (Basically Elu, but it only changes or adds O to words with E, R, A , having to replace the O by E too). Ex: Carpinteir-e; Aquel-o; Professor-e/o. -El (It simply removes the gender-applying vowel and adds E to R). Ex: Carpinteir_; Aquel_; Professor-e. Honestly, the hardest pronoun to use for me. Well, now you might be thinking "That's it. Now your language has a decent neuter gender". Unfortunately not. Most people are conservative and do not accept a truly neutral form of language. It is always disrespected and has even been banned from certain schools and universities. It officially "doesn't exists". But we have several linguists on our side and still certain ways of counting as existing. It is not because a word is not in the cultured norm, it does not mean that it does not exist. The whole of Brazil uses foreign words and slang, which are also not part of the cultured norm, still that's not why we make fun of it or criminalize it. Neutral language, as well as slang and foreign words, are part of the colloquial portion of the language. So yes, the NB language exists. Even if they ignore this fact and say that the neutral already exists, there is still one more fact. The NB language is an alternative, so much so that we only use it with people who want to be called that. If you want to abolish an alternative because the original version already exists, then we must abolish ALL synonyms. Thanks for reading this far. #Transrights

This was such a neat video. I personally use he/they/it pronouns. I'm a demiboy, so I like using masc and gender neutral pronouns. But, I like using it/its pronouns for multiple reasons. A) I am an enigma who can not be bound by silly mortal things such as gender. B) I have issues with dissociation and being disconnected from reality in general due to my really bad anxiety issues, so using pronouns like it/its gives me this sense of acceptance with myself and my situation. My dissociation is always going to be a problem in my life, and I've accepted that I'll never be truly in touch with reality because of it. So, I use it/its as a way to cope and to comfort myself. C) It sounds cool, and if a transphobe or some meany calls me an "it" I can hit them with the "Thanks for using my correct pronouns. :)" and enjoy the look of confusion, horror, and fury wash over them.
@Ville ok, you just used they/them pronouns to talk abt someone in that transphobic paragraph you’ve written and then you say they can’t be used. Just stop. What do you get from spreading hate? I honestly don’t and can’t understand that. Please just go do something else and educate yourself. You’ll just make people feel worse about themselves if you comment this. Our problem in germany is, that we don’t have something translating to they/them pronouns.. A pretty good, tho still not perfect, option I only found out about recently is to use the word “Mensch” which means “human” and I think this functions so well, because it only has one syllable. Still.. It’s always getting used to and establishing it in new groups which is hard..
Oh, I didn't know that. My home language is pretty similar to Dutch and German, and we have a something translating to they/them. That must suck tho... I imagine it must be hard to explain to people that you want to be referred to as "human", explaining stuff to people who don't want to understand is difficult. But a language is always evolving, so hopefully there will be a translation for they/them in the future
Voidgender is an umbrella term within an umbrella term that might come up if ya hang out in Agender spaces and it means (im gonna pull the wiki out for this) : ''a gender which is an absence, a blank space or void where a gender might otherwise be. It is often used synonymously with voidgender, which is defined as a gender coming from or associated with the void, although they are not the same thing.'' here ya go
I get the exact same but like people can't get mad for me calling them they/them since its legit gender neutral (it can't be missgendering) so I end up just referring to people regardless of gender with they/them
Personally, I have a pretty strong connection & sense of security in certain emojiself pronouns. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of discourse around the idea of using emojis as pronouns (inside & outside of the trans community) and due to my inability to deal with ppl having a problem with me, I have been unable to bring myself to use emoji pronouns at all. I feel comfort from them due to them feeling (for myself) like somewhat of a dehuman pronoun as you mentioned. It/its, thing/things, pronouns like those very much bother me when they’re used for me (racism reasons), and I’m unaware of other dehuman pronouns that aren’t attached to a certain topic or theme if that makes sense. Due to things relating to my mental health, I feel a very strong disconnect from feeling like a person, and it has affected my gender. He/him is the pronoun I am most comfortable with, as I identify mostly as a dude- however other genders I use to describe myself (alongside trans man/transmasculine) are the other half of my bigender label, which I use to include demi-offboy. The “demi” there I use as an umbrella to make room for scribblegender flux & scribbleflux is an umbrella for me of a handful of very specific ones like clownillix. Because of the way my gender frays, the idea of having an object image as a pronoun appeals to my sense of self greatly. So, that’s why! Using images as pronouns is entirely a gender euphoric thing for me, however, due to the hate on emoji pronouns (and the point that people always say the only valid use of them is if someone can’t come out & therefore uses emojis as a replacement pronoun) I don’t use them even though I know what mine would be. I just can’t handle the stress caused by knowing how much people disprove of emoji pronouns. If you’re curious, these are the emojis 💤 / 🍴/ 🧷 / ♟ / 🚂 / 🖍. The emojis chosen are ones that are either related to one certain character I’ve grown to have an emotional attachment to, the feeling of the item, or even the related subject to it & how it relates to me or my gender. For me personally, they would indeed be strictly online, however I’ve heard of others who would find a nounself equivalent for irl! Unfortunately I don’t really feel the same comfort from nounself pronouns as I feel from the image of the emoji itself. Not sure why that’s the case. Unrelated but per/pers is a pronoun I was completely unaware of somehow, and even though I do feel a disconnect from personhood, I think the vagueness of those pronouns may bring some comfort to me in my own sorta way. I might look into using those too, to see if I could get a similar comfort of detachment from them as I do with the emoji pronouns. Thanks m8!
i use he/they/xe and i really like how xe feels personally masculine to me while still being andryongus or whatever. im a boyflux demiboy so it's important to me to have both :)

As someone who's not a native English speaker I just don't understand why "I" is written with capital letter lol like I'm not that important. It gives off western individualism. Also it looks weird because it's just one letter AND capitalized.
@@nvmindem I think it's because of it representing a proper noun? But at the same time you're right (about the general superiority complex) because none of the other English pronouns need that.
I use He/They and Ze/Zir.I really just tested many different pronouns, first I used she/her (I was born Female) and I realized I felt unhappy,I then went with gender neutral, then gender fluid, but then I went with he/they pronouns.I felt happy but still incomplete,I found out about NeoPronouns and felt an instant connection to Ze/Zir.I tested them out and I loved them and now this is where I am today!
Love your outlook these days on gender / pronouns / what have you. I have been out as trans for 5 or 6 years and am now comfortable playing around with it. I think of myself as using pronouns chaos. I often list they/he/she/ze if people are listing pronouns, but i’ve experimented and I have an affinity for ey/em, it/its, and lately I like shey/shem/sheir (like she/they combined.) It feels like such a weight lifted for me as a trans person to say “it doesn’t matter how people read me / refer to me because I am a lot of things, and I can feel however i want about it myself at different times. edit: OH AND I LOVE THE OLD ASS NEOPRONOUN THON/THONS
I didn't know ey/em existed as standalone pronouns before, I only met them in the context of someone dropping the "th" because they speak too fast. But I use they/them and my name is Em, so now I'm considering using ey/em too. It just makes sense.
I use a variant of fae/faer - I also use they/them, but I gravitated towards fae/faer because of my witchcraft practice, and for reclamation from the use of "fairy" in homophobic and ableist contexts (many disabilities were once thought to be the result of babies being switched out for fairies called changelings) since I'm queer/trans and autistic. I have spoken to some Celtic pagans, and they were pretty indifferent to the idea of using the word being cultural appropriation (the word isn't exclusive to Celtic cultures) and were more so concerned about the Fae (fairies or fair folk) harassing people who use those pronouns for putting themselves on the same level as them. As a respectful precaution to avoid appropriation or invoking the wrath of the Fae, I tweaked the spelling to phae/phaer and the Celtic pagans who I spoke to were happy with that 💚
I'm someone who uses two sets of pronouns, actually. It/It's/Itself and E/Eim/Eir I'm a non binary person who simply uses them bc they're comfy and I like em.

I LOVE THE ZZZZZZZ SOUND, TOO, but I didn’t want a “z” name-so I went with neopronouns. Even if I usually use they/them it still feels freeing for me, as ze/zir has a bit more pizzaz and distance from gender expectations in general (and I never understood gender anyway lol).
Weird question, but how did you know they/them, ze/zir pronouns were right for you? I’ve been struggling with my pronouns a lot and I’m trying to just get some idea of what other people feel with them so I can see if maybe I have a similar feeling with certain pronouns. (I’ve been going in circles about this topic for months)
@@MoonlitBookworm73 i think first and foremost, don't pressure yourself as much. gender isn't an exam that you have to give the "right answer" for. for me, ze/zir is devoid of pressure to perform anything, and they/them is a nice neutral ground where i can play around with gender. neither of that was encompassed within the binary status quo, and so i don't feel at home with binary pronouns because it feels like i would be excluding a part of myself. but also, you don't have to feel super attached to your pronouns either, plenty of people feel that way as well. the pronouns i go with at this point in time, are the ones that give me the most gender euphoria, a scale i find much easier to navigate than the ones that give me the least dysphoria. -also feel free to experiment with different ones, online or in person, just have someone use the pronoun you want to try, referring to you in a sentence-
I use several pronouns including neos and honestly I picked them just because I vibe with them. Like, I see some online and I just go, "Yeah. That's cool. I like those vibes." and then I chuck them onto the list. I do the same thing with names; I'm a bit of a word hog
hiya, noah and everyone reading! first of all, i'd like to say thanks to noah for making this video and being inclusive and trying to educate himself in the process without being offensive or trying to be invalidating! he goes in with an open mind and ready to learn and i think that's important! one thing i'd like to point out for his sake is that identifying with certain pronouns doesn't necessarily mean you are otherkin or identify as that thing, but it can just be a strong emotional connection! so bun/bun(ny)self can be used by people who just feel strongly attached or somehow associate bunnies to genders! same with vam (vampires) pronouns, pup (puppies) pronouns, etc.! also, when you used bun pronouns in an example, you accidentally used they pronouns as well! you said "bun came over to my house and bun sat on my bed and THEY sat by bunself" whereas it should have been "bun came over to my house and bun sat on my bed and bun sat by bunself"! i'm not holding that against you as you were making a clear effort to try and accidents happen without even noticing sometimes! but just remember that practice and more familiarization can also help! they can be frustrating or difficult for everyone at first, but it gets easier! also, about emoji pronouns, most people agree that they're text-only and not to be used in real life! though there might be some people who use them beyond the internet and probably have an adapted version for being said aloud (e.g. ☁️self would be cloudself out loud)! as for how i discovered i like my neopronouns, a lot of the time mine stem from trauma (it/its), strong emotional attachments (vam/vamp), or things that feel nice to be called (ae/aer). some people also use pronouns that just fit how they feel in their gender, so some people may use void/voidself because their gender may be absent. of course there are many reasons people use these sets, each unique and valid and worthy of respect and celebration! also, something i love about neopronouns real quick is that there are so many and you oftentimes get to define your own gender however you want, and you can always make new terms if you don't fit any that you've seen! it's truly amazing. you can also use them as any gender, you can even be cis and binary trans people can use them too! and oftentimes, people who use these pronouns understand that it can be difficult and would be more than willing to help you understand or at least know how to use them! just try your best and don't purposefully misgender them!
@@supersaturn0008 yeah, sorry! i'm really passionate about these things! you're always welcome! i don't know everything, but i love to share what i know and learn what i don't! :]
Speaking of neo pronouns, I use the set *mer/mers* based on the word "mermaid" simply because I feel a very strong connection to the aesthetic, and some days even feel like one myself :] I also use They/Them and She/Her, as I am a demigirlflux. My gender is fluid between feeling like a girly girl (in my case never actually feeling like a woman or connected to the concept of womanhood) and feeling like a fucking void of gender and wanting to chop my tits off lmfao
@@usernameisusernam yes! It indicates that outside of being a demigirl the intensity of feeling like a girl fluctuates. I used to go by demiboyflux but I have now given up with trying to describe my gender. It exists it's in a masculine spectrum other then that I don't know and don't care.

@@WhyIsLif3 yeah, your not supposed to, but i have family from Arizona, they say the s, family in Indiana say the s, and i have seen other people talking about states and they say the s.
I use thon/thons pronouns. They were coined in 1858 by Charles Crozat as a combining of "that one" that was meant to be used when gender is unknown like singular they tends to be used. They used to be in the dictionary between 1934 to 1961 before it was dropped due to disuse. I chose those pronouns because they sound cool and mysterious and felt they were also pretty simple for people to remember and put into sentences. As well I can tell people my pronouns are older than them whenever they say they aren't "real". Pronouns are a lot like names and I like using something disconnected from binary genders.
that’s really interesting! i’ve never met anyone that uses neopronouns but i’ve always been curious about them and i’ll definitely look more into it, they sound really fucking cool
My preferred pronouns are fae/fir/they/it! I loved this video!! I don't often comment but felt this would be educational. I myself am autistic and have Dissociative Identity Disorder. The pronouns I use are because I heavily associate myself with mythology - due to our DID basing alters and inner world around folklore. Which leads me to feel non-human or beyond the societal norm on two levels (DID and ASD). As well as I do not identify as the body I am in, it is purely a shell. Then on a collective or system level it helps us all feel like our seperate identities are valued, if there is use of the pronouns each alter identify with and helps us be more individual. I also agree the neopronouns can be difficult to understand, We too didn't understand them at first or see the need to use them but over time that has changed. Thankyou Noah for this video it is a really important conversation and there is a lack of education on it. Sending love and acception to all of those reading this comment!! 🌈🥰
I went to your concert in Houston house of blues and it was so fun and my mom (who’s been going to concerts regularly since she was 14) said it was one the best concert she’d ever been to
I always feel like genderfae(a type of a a fluid gender identity that does not include any male-aligned genders) so I like to use any pronouns that sounds fem-aligned more than masc, I personally prefer shey/shem, fae/faer, ze/zir, and xe/xer I also don't mind fey/fem/feir, ae/aer, ey/em, ze/hir, vi/vir, ve/ver, and zhe/zher I still don't really mind she/her much specifically cause there's still so many people that gender normalizes everyone so I'm like, "eh whatever" even though I don't always feel like one, same for they/them except for those that either don't know about the other pronouns or just don't except them XD Edit: mostly prefer shey/shem the more I think of it tbh but still lol
It was very interesting watching the video and reading the comments especially because I didn’t know very much about neopronouns at all or how a person came to realize that they felt right, so it was very educating.
i use they/she pronouns, though i highly prefer they/them because she/her makes me somewhat uncomfortable? and in my native language there's no alternative for singular they pronouns, so i have to deal with being referred at as a she, which is quite bad most of the time
I felt the "there's no alternative for they pronouns in my native language" so much. I wish the German language would have they/them pronouns, but instead there's virtually only she/her and he/him.
I think were all so lucky to have a gender neutral pronoun in english it just sucks that so many bilingual people have to deal with getting misgendered in their native language :(
As someone who is closeted with homophobic family, i also have a closeted trans brother. My pronouns r Ey/Em rn so i was so excited when they appeared here lol. the reason i chose them is they felt the best. Felt more comfortable. Idk why but they r the ones that suddenly stood out after a few minutes of looking up "All neo pronouns." lol And my best friend uses Ve/Ver i think is how u say it i am sToOpEd also Noah ur videos really make me laugh. Then I realize i should stop laughing cuz its 1:00 am
I use He/Xe pronouns. i picked Xe/xem/xeir cuz i like how it sounds and looks tbh and it is a neopronoun that just felt right for me when i dont want my pronoun to express a certain gender
I'm he/she/it because I feel comfortable a pronoun that doesn't stereotypically hold to a gender (I'm bigender (questioning transman)) and from previous experience most neo-pronouns and they/them make people think I'm genderfluid or non-binary :))
I am someone who accepts fae/faer pronouns, they do not refer to someone who identifies with fairies, but I get why'd you assume so. They refer to someone who is gender neutral/non-binary and has a strong connection with femininity. If you are Demifluid, genderfluid, non-binary etc. and feminine, fae/faer can be suitable pronouns for you. 👍 (Hope this helps!) 😊
My pronouns are they/he/fae/xe/ae. When I first learned about neopronouns, I thought they were the coolest thing ever and just had to have some for myself. I love how colorful they sound. Fae/faer makes me feel like a forest fairy or smth which is super cool and ae/aer feels like airy (lol) and light and mysterious. Xe/xem looks awesome written down, especially the possessive form "xyr" is such a cool spelling. Also my friend uses those so I already had experience with the grammar. I think most of my pronouns, I chose just because of the vibes. Neopronouns are very vibey.
As someone who uses pretty much all pronouns(she/it is a no) and identifies and non-binary I use these pronouns because it makes me happy and it makes me feel like I can really express myself. With the ones associated with fairies and or mythological beings or animals etc make me personally very happy because I really love stuff like that and it’s my interests! And when someone is to use pronouns on me like fae/faes/faeself etc it makes me feel really great and it’s like a way for me to express my interests in my own way if that makes any sense so it’s like when your a kid and you love unicorns but it sticks with you so you wanna express that everyday with either clothing, accessories, hair, etc, my way of expressing that is in pronouns :D
Hi Noah! This Illinois native just wanted to tell you that you pronounced Skokie, Illinois perfectly! Thanks for keeping the s in Illinois silent! Nothing irritates us more than hearing it called Illinoiz. Love youuuuuuuuuuu!
i use the neopronouns ae/aer and star/starself alongside he/they and it/its, my reasoning behind using the neopronouns i use is i just simply vibe with them. they make me feel very happy when they’re used on me & give me gender euphoria. that is all. :]

Cool!
I'm not really too into neopronouns myself, i use he/they in real life, but i do collect neopronouns I'm comfortable with just for fun, which so far are aq/aquas (from aqua) plant/plants, milk/milks and torch/torchs (i think these are self explanatory) and they're mostly either aesthetically pleasing/pretty to me or linked with a concept i feel is a part of me in a way (for example aqua because ever since i was very little i always liked swimming and being in water and my sense of self is in a way linked with that, it's really hard to explain like i said)
I'm not sure if any of this made sense but i hope it did!
Synesthesia is where one sense involuntarily triggers another sense. Ex. Numbers trigger seeing certain colors, sound triggers certain tastes, etc
Hello autistic trans guy here, thanks for teaching me this I had no idea that was the reason
@@MoonlitBookworm73 i've had the sounds triggering tastes before, it was pretty bizarre.

The End.

*He* must be worried."
This caused intrigue and for years people have been trying to formulate a neutral version of the words, with the militants and "sealers" (sorry, I don't know a word for your language) bringing more visibility.
Our grammar works like this: For the majority, every masculine word ends with the letters O, E, R. Ex:
-Carpinteir-o (Carpenter♂️)
-Aquel-e (That♂️)
-Professo-r (Teacher♂️)
And generally, every feminine word replaces the O, E by A or adds A to R. Ex:
-Carpinteir-a (Carpenter♀️)
-Aquel-a (That♀️)
-Professor-a (Teacher♀️)
Maybe you're asking yourself "Why create a new neutral alternative if the masculine already does it?".
The systems are:
-Elu (replacing all O, E, A or adding to the R by the letters E, U).

:)" and enjoy the look of confusion, horror, and fury wash over them.
yo that's so cool that you're able to feel comfortable with that part of yourself through other pronouns :0

What-
Our problem in germany is, that we don’t have something translating to they/them pronouns..

@Ville refer to my review on your trolling.
noah i was in tears and then i watched this and it made me feel so happy ✨
I didn't know ey/em existed as standalone pronouns before, I only met them in the context of someone dropping the "th" because they speak too fast. But I use they/them and my name is Em, so now I'm considering using ey/em too. It just makes sense.
the amount of ey’s and em’s that would be used in a conversation about you would be insane and i love it :)
yeah i say ‘em’ when i try to say ‘they’ lol

I find it so weird that people can be hateful of identities, like as soon as i found out nb people existed i was like "damn, that sounds cool af" same with otherkins, it's so fascinating for me that there's so many genders, sexualities and etc. Maybe it's because i just love character designing and that stuff definetly makes it more interesting, however i do identify as otherkin and in the nb umbrella lol
@@MoonlitBookworm73 i think first and foremost, don't pressure yourself as much. gender isn't an exam that you have to give the "right answer" for. for me, ze/zir is devoid of pressure to perform anything, and they/them is a nice neutral ground where i can play around with gender. neither of that was encompassed within the binary status quo, and so i don't feel at home with binary pronouns because it feels like i would be excluding a part of myself. but also, you don't have to feel super attached to your pronouns either, plenty of people feel that way as well. the pronouns i go with at this point in time, are the ones that give me the most gender euphoria, a scale i find much easier to navigate than the ones that give me the least dysphoria.

one thing i'd like to point out for his sake is that identifying with certain pronouns doesn't necessarily mean you are otherkin or identify as that thing, but it can just be a strong emotional connection! so bun/bun(ny)self can be used by people who just feel strongly attached or somehow associate bunnies to genders! same with vam (vampires) pronouns, pup (puppies) pronouns, etc.!
also, when you used bun pronouns in an example, you accidentally used they pronouns as well! you said "bun came over to my house and bun sat on my bed and THEY sat by bunself" whereas it should have been "bun came over to my house and bun sat on my bed and bun sat by bunself"! i'm not holding that against you as you were making a clear effort to try and accidents happen without even noticing sometimes! but just remember that practice and more familiarization can also help! they can be frustrating or difficult for everyone at first, but it gets easier!
also, about emoji pronouns, most people agree that they're text-only and not to be used in real life! though there might be some people who use them beyond the internet and probably have an adapted version for being said aloud (e.g.

I go by it/they at first I honestly thought the only pronouns were she/her, he/him and they/them but then I looked more into it and found all of these other neopronouns I thought to myself thoughts like, “it is good.” (Referring to myself, I tested mostly all the other neopronouns I found and I found out that I really liked it/its and they/them and so I told my friends, my friends were okay with it and now try to use the preferred pronouns I have.
ALL PRONOUNS ARE SUPREME PRONOUNS, UR ALL VALID ✨
I’m going to one of his US tour concerts tomorrow and I’m so excited!
As someone that lives in Chicago Illinois, you pronounced that correctly, honestly im impressed you said it correctly without the "s". most people in the US pronounce the "s". And Skokie was also pronounced right.
Wait people say Illinois with the s?!
Thank you for your comment, I relate to it so much 💚
@@Kabbaway of course!! I'm glad to share it to provide comfort for others in our situation. 💙
I just saw you in concert and it was incredible! Love ur music and videos man
I went to your concert in Houston house of blues and it was so fun and my mom (who’s been going to concerts regularly since she was 14) said it was one the best concert she’d ever been to
I use xe/xem and I picked them because they simply just felt right for me. I love the sound, the spelling, they are just perfect for me
This is a dangerous game for THOSE people
Conservatives would have a FIELD DAY knowing this exists LMAOO
theres already one transphobe in the comments commenting on everything and tbh its kinda funny. people be so mad about WORDS

I always feel like genderfae(a type of a a fluid gender identity that does not include any male-aligned genders) so I like to use any pronouns that sounds fem-aligned more than masc, I personally prefer shey/shem, fae/faer, ze/zir, and xe/xer
I also don't mind fey/fem/feir, ae/aer, ey/em, ze/hir, vi/vir, ve/ver, and zhe/zher
I still don't really mind she/her much specifically cause there's still so many people that gender normalizes everyone so I'm like, "eh whatever" even though I don't always feel like one, same for they/them except for those that either don't know about the other pronouns or just don't except them XD
Edit: mostly prefer shey/shem the more I think of it tbh but still lol
That's cool
Is there a male version of genderfae?
It was very interesting watching the video and reading the comments especially because I didn’t know very much about neopronouns at all or how a person came to realize that they felt right, so it was very educating.
Boo ya in Boston. I’m a few hours away... procrastinating on hotels. Should be doing that now... oops tickets booked though.
i use they/she pronouns, though i highly prefer they/them because she/her makes me somewhat uncomfortable? and in my native language there's no alternative for singular they pronouns, so i have to deal with being referred at as a she, which is quite bad most of the time
@Ville huh?
I felt the "there's no alternative for they pronouns in my native language" so much. I wish the German language would have they/them pronouns, but instead there's virtually only she/her and he/him.
I think were all so lucky to have a gender neutral pronoun in english it just sucks that so many bilingual people have to deal with getting misgendered in their native language :(
@@unhumano.bhcsauntie they're a subpar troll. I'd give them a 0/5 stars, no creativity.
Dude those are probably the coolest neo pronouns I've ever heard
YOU NEED HELP THEN
I use He/Xe pronouns. i picked Xe/xem/xeir cuz i like how it sounds and looks tbh and it is a neopronoun that just felt right for me when i dont want my pronoun to express a certain gender
@Ville Dude stop. No one wants you here. I hope your family abandons you.
@ Ville
What is your problem-
@Ville ??
I'm he/she/it because I feel comfortable a pronoun that doesn't stereotypically hold to a gender (I'm bigender (questioning transman)) and from previous experience most neo-pronouns and they/them make people think I'm genderfluid or non-binary :))
Yooo ey/em sound so awesome, I really love 'em
I am someone who accepts fae/faer pronouns, they do not refer to someone who identifies with fairies, but I get why'd you assume so. They refer to someone who is gender neutral/non-binary and has a strong connection with femininity. If you are Demifluid, genderfluid, non-binary etc. and feminine, fae/faer can be suitable pronouns for you. 👍
(Hope this helps!) 😊
Happy pride month everyone remember always be yourself and everyone is valid 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Love youuuuuuuuuuu!
saw you in orlando!!! loved the show i hope you had an amazing rest of your time in florida!!! 🖤
i use the neopronouns ae/aer and star/starself alongside he/they and it/its, my reasoning behind using the neopronouns i use is i just simply vibe with them. they make me feel very happy when they’re used on me & give me gender euphoria. that is all. :]
