one time i heard someone say: if you ask a cis person why they are their gender, their answer/reason will most of the time relate or circle back to their sex or the fact that they were born as that gender. when you ask someone who is trans, nonbinary, or whos gender identity does not entirely match with what they were born as, their reasoning goes way more in depth and will relate to things like feelings, surroundings, their history, or maybe even trauma.
Yes,i noticed that aswell I just believe that our identities are so much more complexed than what cis/straight ppl forced us to think the definition is lol
“Supportive” it’s not supportive it’s going by your beliefs. I’m not supporting Christian’s by saying god is real so you are a upoortin trans by saying a trans woman is a real woman. Also many trans disagree so this is just you speaking for trans people
@@juniorqindes8335 my translation: “supportive” is not supportive if you are actually just supporting basic human rights like a normal person . I am supporting Christian’s by saying god is real, so you are being a person with actual morals by saying trans women are real women. Literally every trans person agrees so this is you speaking for trans people. A lot of that was un *trans* latable
My sibling came out as nonbinary a few years ago, and us having an almost/entirely straight/cis extended family, we didn't really know what to expect with their reactions. Surprisingly, our whole (huge) extended family respects their pronouns and chosen name and tries their best not to accidentally misgender or deadname my sibling. Just something that I'm incredibly grateful for.
I'm a middle-aged-she-her-cis-mom-lady. Noah, you are my new favorite person. Clever, curious, insightful, funny, and compassionate. You make the world brighter! ❤
I came out as nonbinary last fall. I use she/they pronouns, because I prefer to be called they, but if people continue to call me she, I don't get upset about it. I don't bother strangers or mere acquaintances with my preference for they, but I love it when friends or family use the right pronoun. By the way, I am 76 years old and have always been a pretty open-minded person.
Its always nice to see older people also part of the community figuring out who they are! Me being younger I started figuring it out in my teens but by 18 to 20 I started going by Nonbinary. Though only online forums like reddit or even some discords I'm still closeted Transmasc Enby.
@@Raven_Fable That's fine. Whatever pronouns you like are fine. I like they/their because they have a long history (since the 14th century) of being used as singular pronouns.
As a closeted non-binary person, I have met a couple people saying why non-binary people even exist and how the non-binary community is just ‘a trend’, leaving out the extreme body dysphoria, denial and confusion. Like, can’t people just be people? And also, about the ‘trend’ thing, it’s obviously not true. Non-binary people have existed for as long as people have existed. To be honest, I have been in a state of denial and shock for such a while now and everybody has been very supportive and I hope that you find this acceptance and friends in your life! Thank you for reading!
@@meganmullis5386 Bee! That's an awesome name! Glad to hear you found a name that you feel comfortable with, and good luck on your name-choosing journey! 🐝 🫶
to the multiple pronoun question, yea i personally think its great because its a validation of all your pronouns. i feel like a lot of the time if you have multiple pronouns like he/they or she/they ppl will only use the binary ones, which can suck so i like when both are used and try to do it for others as well
@@deadcomet Well cos it's a girl that's acting masculine. If it was a guy, it would act like an actual guy. Why is she lesbian? Well because she's gay. Right now she likes boys because she sees herself as a boy - that's part of her delusion. But before she saw herself as a guy, when she still saw herself as a girl, she was obviously attracted to women. And she would also be attracted to women again if she "detransitioned". Why? Cos she's gay, ie. Lesbian
I once had a conversation with a very straight/cis friend of mine who was trying to understand my experience. I spoke about my gender fluidity and how I’d honestly be happy with any pronouns as long as it wasn’t just she/her all the damn time. A couple times after that, when referring to me in conversation, he referenced me as she, they and he in one sentence and it made me feel so happy and excited. So yeah, I’m my experience, switching pronouns is awesome
Noah, I’m a closeted trans guy (teenager) and I’m feeling exactly the way you describe yourself in the past. You’ve honestly helped me so much. Even when I’m having a really bad day and feeling dysphoric your videos make me happy. Thank you so much 😊
53 year old here. I think your video proves that it isn't only older people who can be bigoted. Age is no excuse for not learning from others. I have known about trans people for at least 30 years (30 years ago I visited my friend at her college in Minnesota and they had a talk given there by three trans women - but I think I sort of knew about them even before that?) and of course they have been around since forever. I am always happy to learn more from you or Jammidodger. Or Roly and Luxeria. My pronouns are she/her as I am a cis woman and identify as such.
Yupp. My ~67yo mom always uses her age as an excuse to be bigoted, and scoffs when I remind her every time that her mom had no problem being respectful and affirming, and she was like ~95 when she passed. Age isn't an excuse. Never was.
I'm still closeted so nobody has changed pronouns while talking to me, but there is the feeling when someone asks your pronouns. I came out to a friend of mine (genderfluid) and they asked what pronouns I was using *that day*. That just gave me such a bubbly, happy feeling 😊
@@Gooselover-2 well I’m fine with he/they pronouns always, but sometimes I’m fine with she/her, and sometimes I’m not. And my gender changes a lot, which does affect my pronouns, but not just my pronouns, my overall gender
At least it shows what kind of a person you are. If I get asked my pronouns I will be polite but know that I need to tred lightly in fear of hurting shallow feelings by “misgendering” someone
I'm genderfluid so my pronouns change quite often. Because of this, I usually just introduce myself with they/them pronouns as they have yet to cause me any dysphoria and it's easier than just constantly changing them on people. That being said, I do still have preferences. For example, I am currently most comfortable with she/they pronouns, and I especially love it when people switch pronouns mid-sentence. It feels so incredibly validating and it's a breath of fresh air from the people who just stick to one of the several sets given. Bonus points if they switch up honorifics too.
Have you seen those pronoun pins with the arrows pointing at specific pronouns? I have a genderfluid friend who wears that and you can like check their current pronouns.
what's an honorific? I thought honorifics were like names to show you're close to someone. like babe, baby etc. but if strangers are doing it surely it can't be that? /genq
As a gen alpha, I am privileged enough to have learned about sex vs gender and the basic sexuality’s in 6th grade science. My school also celebrates pride month. We have a pride club, where as mentioned in another one of your videos, is simply just a safe space for all people in the community. I am female, but use the pronouns she/they as both make me comfortable. Love your content, sad I just now learned about you and missed out on your content all those years ago :( def sharing this channel with my gf!!!❤🎉
Stop it you're making me feel old (but fr though I love how schools celebrate pride month now, mine celebrated IDAHOT this year and some students got angry at it, so the campus coordinator decided next year would be an even bigger celebration. I had to learn about sexuality and gender on my own but I'm so glad you got taught about it and I hope you have a wonderful day, little one)
Dude, I love Lewis and his ‘pronoun guy’ vides 😂 they are just so funny He goes up to people in his aggressively rainbow attire and the fear in their eyes- 😭
My relationship with gender is so funny because my parents didn't raise me in a "gendered" way, like I could play with whatever I want, wear whatever I want etc and because I have ADHD I didn't pay attention in school when they were teaching us that there were 2 genders or whatever lmao so i never thought about it. People called me a tomboy but that's wasn't a label I really identified with even if it probably was the closest description from the outside lol, I was just me- I just happened to prefer more 'boy' stuff to 'girl' stuff. I wasn't even aware of gender as a concept until I hit my teens and puberty and I felt dysphoric lmao (they did at least teach us the difference between sex and gender in secondary school though, it really shocks me the amount of grown adults who don't know that). Now as an adult I def feel more 'masculine' than 'feminine', whatever the hell those things even are, I don't identify with so-called womanhood at all and have never felt like a woman or a girl, because I'm not one. I consider my gender (or lack thereof?) one of the most "pure" things about me because I was so detached from the performative aspects of gender growing up so it just formed organically for the most part. In the wise words of The Spongebob movie "you are who you are", and this is who I am lmao, fck everything else.
In the past, when i was like 5 or something, i heard something on the radio about trans people, when i asked my mom she gave a simple explaination and i inmediatly understood. I also said that i was trans and my family said that i wasn't... i did turn out to be right tho.
I'm Non-binary Genderfluid (AFAB) but I go by They/Them and He/Him and I absolutely adore when people switch mid sentence~ It's just fuzzy and cozy feeling 💗
@Ville Oh poor you, you need to find other hobby.. If you think that would bother anyone.. Maybe try knitting or painting a lot ppl. find this relaxing ^^ (and I guess "cringe+ don't* care")
I, a genderfluid person who lives in the trees, absolutely ADORE switching pronouns mid sentence! I love being called she and then he the next and then they, it always just give me such a happy feeling that I will genuinely sit there and start shaking my hands cause I get really happy! Genuinely, I love people using multiple pronouns in the same sentence for me. It's always been something I love doing AND love being done, it just always makes me feel SO SO SOOO HAPPY!!!
These sort of videos are always fascinating. I'm Finnish, and grew up speaking Finnish, and we got no gendered pronouns here. Hell, you may not even be referred to as a person if you're decent enough. In official Finnish, you got no gender but people aknowledge you as a living being, but everyone speaks spoken Finnish here, in which case you just automatically get referred as "it".
im 11 years old and recently found out im transgender after like a year and i already came out to alot of people and i finally feel happy and accepted!!
I am currently using he/they pronouns, and I find it very funny and refreshing when people change between them mid-sentence. It is just a lovely thing to know they're acknowleding my identity. (But in my language we only have she/her or he/him as a commonly known options, so I mostly tell people to use he/him for me. And it also depends on the people I'm around what I tell them to use for me)
When ur a 13 Yr old trans omni : I with we were on the same boat ;~; (i use he/they pronouns. I use they/them pronouns cuz saying it sounds nice and its easy)
18:15 once hung my trans flag on my window (which I thought was facing an abandoned building but I suck at realizing stuff so) and some guy kept bothering me about it (they thought it was the pan flag and we’re getting kinda violent so I’m actually thankful they didn’t realize it was the trans flag.) moved shortly after.
i love it when people change my pronouns mid sentence!! as a they/she, people very rarely use they/them pronouns for me, let alone use both, and it feels like a sign of respect towards my identity
I was originally scared to watch this video because I’ve seen so many of these “what’s your pronouns” videos where it’s just transphobia. But then I just got hit with your total positivity and this video made me happy. Thanks ❤️
Literally had a convo with someone last week about my gender. I'm a non-binary transman. I was coming home from work and a random person approached me you know trying to be friendly (I thought) and stuff and out of the blue they asked me what my gender was and I told them I use they/them pronouns. They got angry and frustrated saying "No, what's your gender you male or female, girl or a boy? I'm a girl. What are you? I said "I'm just a person who uses they/them pronouns." and then I walked away and I could hear them yelling like: "bro I just asked this person what they're gender was. I didn't ask for all that, are you a girl or boy? it's simple just like that!" and that's why I don't like people. And funny enough, they used my pronouns while talking to someone else lol
(2:40) As a human who uses she/they/he pronouns, I personally don’t like mixing pronouns (in one sentence) but I’m happy to do that for others. When people do that to refer to me I just get so confused myself!😂✨ (10:12) For me, I don’t exactly experience gender so I don’t care what pronouns people use for me. The only time I’d mind is if on a particular day I’m feeling dysphoric. The use of she/her pronouns would not help.
same! I do it for people who like to switch up pronouns, but I prefer if people choose he/him or they/them for me honestly, without interchanging them much :]
the fact that you said you don't experience gender is so interesting to me I definitely do experience gender but I love learning about how other people's brains work
52 here, so older generation I guess, Gen X. I used to be pretty bad with trans issues, I didn't understand it so I didn't accept it. Then I realized my acceptance didn't require my understanding. I accept lots of things I don't understand. Now I've gotten to the point where I have a friend who came out to me, as a trans woman, before she told anyone outside of her medical providers. I think that is a huge honor. Recently I've been having fun educating people who insist that They Them is plural. I point out that the word has been used to identify people whose gender is either unknown or irrelevant. And that it has been used like that since Chaucer.
Same here. I'm 52 and who am I to question how someone else is feeling. I don't have to understand it. If someone feels better with a different pronoun, just do it, it doesn't hurt me
This one one of the realizations that really helped me begin to understand more about gender. My own understanding of my gender was not super clear to me and I always had an “f-this” attitude towards societal gender roles. That made it hard for me at first, to open my mind up to the idea of someone feeling assured and confident in what gender they were. Once I understood that other people can have a strong sense of their gender identity, I realized that even though I don’t really know what that feels like, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible. I think that realization that other people have different feelings than us, but we don’t need to know all the details to accept them, is so important. It seems so fundamental to let go and relax, in order to open the door to others. I am so glad to see this comment and I’m happy that y’all have come to that realization. It is super cool and it reinforces that the acceptance of not understanding, is so so important.
@Jenna Grace I'm a bisexual male I totally get the not understanding how others feel thing. Like I don't understand how someone can see an attractive person, of any gender, and not be attracted to them. Just like non multisexuals have a hard time understanding how we work. And, similarly, I feel that pansexuals feel attraction in a different why than bisexuals. They tend to claim gender doesn't play a role. For ne it does, I am just attracted to all genders but that gender is important.
I'm cis and straight and had never doubted that. I totally get, that people are attracted to various people in various ways. I'm attracted to men, but not to all men and I've even met very few women who got my attention. I don't get the trans feeling, the feeling of being in the wrong body. Must be disturbing and terrible.
I love your videos so much noah i’m a queer person and i find so much comfort in your vidoes they helped me so much when i was struggling with excepting myself ( i still struggle with it but it’s better now) keep the good work up mate
changing pronouns mid sentence is amazing!!! i'm omni, agender, and use any (all) pronouns but i dress/act/look like a "stereotypical girl" and so often times people forget that i'm not cishet which is kinda upsetting but i get it :)
Oh my gosh yes! Non-binary (demigirl) and demisexual panromantic here, she/they, but I do nothing to hide my physiology and I'm a married mother with a cis husband, so most people forget/assume and treat me cis-het. So annoying!
Im cis. Im she/her i questioned my gender alot growing up. My sister is trans and she really pushed for me to be trans or nonbinary too it. Shes grown out of that shes cool now. But now i know for sure that i am a woman and i love being a girl. Feminine things give me euphoria and being called they them feels slightly dysphoric depending on the situation. Like if its a stranger its fine but if a friend uses they them i feel less feminine. I think it reminds me of people pushing for me to be a boy. People also thought i was a trans woman high school was weird.
Amazing that you've found your identity, thank you for sharing your experiences in that cis people can feel dysphoric too. I didn't know that, thank you for allowing me to understand
Honestly, as someone who's sex is female, I have gender dysphoria and have always felt more connected to being a boy, but i've never been able to actually show that because of homophobia/transphobia in my family and culture. I absolutely love this channel so much. like i don't even know how to explain it in a comment.
I'm personally a person under 16 that goes by neopronouns and seeing someone that's over 18 not being mad that I'm "too young" warms my heart 😭❤️ Edit: Thank you guys for all the likes and replies! Your all really cool people, I was honestly expecting a lot of backlash but I was surprised to check these replies and see none
@@JayPierce_Official i fucking love when people say pronounce instead of pronouns it's so funny for some reason and I couldn't tell you why if you asked me
This is how i came to using any pronouns. i used to care about labels and stuff like way way way too much. i needed a label to cling onto otherwise I felt so confused and just insane. so id constantly be looking for labels that felt right and no matter how much digging and looking none of them did. i went through so many label and pronoun changes I can't keep count. It got to a point where it was just so emotionally draining that I decided to just not care. i forced myself to not care about a label and I have felt at lot more at peace with my identity. so now I don't use any specific pronouns and don't label my gender or sexuality and I have found life so much easier. anyways :)
Responding to duel pronouns thing!! As someone that uses he/it/they I absolutely adore it when people mix up the pronouns mid sentence, it's super fun! People use multiple pronouns for a reason; they want you to use both!
As a (closeted) trans guy, I agree on the 'younger kids not caring about queer stuff' sentiment. One day I asked my younger brother (who is 9) if he knew what a trans person was. He said "Isn't that boys turning into girls and girls turning into boys?". After saying yes, he said "Yeah, it's cool. I support that." And I feel like the fact that a literal 9 year old is more understanding about this kind of stuff than grown adults is really telling.
When my transfem parent came out when I was around five, I accepted it straight away. I can't remember exactly how she came out but it was something like: "I want to be called Jasmine now. And I'm a woman." I was like, "Okay."
tbh teens and young kids mostly don't care these days. I had a classmate this year who fully socially transitioned over the summer break, and when she came back no one questioned it or gave it a second thought, the name and pronoun change came easily to everyone, and yeah, nobody cared lol.
@@maycarmel8416 yeah! everyone at my school respects the trans students we have here. those students have talked about grown adults being incredibly rude and violent towards them while kids and teens don’t even care. i guess kids just have a lot more of an open mind
I know one person (one of my best friends) who asks EVERYONE she meets and talks to their pronouns (in her words you never know so might as well ask to be respectful), and she also happens to be the one cishet person in my friend group (I’m nb). It’s amazing and I love her and it’s a REALLY good thing she’s over 6ft and athletic because we live in midwestern USA and some people get very angry by that question.
Hello! I am gender fluid and I go by any pronouns! I noticed you asked about how it feels to go by any pronouns and I would best describe it as (in my personal experience) that its almost like trying to find a message in some sort of abstract work where everyone may have their own conclusion! Anyways loved the video and I hope you have an amazing day!
For me I like being a guy as well as a girl who goes by she/him because nobody can misgender me. If they say "THATS A GIRL" its true because I'm a girl. if they say ''THATS A BOY" its true cause I'm a boy. And even if they only use one set of pronouns (Either he/him or she/her) its still my pronouns. #Bigenderpower
Cool, I've never encountered a she/him in the wild but I've always been fascinated by them from when I learned about them. I don't know how but I just find the she/him pronouns so cool, because it's like you said: no one can misgender you
@@furballscave4431 she's probably talking about conservative people who would intentionally use just one set of pronouns just to misgender him, those people would not use other pronouns probably
i adore nature names which is why i chose clay because it just sounds nice and suits me pretty well, people whose names are like saturn, bug, fern, jupiter etc its just makes me feel so happy (and yes most people with those kinda names like cavetown)
not completely related but I've been wearing a they/them pronoun button to school for a couple weeks, most people still use she/her but today I was talking to my desk mates in first period and one of them was like talking to the other about me and they were like 'this is a conversation between me and them' and it made me so happyyyy
YAY I'm happy for you! I recently went to a comicon and bought my friend a a fluffy purple and blue dragon print pin made from wood and enamel, I didn't tell them how much it cost (35$) but they've been wearing it to school everyday and look very happy wich makes me happy :D
All of these comments of people saying they like when people change pronouns mid-sentence is 1. making me very happy that y'all are getting validated, and 2. making me confront a lot of internalized enbyphobia about multiple pronoun usage, and realizing that I'd probably enjoy being referred to that way. I'm only out to a few people, but I'm hoping to come out to more people soon, so hopefully I can get support experimenting with pronouns Thanks y'all!
cis person here! and I would like to say that I'm so proud of all of you. some of you might be in a very dark place or came from a dark place, and just know that you are not alone and it will all turn out in the end. @FRISH idk why they would hate me unless i hurt them personally (which I try not to). They struggle with so much yet still push through. And for that, I am proud.
@@honey_Bee1333 That's the point, they hate all those that don't validate them. Everything else is "hurting them" or somehow causing a so called genocide. Apparently the old woman at the end is "offended" by being polite and not wanting to take part in the pronoun cult whilst even so far as calling herself as part of the older generation in order not to make others feel bad. Their "suffering" is self inflicted and no amount of emotional blackmail should encourage you to sympathise with them. They push their own problems onto other people. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to take part or being recorded on camera. Recognise who the ones are that don't respect people's boundaries.
19:17 OKAY. Okay okay OKAY. I am so ready to talk about this, I feel like I was made for this moment. Hear me out. Today it’s increasingly accepted that gender is a construct, but it’s still a newer concept, so when I was explained the rationale around 10 years ago, my cis ass struggled to grapple with it, particularly because it felt like it was denying trans people their identity. I’d long accepted I had weak gender identity- I would have described myself as cis by default, but if you accept sex and gender are separate, and sexuality and gender are separate, and interests and gender are separate, I realized that gender couldn’t be a reliable predictor for any aspect of a persons life, and was therefore arbitrary, or if not exactly arbitrary, arbitrarily defined. Before I go further, I DO believe people identify with gender, sometimes very strongly, but people identify strongly with race too, and even nationality, and those are Obviously social constructs. So even though it took me a long ass time to fully accept gender as a social construct, once I did, I chose to reject the foundational concept of gender on a personal level, and when I did, it changed how I felt ON that personal level. I went from mostly straight to properly pan, with some preferences, I more fully embraced my femininity, I AM trans, I am a little grossed out being lumped in with guys, but I wasn’t until my mental state changed. BUT THAT SAID, I still code mostly masc- not exclusively, but I don’t owe anyone androgyny- so most of society treats me as male, and if I believe gender isn’t real, it follows any humanizing pronouns would be equally valid, so it’s I can imagine choosing he/him pronouns for convenience even though for me personally, it’s like an itchy sweater. Like, if you call me he/him it’s fine, but even if *I* have rejected gender associations, I know *you* probably haven’t, and so when you use exclusively masculine pronouns, you are pushing me back into a box I reject, so if I know you enough to tell you I’m non-binary, it means a lot to me when you treat me as non-binary.
I use she/they pronouns and personally I do like when people change between the two in different sentences (though if they use both in one sentence it does confuse me lmao). Also I use both so people can use whatever they’re comfortable with for me:)
YESS I love it when people use multiple pronouns in one sentence. Ima trans guy but my pronouns are he/they, and when people’s use them both in one sentence or both in back to back sentences it makes me so happy. I’m not out tho and my mom is strongly against singular they so it’s rlly only online people that use my correct pronouns😔
She/they here. I like basically any use of my pronouns except for when people exclusively they/them me. Mixing it up is great. (I'm transfeminine and lean more she than they)
Really appreciate you talking about your growth over the years. More of this, please. Edit: also, the advisor of the gay club at my college used it/its pronouns for political reasons and it was fascinating.
Wow, I will have to look more into pronouns for political reasons. That concept is new to me. Thanks for sharing that! I wonder if it is similar to how I sometimes feel gender-bending can be a bit of a protest against the patriarchy and societal gender roles. It’s my internal anarchist 😂

Noah ! You made me comfortable enough to question my gender. Turns out I’m a trans guy ! So thank you for your videos and songs. They help so much. And this video was very nice, gave me ideas for my new hair color🖤
Changing pronouns mid-sentence makes me feel almost as good as one of my biggest idols acknowledging that his character is bi (cuz *Gods* I love Kit Young lmao)
I'm genderfluid but I tend to use they/them whether I'm feeling he or she or whatever and when people switch pronouns midsentence, it gives me so much euphoria cuz it shows me that they understand and they accept me
I think the reason why older people often completely reject those things is that they grew up so different (not only in that topic). It’s hard to question all the things that you learned over years. It’s like taking away the fundament of your life, if that makes sense. Sure, I’d be great if they would be more open about it, but I understand why they’re not.
16:41 I was lucky enough for one year in middle school i went to a public school were they actually talked about gender identity and being trans and all the other gender things, it really helped me figure out my pronouns!
That’s awesome. I’m a rising senior and in all of my years of school these things were never taught/mentioned to me.. I had to read a book and figure it out on the internet to know they existed 😭 Might be because I live in the south though. (Srry for necroposting)
I usually use he/they but I'm exploring xey/xem and I absolutely love it when people use all of my pronouns in one sentence like it just makes me so happy
@@SuperJJParker they are different pronouns entirely. A lot of people who don't really vibe with the common pronouns (he/she/ they) use these to make themselves more comfortable.
@@nycgorman yeah, I understand that, but as someone who doesn't know anything about this stuff, is there an actual difference between they and xey? Isn't the they pronoun for people who don't identify with man or woman? In what way does xey differ from that? How would you describe the xey pronoun?
@@SuperJJParker technically, they're basically the same- just an alternative to they/them. People who use them just like how those pronouns make them feel euphoric and it's the same for me. I just like how they just kind of resonate with me and make me feel more comfortable. I hope i answered your question. also, it's awesome that you're open to learning!
i go by she/they and really have no preference at all - my parents and older people tend to stick with she, and i don't mind at all. a lot of my instructors and professors use they, and that's chill too. my closest friends + my partner switch it up whenever they feel like it and i like that too :)
Milk doesn't help your bones stay healthy. Calcium does. Hence why vegans all have healthy solid bones AND they're not at the risk of cancer as much as non-vegans are since they get a lot of calcium from the sources that are actually MEANT for the human body aka non-animal sources. Then again I forgot for a sec how the LGBT is so heavily into animal abuse and animal slaughter except for the lesbians.
3:08 “Do you like that, when people change genders mid-sentence” I prefer when they do, yes. My gender is always basically a complicated mix of guy and enby although the percentages of each changes, and when people change between neutral and masculine pronouns I feel it really well represents that for me and I like it.
He/They here! For me personally it doesn't make a difference if someone switches pronouns midsentence for me. My relationship with my pronouns is more of these are the two you can call me by. If someone uses both, great! If they use one or the other, also great!
im 14 and i go by any pronouns and one of my friends asked me the other day why i go by any pronouns and not specific ones and i answered by saying "because my gender is now in the bin"
I'm genderfuild and am still trying to get others to accept that I use they/them pronouns primarily, but I'd absolutely love if people would mix my pronouns up a bit. I feel like I can be any gender depending on what feels right in the moment so it'd be incredibly validating! That said I've only just started asking people to call me by the name I prefer and even though I've been using it for myself for about a year now, it's a little jarring to hear others actually say it. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love it, it just feels like an "oh shit, it's finally actually happening!" moment.
In one of Noah's older videos, he mentions that when he first asked people to call him "Noah" and then later they did, he'd have an "Oh, s#!t they know" reaction and then have to remind himself that he had asked them to use that name.

If someone feels better with a different pronoun, just do it, it doesn't hurt me
@@kilsestoffel3690 exactly, so many people are concerned about things that literally have no effect on them.

I support that."
And I feel like the fact that a literal 9 year old is more understanding about this kind of stuff than grown adults is really telling.
When my transfem parent came out when I was around five, I accepted it straight away. I can't remember exactly how she came out but it was something like:

I was like, "Okay."
tbh teens and young kids mostly don't care these days. I had a classmate this year who fully socially transitioned over the summer break, and when she came back no one questioned it or gave it a second thought, the name and pronoun change came easily to everyone, and yeah, nobody cared lol.

Whenever someone tells me I can choose their pronouns I always have so much fun referring to them with ever single pronoun I know
I am a FTM Trans Guy with He/They pronouns, I LOVE IT WHEN MY FRIENDS SWITCH MY PRONOUNS MID-SENTENCE!

Cool, I've never encountered a she/him in the wild but I've always been fascinated by them from when I learned about them. I don't know how but I just find the she/him pronouns so cool, because it's like you said: no one can misgender you

18:09 "You know it's going to upset people." heh heh heh....that's the whole reason we do it
All of these comments of people saying they like when people change pronouns mid-sentence is 1. making me very happy that y'all are getting validated, and 2. making me confront a lot of internalized enbyphobia about multiple pronoun usage, and realizing that I'd probably enjoy being referred to that way. I'm only out to a few people, but I'm hoping to come out to more people soon, so hopefully I can get support experimenting with pronouns Thanks y'all!
good luck on your pronoun journey ! you are loved and valid

cis person here! and I would like to say that I'm so proud of all of you. some of you might be in a very dark place or came from a dark place, and just know that you are not alone and it will all turn out in the end. I may have no idea what you guys go through, but I will try my best to understand so I can support those around me :)
Why are you proud of people that hate you?
@@frishter What??... We do not hate cis people. Where did you get that from? 😭

I have a few NB friends, and guys, it’s true. THEY ALL HAVE THE BEST SWAG
I use she/they pronouns and personally I do like when people change between the two in different sentences (though if they use both in one sentence it does confuse me lmao). Also I use both so people can use whatever they’re comfortable with for me:)

We grew up in reality
16:41 I was lucky enough for one year in middle school i went to a public school were they actually talked about gender identity and being trans and all the other gender things, it really helped me figure out my pronouns!
That’s awesome. I’m a rising senior and in all of my years of school these things were never taught/mentioned to me.. I had to read a book and figure it out on the internet to know they existed 😭 Might be because I live in the south though. (Srry for necroposting)
I usually use he/they but I'm exploring xey/xem and I absolutely love it when people use all of my pronouns in one sentence like it just makes me so happy
In what way does xey differ from they?

GODDAMNIT IF ONLY I'D DRANK MORE MILK LIKE MY BROTHER I'D STILL BE CIS. Remember guys, drink milk or your cisness just goes POOF
Me who doesn't drink milk because it makes me unable to breathe at night: do I have squishy they bones too?
Milk doesn't help your bones stay healthy. Calcium does. Hence why vegans all have healthy solid bones AND they're not at the risk of cancer as much as non-vegans are since they get a lot of calcium from the sources that are actually MEANT for the human body aka non-animal sources. Then again I forgot for a sec how the LGBT is so heavily into animal abuse and animal slaughter except for the lesbians.
Um actually dairy causes osteoporosis more than it prevents it.
3:08 “Do you like that, when people change genders mid-sentence”
I prefer when they do, yes.
Ooh, new song! I'll stream it ASAP! I love your content, Noah!!
enby: picks nature nouns for name
noah: YEAH!!!
im 14 and i go by any pronouns and one of my friends asked me the other day why i go by any pronouns and not specific ones and i answered by saying "because my gender is now in the bin"
Sounds like you are going through the same thing. Eventually your chosen name will feel natural to you and your deadname will sound like the remnant of a bad dream.
