Perhaps an explanation from James Lindsay ("New Discourses" on UA-cam), someone who's analyzed CRT literature from authors like Robin DiAngelo, Ibram X Kendi, and Herbert Marcuse may enlighten you to what the ideology has in store. You are mistaken to think CRT has been studied for decades, rather, it has its roots in Intersectionality (Kimberly Crenshaw, 2008) which first manifested in 2014-2015, and had its first successful hostile takeover and application of their tactics in Evergreen College. The ideology does not simply demand things like affirmative action or reparations, but the "future discrimination" against whites and the "race traitors," and the launching of a revolution which aims to dispossess said groups of their property and livelihood through incremental means, first taking over educational, cultural, and legal institutions to indoctrinate the youth and alienate their political opponents from the service of the justice system, before resorting to coercion, intimidation, canceling/economic deprivation through deception and kinetic conflict to gain the compliance of the neutral majority and excise those remaining few who would challenge or test their ideology or its tenets, taking inspiration from Mao Tse-sung. They strive for equality of outcome with minorities in most positions of leadership regardless of merit (because according to the PC/Woke, Merit, amongst other things like sex/gender and economics, is perceived to be a false construct used to control people for ill ends, per the teachings of postmodernist Michel Foucault), a utopia that can never be reached due to the educational bell curve and the pareto principle observed in all populations, and when they inevitably come across hardship and economic downturn as all marxist systems do, their ideology insists that they have no individual responsibility, blame or control of their outcomes; they are instructed to scapegoat the white population and the "Uncle Tom", who, even dispossessed of any representation in government and culture, still have the power to conspire against the revolution. What befell the Kulaks of Russia and China, the white farmers of Rhodesia and (increasingly) South Africa, business owners and political opponents in Cuba and Venezuela, and white collar workers in Cambodia during the reign of the Khmer Rouge, few will be left alive of the designated scapegoat. Do you wonder why the Cubans flipped for Desantis despite their decades-long record of supporting the Democrats? Why would you want to teach minorities useless and subversive skills which to force them to become more dependent on the government, parasitism, and/or criminality in order to get by? Why would you deny them skills that could actually help them improve their situation? Why should we consider passing kids who score Ds in their classes because of their minority status, regardless of long term harms? Why leave them with the only option but to launch a revolution in the name of self preservation? Do not repeat the error of The Great Society. I wish I could say this ideology was folly, but it is very much intentional, with publicly stated goals. And another note: long before Mr. Desantis resorted to removing these CRT and Gender-centric books from the cirricula, the left were destroying and modifying material from the dominant culture. They had their own book burnings, you see, and before they modified Roald Dahls books as of recent, schools did away with pre-existing history curricula and replaced it with the 1619 project (outright fabrications in many cases, and studied not by historians, but journalists with postmodern marxist bends), stopped publishing books from Dr. Suess in the hopes that the offending material and any record of their existence would fade away through time and cumulative damage to remaining copies, and are in the process of co-opting cultural productions ("Velma" is a recent example, with other examples including Star Wars, Disney, DC and Marvel Comics, Ghostbusters, Warhammer 40K, Lord of The Rings, various independent book and comic publishers like IDW Comics and Dark Horse Comics, amongst other publishers, franchises, and companies, subsidized by ESG) not only to pass on a PC message under previous presumptions of trust, but to taint and destroy their reputation and marketability--before replacing these dead franchises and characters with their own vain and reprehensible idols, who they try to pass off as virtuous. You do not understand CRT. This is not the civil rights era. This is another beast entirely, and you are mistaken to conflate the two. Again, I want you to look up James Lindsay's videos on CRT and the Woke ideology ("New Discourses"). He is a liberal who speaks in a neutral manner, and can describe its tenets to you in a way you can understand. He famously ran an experiment with Peter Bogohssian by swapping out certain words in Mein Kampf with certain terms used by 3rd Wave feminism back in the early 2010s--most of which were reviewed and published by Scholarly Journals as "credible sources." Do not fall prey to the deception, and don't let others fall prey either. I should know. I used to be like you.

And it can’t extricate itself because it REFUSES to acknowledge the damage and the cost of repair associated with the history that DeSantion wants to squelch. @@theifam1642 Is this impossible for these communities to achieve, in your eyes? Is this country irredeemably racist? Unfortunately, there's a good deal of us who have been able to adapt just fine who will attempt to stop you from upending the Republic and the constitution that we were supposedly all bound by until this administration turned it into a piece of toilet paper. If there is no lie from the press too great for you to reject, and there is no truth but power, then quite frankly, there's plenty of us who have seen through the lies and usury of the left and establishment, who have seen the gradual fall of our system, and are plenty pissed enough to exact revenge, if only the left dares to start shooting, as much as the possibility frightens me. Many of us have stories from our ancestors of what the left has done to our countries, the false promises of utopianism, and the narratives and baits to moral hazard of oppression and the oppressor, the lies that they repeated and disguised to sell it, and the stacks of bodies piled like logs because of it. We see how these great societies have since degenerated and fallen to ruin. We will not let it happen to our home again, despite your feelings. If you and the African American community have no future here, let me lend you some advice: I hear that Ghana is accepting applications for citizenship from African Americans, and are willing to pay for the flight. You might as well take it. Not too long ago, I was a live and let live guy, I was willing to let you do your thing so long as you left me and mine alone. Long ago, I thought the justice system was broken, and needed to be improved drastically. Long ago, I was a lot like you. Over time, I had to kill my sacred cows because time and time and time again, I was proven wrong. The left got more and more of what they wanted, yet they doubled down and kept pressing the attack; the minority left did the same thing, yet demanded more, scapegoated more, and were never sated; affirmative action nor the justice system letting your disproportionately imprisoned people go did anything, so why would reparations? The more and more, I saw broken families, dysfunctional relationships across all of our populations because of the left, and saw what they did to our kids and their future prospects; they would have no children, because the parts they would need to have them when they grew up were gone. And the left are still not satisfied. We finally sought to stop the left through what means we had left, but all they did was lie, double down, and burn whatever was in their way. I used to be like you, growing up in a lower-class Latino family, but more and more, I saw that nothing would stop these people's continued scapegoating of others. When Whitey was gone, the left and the minorities they levied for their cause then blamed Asians and cried that the conservatives were committing hate crimes against them ("Stop Asian Hate," remember that?). When they were gone, you then moved on to Hispanics and called them race traitors. What I see, you and most of yours will never accept responsibility. Leaving each other alone was thrown off the table many, many years ago, and you threw away your only big chance at having freedom from the system when you rejected the grassroots right that was left behind from the schism after 2018, and continue to do so whenever the olive branch is offered. Be honest with us, the left and the minority communities they command, you included, will never stop until we are all dispossessed and murdered, as is typical of all marxist societies, because you think you'd be justified in doing so. Be real, You would do it because recognizing the uncomfortable truth that the universe is unfair, that all things have scarcity, that you have to build up to things over time, and that some people in your own group have to be left behind in order to achieve recursive improvement is too much of hassle for you. Wealth and prosperity, I know, may never be meant for me, especially now as our economy takes a hit, but i wish to build up for it so that the person who comes after me will have a better prospect. I mean, I understand what this bill is trying to say. Shaming people for the sins of their great grandpa is never ok, but I believe people (especially college students) should be told the ugly truth about their country. Because yes our country was systematically racist during its origins, and remnants of that racism are still seen today, heck, Black achievement is mostly never talked about. I could understand the “don’t say gay bill” that was a matter of keeping ideology out of schools, but I believe all Americans should know their history, good and bad.
I'm not sure how teaching the truth about history is a form of shaming people. In my understanding it opens the door for conversation and understanding on some of the experiences a diverse group of people had or are having in America. I heard a statement that parents don't want their children to feel like their ancestors oppressed a race of people, although that is the truth and history of America. By only seeing one side of this issue and honoring that view by not considering the mental well being of the children on the other side of this issue also shows that in this present time that very group of people that don't want to be seen as oppressor's are still being oppressive. This bill makes a certain demographic feel as if their history in America no matter how horrible is not worthy of attention or a conversation, which is another form of oppression and belittling a certain demographic, and also shows that they really have no voice in America. Instead of trying to hide history, or change history this could be a wonderful way for parents and teachers to teach the ugly truth as well as what lessons were learned so that this history and behavior won't happen again. But history unfortunately repeats itself in different forms.
@@ismith1268 yeah I 100% agree with that don't get me wrong. Covering up history is never the answer. I've just seen some instances where people have gone a bit too far with it, saying they were a bad person purely on the fact that they were white.

An accurate depiction of the history of this country is non-negotiable. The distortion of this history is unacceptable as we all agree. Is it the fault of the black community that the history of this country paints certain individuals in a unfavorable light? No it isn't. There are things mentioned in this curriculum that do not belong, this is true. Whether those subjects should be taught separately is another discussion entirely. To wipe the history books clean of the crimes committed against the black community would be underhanded and criminal. Every bit of this history serves to answer the question of "why does the black community find itself in the condition it is currently in?". It didn't happen overnight nor out of thin air. The condition of the black community all over this country not only in the state of FL is the direct result of WS and its implementation. So when you look at the black community in its entirety keep in mind that you are seeing the results of deep seeded systematic racism. All adults know this...the children deserve to know this as well. Attempts at sweeping under the rug the sick mentality of those who have set the timer on the black community MUST not go unnoticed nor unchecked. Especially while WS( yes they are not exstint) teach their children to hate their peers for nothing more than the color of their skin. To erase from the history books the steps taken to cripple the black/brown communities would only empower the WS to go even further in their fallacies of the laziness and incompetence of these hardworking people. When they speak of the "good Ole days" they do so with pride, when they look down on little black and brown children for the conditions they have been born into they do so with pride. That same energy must be kept when discussing the honest history of the United States. If it is the true goal of those in power to correct the mistakes of their predecessors erasing the ugly truth of this country and how it has decided that much of the population is expendable (especially those residing in the communities mentioned). It is amazing to see the eloquence one speaks with while attempting to "destroy the evidence" of what has been done to these people and to place it all under the guise of "its for the children". How about we destroy rascim in its entirety before we erase it from the history books just to be safe. That’s a false history and y’all should be ashamed teaching a false history.
You mean the guy who had more black slaves than everyone else in colonial America which empowered him to ultimately become the first president of the United States? That George Washington? All CRT says is to tell the entire story not the bits and pieces that make it seem like that if it were not for him, we'd all be farmers still.

As I sit back and watch these politicians tell ppl what they need to worry about! Like CRT that has been around for DECADES! Now all this parents that has kids that has been doing in there custody. Didn’t know their kids was being taught something until a politician told them! I mean to me that will prove two things, 1. A lot of parents are ignorant to what they kids learn, or 2 they are being willfully ignorant because everyone else is doing it!
It hasn’t been taught in public schools for decades. This literally started in K-12 public education within the last 10 years.
@@jpete3027666 CRT is not taught in public schools! It’s a college course! Let’s say it started 10 years ago in K-12! Republicans only was concerned when trump brought it up!

I used to have sympathy for you and your "bodies" as the left loves to say nowadays. Not anymore. Hate me all you want, but at least consider what I have said. Reverse course, and stop doing the thing that has failed all of you, for your own sake.
@@theifam1642So how did you become a prosecutor? With all the barriers standing in your way... Because there are none.. The only barrier that is in black people way is themselves... Agree
Isn’t this what the bill is about? No gender teaching = gender neutrality

However I do want to let you know that I'm not disagreeing with you. History both good and bad should be taught to the people, we just have to make sure not to demonize people as a result of that. (Because trust me, I've seen some stuff)

Not saying we don't trust the government or the politicians but how could we?... historically speaking.😇

Why would atheists need to provide anything for people to accept reality as it is?
I’m a person, and I don’t need religion. You’re a person, and you don’t need it either.
You may prefer it, and that is your choice for sure.
What can religion offer that you can’t get outside of religion?
@@moonshoes11 I have looked at the facts and religion probably is not true, but it motivates people to do good. Maybe one day humans will be ready for a world without religion but that day is not today. And religions (Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and moderate Islam) agree on the same things.
Let's both sides meet in the middle here. If there was no CRT being taught in school, then this bill is meaningless. If there was maybe that is too much for younger kids, since it's a Law School topic, so I hear.
Now let's get something important done for families struggling.
Thats the problem. Leftists have monopolized what it means to struggle. CRT is a idea that stems from trying to help struggling folks. Who said only minorities oppressed from racism are struggling? FOH, DOWN WITH CRT!
CRT is only taught at a college/university level for specific degrees. It's been proven they don't teach it in k-12 grade and MANY teachers have come forth providing evidence to back this up.
@@jish55 Teach it to your own people for your own interests and beliefs. Dont make it universal.
Yeah there is no such thing as racism as 10 black people where murdered in a grocery store!
Taxation without representation.

So the definition of freedom has changed? No one can choose what they believe in…. Either he’s real dumb or just a hypocrite.

A mother almost all ways got the child custody rights because a mother can only know the needs of her child… that quality is inherent in motherhood. A mother don’t need a law to tell her wether she can or cannot abort!!

Wait so the civil war was not because of slavery? enlighten me pleae
Civil War was about Lincoln’s administration wanting to and invade the south to reestablish power. It was mostly about state power and a new tariff that was established two days before Lincoln took office. Enslavement was an issue in the election but it really didn’t have a major part in the war until Lincoln used it to get support from the Union.
no one said that
If you think the Civil War was just about slavery, then you better get a refund on your public education!
@@shanebaggs Slavery was the central issue in the Decleration in the Causes of Secession.
Sorry you will need boomers to die off before you can rewrite history. They educated us before revisionists could end education.
@@abellius66 I know it was. So let's talk about revisionism
He claims this is about education not indoctrination. Ah indoctrination is exactly what you're doing.
Explain with specifics and compare it to a CRT education. I wager the CRT version is what you mean by indoctrination.
@@abellius66 CRT is a college level legal class. IT IS NOT TAUGHT IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS! They are lying. Not one of these politicians can tell you what CRT is and all their examples is to deny people of color credit for their accomplishments. The indoctrination is what they want to allow and specifically what they won't allow. Like in the math books, it's being called CRT because a black mathematician is given credit. That's not CRT.
