You must have more guns than the pawn shop you get them from . 😂
Not yet
Just swaps them back for the next 1 😂
@@WHOTEEWHO lol. I like that . “Not yet . “😂
A man needs to have goals!
Weekends were made for families and firearms 😊
Looks like a Howa 1500. I have this in 30-06. Awesome rifle.
Howa makes some damn fine guns.
Try 87g hornady it will put the 100g to shame
You 243 looks like Mini Pearl with that tag hanging off of it ! LOL
🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see the 243 getting some love. The 243 is a great cartridge for new shooters that seems to be forgotten. I would think with some more rounds this rifle would get some better groups. It seems like the stainless barrels take a little more break in. Another great video.
Hey! Yup next video is an ammo test with this thing to test more factory ammo
Are the Howa 1500s very similar to the Weatherby Vanguards?. I have two Vanguard weathetguard bronze rifles, one in .223 and one in 6.5 creedmore. They are both great looking and fantastic shooters. Keep up the great videos!.
If your interested Ron Spomer Outdoors Podcast sit down with Adam Weatherby less than 2 weeks ago. Really good podcast.
The Vanguard's reciver/action and barrel are Howa then Weatherby does final assembly of the rifle at there plant in Wyoming,Howa also made the Smith and Wesson rifles they were even named model 1500 rifles,I have a old S & W 1500 Deluxe in .243 beautiful gun shoots as good today as it did when my father bought it in 1983
Great show 💯😁💯😁💯💯 and thanks for the info 😁👌👌👌
Thanks for watching
I am probably wrong but, when checking if the barrel is hot, check it closer to the action, like where the throat of the barrel is/where the cartridge will be sitting when it's fired.
Love my 243 savage 110 predator it groups really well but it’s a boat anchor. Shoots way under 1” groups but also weighs 14 pounds set up to coyote hunt. 42” swagger bipods vortex viper optic sig titanium can tally precision mounts for scope.
Also will add that I do load my own ammo just for my rifle
14 Pounds sounds like a BAR .🐺
I just love your videos thanks for sharing and your honesty
Appreciate you watching
Looks like you have a bit of a fore end pressure problem there.... Still the cold barrel groups are great which is all you need for hunting.
Another great video... -🙂
Hi there, is there any chance of you doing some reviews on any of the new Sako 90s especially in 222R or 223R or 22/250. My favorites are the Bavarian models but whatever you could get hold of would be nice. Cheers.
I have several videos on the sako 90 already. Even a deer hunt. In 300 win mag tho
I am proud of ya you finally got a scope mounted down low on the barrel Now your cooking with bacon Grease !!!! What do you think of that scope?
I like it
Another great demo! You rock WTW!!!!
Appreciate you watching!
My next rifle will be a Howa / Weatherby Vanguard
I'm still waiting for the 6.5-300 weatherby video
Me too
Seems like the same rifle as the Weatherby Vanguard you have in .243 or no?
Similar but different in many ways
Now you got me interested damn ya. Been looking to get a new bolt gun. Have you ever put hands on the 1500 in 6.5 creed with the 16" barrel. I want something with a medium to heavy barrel without dropping a grand.
I have not seen a 16 incher yet
@@WHOTEEWHO Check out "Grab a Gun". Based out of Texas. They have one for about 600. They are a middle man company that will ship to your FFL.
What do you typically do for a break-in with new rifles?? You could possibly get marginally better groups…or could make no difference
What do you think?
Makes no difference
Good video!
🙏🙏🙏
Wheres the discout code good for, Arken website?
Yes. Arken website
Which rings do you have in your Arken? Are they the high?
Medium rings
Thank you!
Cool shooter 👍 😎
Good gun
Hey Robert
Adam, In your experience how does the Howa compare with CZ as far as accuracy overall? Accuracy is the main thing I'm looking for.
I'd say pretty comparable
Appreciate your input, work and videos!@@WHOTEEWHO
Not to bad….after all….you shouldnt get a hot barrel when hunting…..one shot one kill….or maybe two 😂
How do you know what the measurement should be between the two dots?
Guesstimate. Doesn't have to be perfect
Do you not realize the weatherby vanguard is made by howa. Pretty much the same gun as the 1500
👍👍
👍👍
plenty accurate to put venison in the freezer
I have the Howa heavy barrel in 243W. I was very unimpressed with the groupings. After inspection the action was moving in the plastic stock. To stop the stock flexing I filled the fore stock under the barrel with epoxy and the hollow butt section but still having the barrel floated. Then I bedded the recoil lug and tang with bedding compound now it shoots better than I can. Just a cheap way of solving the problem with the plastic Hogue stock flexing.
Cheers mate from Oz
If you can find the no longer made Marlin XS-7 or XL-7 bolt action rifles, buy them. They are well made, accurate, and cheap.
Got a blue 308 and 3006 stainless Marlins. Great shooters. The 3006 is my favorite to shoot of all my rifles.
Yes! I threaded the barrel on a 270 for my wife and installed a custom brake. with 130 grain hornady she eats. Nice and lite rifles and definitely accurate. Only issue she has is while carrying it shouldered the bolt will open occasionally. A rubber band has helped.
Sako only.
Australia
@@glennllewellyn7369 Sako, Howa and CZ have amazing quality for the money.
@user-mj4pl2ky1d I have not priced them lately. Have to check the fun auction sites to find one. They were dirt cheap after Marlin discontinued them, around $250 - $275.
The federal powershock and Hornady American whitetail are cheap accurate rounds for .243.
Howa has always been good for years and still is today. Their quality and price are excellent.
The .243 is a zippy one !
"I know it's a shotgun but..." Since you can/do shoot almost everything I would love to see you wring-out a Savage Renegauge someday. Love your videos. Don't ever change!
I have several videos on the Renegauge. I can think of atleast 4 videos
My oversight/my bad. Sorry - I should have known. 😂 Thanks!
Found this channel a few weeks ago when i bought a 7mm-08. Now i need a 243 now too
Appreciate you watching!

I NEED a 243…because reasons…

Nice quick sight-in!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
Ephesians 6:10-18
Great round that .243
Luv The 243!
Me too
Many people underestimate the .243 very versatile round. If I could only choose one bolt gun being from the midwest hands down it would be.243.
Howa for sure
Arken Optics offering a sweet 25% off deal, it's the perfect time to upgrade your setup. Can't beat the feeling of precision on the range!
Sweet rig the .243win is an underestimated round imo it's got tons of boogie with low recoil 👍👍
Should get and test the mossberg mvp patrol rifle in 308! Looks like a great truck rifle for the mountains.
🇦🇺😎👍I have a Howa 243 varmint 24” blued with a Vortex 6-20x50 Viper. It has a standard Hogue black rubber stock which flexes too much when being shot off the bipod. . Off the sand bags the best I can do so far is 38/50mm @100 yards with Winchester factory ammunition. Personally I am disappointed considering the rifle is immaculate and all care was taken. Maybe different ammo or even reloads will be required to get better groups…Honestly I thought it would do much better. I have other Howas that shoot sub moa but so far not this one
Great video - I believe it's the same gun as the weatherby?
Try a group without the susher machine. It may be altering barrel harmonics.

I have that exact model chambered in .308!
Me to and 223
Awesome
I love my 243 ! Would become a member but I live on a fixed income and can't afford it . But I do enjoy your videos thanks for putting them on !
I appreciate you watching!
Try the hornady 100 interlock
Hornady these days is overpriced/over rated. Used to be my go to brand until they did the forced jab mandate on their employees, even after the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. I will NEVER buy Hornady products again. I can't understand how people who claim to be pro-2A still support these companies who were goose stepping to the Biden mandates.
Bloody awesome rifles the howa 1500 , have a very good reputation down here in AUS 🇦🇺
Love my cheap savage 243. Easily puts a d33r down 1 shot and holds 0 yr through yr.
I also live in Tennessee Bradley county to be exact.what use for deer hunting is a Remington 700 chamberd in 243. this setup works for me.i have recovered every deer that I have shot.and no bruised shoulder. 😊
Awesome
Howa 1500's are great rifles. My .243 didn't care much for the Core Lokts. It did however love the Federal 95 gr. Fusion factory loads.
.5 to .75 inch groups all day.
Deer hated them though!
🦌🦌🦌
people ask me... "what's the difference between a .223. and a .243????
problem solved. 2
Video ain't working, btw. Saw a Howa in 243 local today. $550, threaded barrel, no rail or scope. Felt smooth, but the trigger and rifle were both MUCH heavier than the Ruger I have now.
Video working for me
@@WHOTEEWHOInfinite loading black for me. Only video too... Oh no! They are on to me!!!
@@WHOTEEWHO Eh! It finally plays!
Try 80 grain bullets and I think it will get tighter. Guessing it’s a one and ten twist barrel. Mine liked 80 grain best and did like yours with 100 grain
Yup. Stat tuned for another video. This one loves 80 gr
Awesome video.. I have a savage model 16 chambered in 243 WIN and have taken a few deer and coyotes with it already. Just bought a savage 6.5 CM however that I’m looking to make my new hunting rifle. The semi auto Browning Mk2 chambered in 30-06 that I own has way too much recoil to remain accurate haha
I personally don't carry around rifle when I'm hunting. I'd rather have heavy barrel on my rifles.
Try some fed fusion
As, the group (though still good) opens up slightly as the barrel warms. We all know, not so much a factor for hunting rifles as the cold shot is the money shot. Another great video. Thanks.
I LOVE my arken optics! Best scopes for the $$, bar none!
ABSOLUTELY
Love my Howa 1500 in 300 Win Mag, great budget rifle.
Love the 300wm
Thanks for reviewing the Howa 1500 again . have had good results with it in 30-06 . thanks for the budget reviews . never have used an arken don't see them around the shops here in Canada. At least in my area I've not came across them. I like the howa 2stage trigger also.. Good.to.go right out the box. budget friendly ,accurate .. Lifetime warranty. . great bang for the buck
I love the howas
Awesome setup. Too bad The cans are crazy expensive without the tax stamp. And threaded barrels are illegal here in the Peoples Republic of Washington State.
If u had to choose between a howa 1500 and a Remington 700 which would ya go with ?
That'll Do It! 100 Grain CL'ks... Good Hunting Rifle and Easy To Find Ammo...... I have the Howa 1500 in 308 and 6.5. Great Rifles! Need to Get the 243 for the Proper Group of Calibers! But... We have a Ruger American in 243 for the Time Being. Boyds Stock.... Good Stuff! Appreciate The Video!
Awesome. Appreciate you watching
I wish I could find the 243 Howa like that one they are non existant except in the blued version. The stainless black houge you cant find. I am hoping when the new howa super deluxe stainless version comes out maybe I could get one or I might just get the blued version. Awesome video though I have been waiting to see these results when you previewed the rifle a while back.
Had a bad experience with a 270 not shooting MOA. Sent it back and took 7 months to rectify the situation. I know they are good rifles, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Really wanting the Super Deluxe in 30-06. Just a bit nervous.
I really don’t like the cheap, plastic, non flush detachable magazines that everything seems to have anymore. I love the flush metal baseplate top loaders like Howas
I love em
Close enough for me I’d be happy with that!
Arken is the best cheap scope love it
Add a little epoxy on the front of the action! Those groups will tighten right up. I have accurized both the 1500 and the mini mouser.
You set up the rifle for a Hunt how did it go? Just asking 🙏 ❤️
You should take it back out and feed it some of the norma whitetail, or the hornady whitetails.
Whetherby Vanguard/ Howa same platform. I have the mini 1500 in 6.5 Grendel excellent little rifle.
That's something
Another good honest out of the box review, keep it up WTW
Thanks for watching
You can call that your Mini Pearl rifle with that tag hanging off of it.🤪
Bolt guns are so much fun...
You can’t beat that with factory ammo!!!
Well that's my favorite deer catching caliber. Neck shots are my game. What was the price overall. Scope & rifle. Thank you.
I am there with you. About 6 hundo for both rifle and scope together
Nice '' Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
I was wondering , how much difference in group size would there be between 150 grain and 130 grain boolots? Anybody ever tried it ?
Will depend on your specific gun
Always amazed you can get the same ammo type in all the different calibers. Getting a replacement box of something you like around here starts a whole new treasure hunt.
I bore sight by removing the bolt, looking down the barrel, centering a target at 50 yards in the bore and adjusting the scope to the bullseye. That gets me usually within 3 or 4 inches, on the paper at the worst.
When I was about 12 years old my father bought me a Winchester M70, heavy barrel, amazing trigger, bedded action, FF barrel in .243 to shoot woodchucks in the alfalfa fields along the river. I shot that rifle for 15 years, starting with Federal Premium 243V that was loaded with a 60gr Sierra HP. It shot quarter sized groups at 100 yards, but I couldnt afford the amount I was shooting so i started handloading using the same 60gr Sierra HPs. Those huge fields taught me a lot about shooting at distance.
Unfortunately, all that shooting with those light, fast bullets finally burnt the barrel out. I ended up trading it to a gunsmith who was going to rebarrel it.
It might be nice to add some Caldwell sand/ shot bags to your lead sled. I do and it really helps when shooting, especially the .30' calibers. Carry on Adam !
Mine didn't like the 100 grain. 95 grain is the sweet spot for my howa 243
Mine likes 80. Video on that soon
Hey WhoTee... How far apart are your sight-in dots? Hit and Aim I know you probably said it before but can't remember.
Roughly 2 inches
Hey there, yeah I;m getting spoiled :) Always good shooting ! Thanks Wishing you the best :)
Appreciate you watching
Great video. I love the Howa machine products. What brand bore sight do you use? thanks

"I love bolt action guns"- broke left handed shooter
You and me both what's a poor man to do.😢
Broke! what's that got to do with anything.. save up for a Savage maybe!
@bradd8383 Well darn left handed guns are more expensive is all. And the selection is less diverse as well.
I think as much as a nice lefty bolt gun would be, I'll probably save up for that Stag AR.
A guy can dream, though! A nice 270 would be so nice.
@@scottmcley5111rotate the rifle in your right hand to your left and cycle the bolt with your left hand. Been shooting bolt actions for 45 years and never bought a lefty bolt action 😎
I think those are 1/10" twist . That will really shine with some lighter boolots. What do you think of that arken optic ?? 👍👍
Love arken
What is your philosophy about break in procedures, believe or not? I think our guns like a little fouling.
Old Fudd lore for the most part. Not necessary in most rifles
When doing your initial sighting in, what's the distance between the dots on the paper plate. I've seen you use this method of sighting in but I don't recall how you detirmine the spacing.
Roughly 2 inches
Great video! Where can I buy this rifle? Thx
Tolivers
I know it is a pain, you should really follow break in procedures, it actually does help accuracy and your gun barrel will last longer.
I disagree. Many of my expert competition friends disagree too.
I wonder if it would like a different ammo better? And I may have to look into these Arken scopes.
Stay tuned. Testing more soon
