Love that I can relate on the visual clutter! The Minimal mom mentions the “silent to do list”, where everything in our homes is sending some sort of message to us. It’s so nice to not have so many messages so we can clear the mental space for our children and husbands and calm ❤️
I loveeee your viewpoint on minimalism and stuff in general. I also love that you still do UA-cam and are able to encourage and help other people who are also going on this journey without having all the other types of social media as a distraction. I have deleted all of my social media aside from UA-cam and it has been life changing in so many ways- comparison, how I chose to raise my daughter, my marriage, etc. I wish more people were willing to give it a try, the world would be such a better place!!
Aww thank you so much!! Totally agree with everything you said! And yes, deleting social media was the best thing I ever did! Glad its been life changing for you too! People definitely need to try it, it would change the world for the better for sure!
I would love a video on the benefits you see in minimalism for yourself and children. Do any of your children want to collect more things? I'm heading towards getting minimal, but no where near y'all level yet.
Great idea! My children haven't reached that point yet, but also I haven't encouraged them to either. I have heard of a great idea where kids have collection jars and its limited to that. So I've kept that in mind just in case!
I was hoping you would go on the holiday rant! It’s nice to hear that there are others out there who really want to look at the holidays that we celebrate and focus on what the Lord has done for us and his sacrifice regarding Easter. My husband and I have had the same conversations and we find ourselves pulling away from what most of the world has done in celebrating. I really find it inspiring that you’ve chosen to get rid of your iPhone and go down to a much more simple phone, I’m still working on that. As for social media, you inspired me to get rid of a lot of my social media accounts and I have found that I am much more mentally decluttered now. Still working on some of those other things because UA-cam is my favorite. Praying for you and your family and that you would find the right place to settle after your military separation.
It's refreshing to also read that we share very similar convictions!! I'm hoping to share more about why I switched over to a "dumb" phone soon! It has been a long time coming! And thank you so much for your prayers!!
I thought I was minimal! But seeing how minimal you are, I have a long way to go. It’s a process and I’m enjoying the journey. We don’t celebrate any of the pagan Gregorian calendar holidays but we DO all of the biblical feasts in Leviticus 23. It’s so freeing to follow the whole Word.
I am so shocked you were able to get rid of so much. I am going to start going through my house again. I just went through the whole house getting rid of stuff...but if you can find more, I can TOTALLY find more. 🤣🤣
Another inspiring video! Looking forward to your video about the flip phone!! Something I’ve considered and would love to hear about why you chose to go for it and how it’s been going?
This is a weird question, but I was curious on your thoughts! How do you decide between just donating something vs trying to sell it? I have a huge pile full of clothing and items I’m like “oh I could sell this on poshmark or whatever” but then I never get around to it and the pile grows and grows. I guess as a single income family where I’m the one who stays home with out baby, it is hard to just get rid of things when I think maybe I could make something off of it. I don’t know if that makes sense at all haha. But I just struggle with that when it comes to decluttering!
I used to try and sell anything that had some sort of value and did make quite a bit of money, but currently I'm not in a season of doing that since it requires alot of work and effort to mail/meet people to sell items. But if you have the time it definately pays off!
Thank you for sharing your convictions about those holidays! I agree with you. I’m curious if you decorate for Christmas and how you store those decorations? Love how minimal you keep everything!
We do decorate for Christmas but we keep it VERY minimal, especially with three littles. I keep all my holiday decor in one small tub in our garage, and I really hardly ever buy new decor at Christmas, I just keep reusing the same stuff each year, which has helped it remain one bin.
Oh my goodness I have been wanting to go to a flip phone or literally a house phone for so long since Lisa from farmhouse on boone talked about it, but my husband won't let me!! I think it would be so life changing!
Hey, Wondering what latches you are using on these cupboards? I have tried the one on the outside and my toddlers just rip them open 😂 Thank you in advance. Hopefully you see this message 😊
Néw sub omg I am tryi g slowly but surely to get rid of things thanks for sharing. I was army thanks for his service and yours too wives play a major part with soldiers and holding the family down. God bless sis
Hi Elli, your channel was recommended by Hilary from Old world home. I really enjoyed this video. I too am currently working on decluttering. I am also working on being more intentional on what I buy. Sometimes it can be hard as I love home decor, but will say I have scaled back significantly and have gotten better in that sense. As I declutter it puts it more in perspective to see all that I've consumed. I do love home decor. I enjoy making my livingspace pretty and cozy. I am learning how to make that work in a intentional and simple way. I hope when the Lord grants me the gift of motherhood it's something I can instill in child(ren) too. I can only imagine what it's like to be a military family and having to move more often, which I can see why you prefer to have a more minimal approach. Having less to pack makes less stressful. Simplicity is truly the best. I too do not celebrate halloween. Thank you for highlighting the importance of these things ♡
Yes, to everything you said about Easter! We only did an Easter egg hunt like 2xs when our kids were little. We don't do Christmas, or Halloween. We are very minimal with our holidays. Lol again, we have a lot of common beliefs, and that is why I love being here. 🤗 Thank you for sharing your beliefs!! 🤍🤍
I enjoy your declutters so much. Hope you enjoy Amusing Ourselves to Death. It's a great read. I got it on an inter- library loan a few years ago. I'm glad to know it wasn't just my boys, that thought toy dinosaurs made good weapons in the toddler years. This too will pass. On Christmas - One thing I added in last year is a set of Jesse Tree Ornaments from Amazon. They are wooden discs with a symbol & a Bible verse for 24 days. It follows the coming of the Messiah through the Old Testament. You can hang them on your Christmas Tree, or on a string across a wall. What we did we the Santa issue, was to major on the birth of Christ, and then tell about the true story of Saint Nicholas- a Pastor who loved Jesus. When we were shopping & saw a store Santa, we would say that he's playing dress ups as Saint Nicholas, and if they wanted to say Hello, or play along, it was ok. Sometimes they received the free store gift, that all the other children got, but they knew that the presents at home were from Mummy & Daddy. There is a really good Christian children's book about St Nicholas.
Hi there! I have been a fan of your channel for some time now, and I am so glad that you are back to sharing videos again! Your videos have definitely encouraged me in the realms of motherhood and minimalism, so thank you! I can actually use a diaper bag at the moment, so the timing of your giveaway is perfect. Thanks, and I will be looking forward to your Vlogmas videos! @jenniferahernart
Congratulations! You are the winner of the Diaper Bag! If you could go and message @miss_fong_official on Instagram and tell them you won the giveaway, they will know who you are and collect your info to send you the bag!
This might be the most motivating video for minimalism that I’ve seen on UA-cam. I come back to it for inspiration! 🤍 Thank you for the encouragement!
Aww thank you so much!!

It really is!

I think we purchased them from either Walmart or Home Depot in the baby proof department
