I was so impressed with your decluttering. I am not a minimalist, but trying to declutter my home. Sometimes I get overwhelmed that there is so much decluttering to do. Today, I will try this method and see if I can fill a box or two. Thank you for the encouragent.

Love your style and simplicity! One quick thing, you should maybe consider relocating that cell battery in your bedroom drawer, as kiddos like to put everything in their mouths right, and those can do some harm I believe!

I have 2 questions! ❤️ 1.) where did you buy your bowls/plates? 2.) how on earth do you deal with criticism from people/family/friends who make comments about your minimalistic lifestyle? I’m on the same boat as you with minimalism and my home but I’ve heard all of the comments, even some from my own family that “it looks like an office” “it doesn’t look like kids live here” “I feel like I have to be so tidy & robotic because it’s so clean in here” yes I’ve heard all of these. 🙃 It’s frustrating as a people pleaser because I accumulate things to just make my house “feel more homey” but I thoroughly enjoy simplicity. How do you handle that or how would you?
I get my bowls/plates from Amazon! They are the Corelle dishes in white! I love them because they are kid proof and are so light and simple! So dealing with the criticism is definitely a struggle sometimes! So I totally feel you and where you’re coming from! I truly used to fall into that same trap of trying to make it homey to make people happy. But I realized I became way more overwhelmed and stressed as a mom and homekeeper when I had a ton more to manage and clean/pick up. So I definitely have made myself reach a point where I try to let it roll off my back and realize that it’s their journey if they feel that way about my home and it truly doesn’t matter because it’s my mental health that does matter. And as a mama, I am the main one who directs the atmosphere of my home and my kids feel/see that everyday. And being a minimalist mama makes me a happy cheerful mama. So that is my main drive for when I hear comments. I’ve gotten to the point where I just smile and shift the conversation or laugh 😂 I hope that helps! Because I’ve been there! Keep doing your minimalist mama thing girl! You are the gatekeeper of your home☺️
Your minimalist way of living was interesting to watch. My question is that I’m wondering if you have any hobbies that you do? Or does your husband have any hobbies? I love to watercolor and have supplies for that. I didn’t see that you have anything. What do you do for you to enjoy your spare time? I saw how empty your children’s rooms are. I can’t help but think the one thing missing is a picture of the Savior on the wall. What a wonderful comfort for them to fall asleep to and to remind them to say their prayers. 💗

Going back and catching up on videos. I love your home, and how clean and minimal it is. I want this lifestyle so bad, clutter causes me so much stress. But my family is not on board. 🙈🙈🙈 Trying to convince them. Lol
Thank you! It is a journey and has been a journey to get to this point! Just start decluttering your spaces in the home and places that are the most cluttered. Slowly they will get on board! My husband used to not care if the counter top was cluttered, now if it gets cluttered or family visits and piles all their stuff on the counter he notices how overwhelming it feels.

I do love to read, and cook/bake! So those things I typically do in my spare time! And that is a great idea of the picture of the Savior!

Thank you! Because we painted it all white when we moved in and the requirements to move out are to paint it back to the original color👍🏼
