I can provide you an extended history lesson later if you'd like. I mean, there's more Japanese Americans than Native Hawaiian's in Hawai'i. More native Hawaiian's have been priced out of their own island and live in the main land but that's some extra sauce for you. Out of all US States, people who grew up in Hawaii tend to know more Japanese words, phrases or tidbits due to history and the cultural influence. Similar to Florida, Texas or CA and Spanish but not parallel to this.

@@alpha5697 to this day I still think he went that route because he could easily make a simple functioning boat but that wouldn't be as cool for content. There is no way Michael actually thought that puny engine would be enough to make so much weight reliably move across water (and faster than simply rowing would), he should have more engineering knowledge than that.

I'm a senior year engineering student and being Michael is basically my dream. Funny thing is that he's not even an engineer. On Trash Taste podcast, both Conner and Garnt have engineering degrees and they were dumbfounded to find out he didn't and yet he does more engineering than either of them.
