Using Empire Pro 12s since mid 2020 and the shifting performance is superb. Smooth as Dura Ace, precise shifting on both front and rear. No shifting issues on either set use of a barrel adjuster inline on front mech made all the difference to get it dialed in. Great set for N+1 and nice review thank you, take some time to play with the trim and dial it in, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Awesome review Charles! There is a reason why so many bikes uses Shimano. Their groupset are extremely reliable. People underestimate it but the tiagra (even Sora) groupset is very good. People think that lower tier groupset from shimano aren't great but that's only because most user of these groupset don't take proper care of their bike. Sram is nowhere near the quality of shimano in my opinion. The double tap is a flawed concept because it requires extremely precise adjustment to work. I've got the updated 2 x 11 speed Sensah shifters operating Sram Rival front and rear derailleurs, best shifting of all my bikes. At the moment using them with Tekro caliper but bought some last generation Sram Red calipers..... My question is, is the pull ratio of the Sensah shifters designed for Sram brakes? You are using with Shimano.
@@CharlesOuimet just other channels like GCN say Sram and Shimano brakes have different pull ratios and not cross compatible very well, I'm wondering which the Sensah was designed to work with.
@@CharlesOuimet I've built my bike with Sram Rival brakes, I've found out the pull ratio of the Sram brakes are still like the older style Shimano, they work great. I don't have another 11 speed to compare the shifting to but I have 10 speed Ultegra and Dura Ace on my bikes, the Sensah shifters with the Sram Rival front and rear derailleurs is slicker than my other bikes. Only thing is, it takes a few minutes to remember that I have to shift differently as I'm used to Shimano. I wonder if the 12 speed is all sorted yet? Some people have not had a problem (China Cycling) other guy (Trybo) says that the 12 speed cassettes supplied by Ztto, the spacing is wrong on the lower end of the cassette and he can't get perfect shifting? Anyone here who has tried this comming from older shimano 105 groupsets? I have the 105 sti 5600 shifters, and they aren't really that good, are these an actual upgrade or are they the same or worse?
The FD is really skrood. Something to be simple was made wrong somehow. I think it is the cage shape. When I paired it with a Force 22 FD, it shifted like a dream. My suggestion is to use replace the FD to even a Rival 10s. This group is good for being used on a commuter, trainer only, or just gravel because it is not as painful to your heart and wallet when you crash it to the side or let it lie on the gravel ground when you are taking a break.
if shimano, shram, campagnolo and other big names are no longer producing mechanical group sets to obviously up their profits with electronic group sets, then it's time for costumers to shift to these alternatives ..
It's Fresh air to breathe to have cheap groupsets around away from that Overly high-priced groupset. Empire pro-"Ver. 3" the best cheap good level groupset.
salut, je viens de voir ta vidéo et je viens également de m abonner a ta chaine youtube, pourrais tu nous mettre le lien ou tu as achete le Sensah Empire groupset merci.
I don't agree with your recommendation that noobs should avoid because what better way is there for someone to learn how to wrench bikes than with cheaper priced components. There are plenty of videos posted now that you can watch if you get into trouble. There is no reason to ask a bike shop to build simple groups like these unless you are just plain damn lazy.
These type of carbon shifters and brake levers are very dangerous and should come with hazard warning. As the aluminium eats away at the carbon. The rider is breathing in microdeposits of dangerous carbon fibre particles. Stay away from carbon fibre for health & safety reasons
@@CharlesOuimet I saw video where it happened to rider he had brakes and handlebars made of carbon but slowly the carbon was being chipped away when pressing the brake lever. Maybe carbon will become the new type of asbestos in few years time...
Sorry, I wouldn't recommend it yet, give them 3 or 4 years more ! Furthermore, do you plan to test the brakes from them too (PS: I know you are snowed in - me too, I live on the North shore) ? A groupset is not only derailleurs ...
Agreed it needs more work for riding this on your 'main' bike, as mentioned, I think it's a great option for project build, commuter or a second bike. For the braking, not much I could test indoor during winter ahah. But it's a lever that pulls a cable, pretty much the same as any other shifter.
What do you think?
@@mickchaganis6607 Thanks for sharing! I don't have an answer for you sorry!
@@CharlesOuimet just nice to know stuff isn't it 😁
Building up my allez sprint so I think i'll will get this to retro fit my old frame into a touring/gravel bike
great idea!

Thanks man, not easy to grow. I've been only doing it for 8 months. But hopefully it will keep growing :)
Nice video, greetings from Quebec!
Thanks for watching!
How long does delivery take? I'll buy it if I don't have to wait months.
A long time, 6-8 weeks
@@CharlesOuimet that's what I thought. Should have bought in January Just for a commuter bike now the snow has melted. Thanks for replying.
Which cassete and Chain did you use? Bought the Set with Cassette and Chain and im Not able to adjust exactly...
Shimano casette, KMC chain
I'm waiting for the Empire pro groupset to be delivered. Any updates?
havent ridden it a lot, but it still works great!!
Whats the compatability like? I have a Shimano XT groupset I want to put road shifters in to make a Monster cross
good question, no idea!!
Au top, merci pour les infos !
De rien 😁
Nice review bro
Thank you man!!
Hi! What is the difference among Empire, Empire PRO and Team PRO?
I don't know unfortunately!
@@CharlesOuimet thanks
Hi, any follow up on the groupset? Thank u
no other video unfortunately, but it's great!
Wait, so i can buy a tiagra or 105 Front derailleur, even if the sensan is 2x11 and not 2x10 like the 105 and tiagra?
Yes because the front derailleur is 2x just like the Sensah FD!
Do it's possible I just only replace the STI? to make the shifting better or need to change also the derailleur
hum good quesiton!
So how is it. It's only derailleur need to be changed or also STI?
Thank you for your wonderful commentary😊😊
My pleasure! Any email I can reach someone at Sensah?

Who came up with "racefluencer" ?? 😆😆 Love it
Ahahahah it turned out as a joke with my buddies, and I fully took appropriation of the term hehe
i dont know where are you from, but here in Uruguay 105 it's a f...... problem, that level and better are extremely expensives, and the resell value kills you at the week, just to tell you i've got a trinx tornado 2.0 of carbon fiber with ultegra and every chain almost cost the entire sensah empire groupset, it's insane...
you've got to see the use that you're going to give it, i just sell all the groupset, put a sensah empire of entire carbon and could'n be more happy, great response at the training, a little weight lose, only the front derailleur is the weakest point and haven't give problems at all...
it's all a matter of tastes, obviously you colud have something a looooot better, go with duraace, but dont you say nothing about prices, i take a risk with it and luckily it give me only smiles
Exactly!!! 🚀
im using this sensah empire groupset , and i had a same problem with fd.. does the solution to buy a shimano tiagra fd?
Exactly!
@@CharlesOuimet alright thanks.. i will find new fd for my sensah empire 🙏🏻✌🏻
Using sensah reflex group set and yes it is true theres a problem on fd and left shifter.
exactly!
Hi, this Sensah 2x11 levers works on a Sram Apex 2x11? Thanks!
should works yes! but not 100% sure
Which cables and housings did you use?
generic Jagwire!
@@CharlesOuimet Thanks Charles! I'm pulling the plug on the Empire!!
Can you pair a Sensah SRX Pro groupset with a Shimano 11 speed cassette?
yes you can!
well the srx 11 speed, not 12
Thank you
So to confirm the SRX Pro 11 will not work on a Shimano cassette but the SRX 11 will. I assume they are two different models?
Anyone here who has tried this comming from older shimano 105 groupsets?
I have the 105 sti 5600 shifters, and they aren't really that good, are these an actual upgrade or are they the same or worse?
I think they are similar to 105! Not as good as Ultegra tho. Go with shimano Ultegra if you want a real upgrade
candles in the background is an overkill:)
Ahaha it's to set the MOOOOOD
This would be perfect for a cheap permanent indoor/zwift bike and keep the expensive stuff for the club rides and races.
Absolutely!
Exactly what I intend on getting it for!
That’s exactly why I’m looking at this
Can you give me link where to buy those?
aliexpress
4:12 - dat finger action. Gab is a lucky woman. ;)
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Anyway bike shops are super low on groupset stocks. Even some brand aren't able to ship their bikes because of a lack of Shimano/Sram parts.
Yes I know! The industry is messed up right now!
Nice thanks!
I'm still running the 12 speed as a 1x
nice!!
any new updates on this groupset yet ? 😅
sorry no haven't ridden enough :/
Same problem here with the front shifter...
yeah..
45 jours de shipping ! Meme avec la quarantaine de 14 jours allez et au retour Moins long allez en Chine les chercher !

Ahah absolument :p
is the sensah shifter compatible with shimano 105 r7000 rd and fd?
yes they are! the indexing should be the same
@@CharlesOuimet but have you tried it? thanks for replying!
@@francisreyes6070 I haven't, sorry!
Funny thing is I ended up ordering a set because everything was closed or short on supplies during covid...
Ahah yes!
I think the shifter is designed for 3x system rather than a 2x, just my opinion.
it's design more like a 2.5 so when you can prevent chain rub if at the lower end of the casette or higher end
@@CharlesOuimet Hence why I see the old version of sensah STi left shifter breaks maybe because of that or somethin.
Hey. Does it work with a disc brake??
Yes you could with mechanical disc brakes like TRP
@@CharlesOuimet thx 😊
interesting! we would need a follow up when you ride outside
Yes exactly, sometime this summer 😅
Yes, more info on the braking would be great. Hard to tell on trainer.
nice nice, this is what we want... hope for your review soon... 2000km haha
Ahah yes :)
Wait a minute. Was that with Shimano cassette and crankset?
So what?
Yes. It's works seamlessly with regular shimano cassette & crankset.
@@CharlesOuimet just wasn’t obvious that’s all
How is the groupset now?
I love it! for the price it's great
if shimano, shram, campagnolo and other big names are no longer producing mechanical group sets to obviously up their profits with electronic group sets, then it's time for costumers to shift to these alternatives ..
agreed!!
More competition, better availability, lower prices. Only benefits for us.
agreed!!!
It's Fresh air to breathe to have cheap groupsets around away from that Overly high-priced groupset. Empire pro-"Ver. 3" the best cheap good level groupset.
Hi, how is this empire pro compared to shimano 105/ultegra?
exactly!!

update on this?
still works well!
I don't agree with your recommendation that noobs should avoid because what better way is there for someone to learn how to wrench bikes than with cheaper priced components. There are plenty of videos posted now that you can watch if you get into trouble. There is no reason to ask a bike shop to build simple groups like these unless you are just plain damn lazy.
sure!
These type of carbon shifters and brake levers are very dangerous and should come with hazard warning. As the aluminium eats away at the carbon. The rider is breathing in microdeposits of dangerous carbon fibre particles. Stay away from carbon fibre for health & safety reasons
Never heard that before
@@CharlesOuimet I saw video where it happened to rider he had brakes and handlebars made of carbon but slowly the carbon was being chipped away when pressing the brake lever.
I'd say it's more the brakes that does the difference than the levers
you forgot ROTOR!!!!!!!
Mehhh ahah
