Welcome back! About the mealies, sometimes certain plants get root mealies which can then spread upwards. That happened to my Hoya linearis and that might be why they're so persistent despite not being able to see them. A good alcohol water soak usually deters them for a while!
Thanks for the tip! I’m definitely going to try this, but remove all the soil and just have it bare rooted soaking for a little to see if I can get them gone for good! :)
You're so easygoing anything you put out is appreciated. As you get new plants and new furniture pieces, show us how you style them.
Thank you for the kind words! 😊 Will definitely give updates on furniture and new plants in the future :)
Happy 2024!!!! The content that we need!!!
Yay! So happy you posted again! 😍🥰 I’m glad you’re feeling better, definitely prioritize health over everything else. 💞💞💞
Glad to see you back!
I missed your videos! Glad to see you're alive and well :)
So glad you’re back and feeling better!
Very glad to be back and NOT sick 😁
Merch idea: hats! I could see you designing something cool, love your style so much!💞🥰.
Also, would love it if you could do a ‘clothing shop with me vlog’ or ‘come with me to a nursery’ 😍
Hats would be so fun! Appreciate the ideas 😁
An organic option for systemic is SNS-209. It takes a couple of waterings to work but I’ve been pest free for a year now.
Definitely will look into this! Thank you so much :)
Your blue star Fern is gorgeous. I have one also and was struggling until I saw one UA-camr say that she lets it sit in a saucer of water. So I tried it and it WORKS! 🎉
That’s what I’ve done with my Calatheas in the past and they seemed to enjoy it! Didn’t even think twice to try it with my fern!!
Physical removal, which is kind of tedious or spraying them down with rubbing alcohol and putting diet earth on the top of the soil so when they fall into the pot, they get cut up by the diatomaceous earth
Yay ur back! I got covid day after Xmas than that turned into bronchitis so I feel you! 😂🤣🥴 love your videos. ❤️
We lived the same lives 🤣 Hope youre doing better, and thank you so much!
@@jhetty_ yes I feel alive again 😂👏🏼
@@jhetty_also if you feel like you have a bad outbreak of something u can’t seem to get rid of changing the soil completely giving the roots a good wash and look over helped me. Just a thought! ❤
Interesting with the mimosa pudica given we can go months with no rain in Australia and they are just out there growing huge in full sun. They are not native here though, we do have the native Neptunia Monosperma. The one here that is a weed is the mimosa pigra
That’s so fascinating! I thought they were native there, but just looked it up and saw they are native in South America! Looks like I got a little more research to do 😁
Bonide works for thrips but not spider mites. Sorry. 😞 Alcohol an water mix is good for mealies. Even alcohol an Q- tips takes time but it works. Good luck😊
Might explain why I feel like it’s doing nothing 🤣 thinking water and alcohol is going to be the next thing I try! Appreciate the tip! 😁
