This is my favorite nocturne to be completely honest. So much emotion.
@Sidemony Don't have any favorites! Just immerse your self in the music and be enhanced...
Mine is op48 1
Em be like that sometimes.
My favourite too!!
@Sidemony I cant choose either. I fall in love with almost every chopin piece lmaooo
The composure. He's so nervous. You can literally see his fingers trembling when they aren't acting. But the moment they are commanded......they are right where they should be how they should be. Combating fear comes in weird ways. But such is life. I've been there....you're already playing by the time the thoughts hit you. You're already in it. Best way out......a good performance no matter how much you want to run
Tempo was a little uneven at the beginning
strenght is not given to anyone , it must be difficult to play piano before hundreds of people !
@@TrollMeister_ It's interpretation, let him be. I play it dead straight sometimes and it doesn't sound good either 😂
And even so he played the best versión I have heard of this piece
@@TrollMeister_I disagree, he did it on purpose because is part of the musicality to avoid mechanical music without soul.
One can feel Chopin's love and sadness. This kid captures it all. Bravo.
Totally agree. Of all his repertoire one can imagine this was Chopin alone with his thoughts and playing for himself.
My absolute favorite is Chopin! Sad, full of dreams, like the tide of the sea... Chopin is a genius of geniuses and this boy played superbly! although you can see how nervous he was at the beginning. Bravo!! 🎉
Beautiful, exquisite performance. Perfection of dynamics, tone, rubato, feeling, all. Thank you so much, Takagi Ryoma. (deep bow of admiration to you)
A flawless performance with great subtlety in tempo and shading of dynamics - not rushed or forced at all. The chromatic runs and tumbling diminished minor broken chords from bars 30-37 are exquisitely played.
So many people play this thing mechanistically. This kid is great. I would like to find him on Beethoven's pieces, which no one seems to get right. I think this kid would pull it off. And a touch of ad-lib, in the retzonado. Great work kid.
Beethoven’s pieces are a lot more straightforward than Chopin’s pieces which in my opinion suits him the most. The sensitivity of his touch & his ability to bring out the intense emotions with his clever use of contrasting dynamics, together with rubato, is impeccable. It will be a waste of his talent to play Beethoven’s pieces. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that Beethoven’s pieces are in anyway inferior to that of Chopin. In fact, some of Beethoven’s works can be technically more demanding than Chopin’s works.
Thank you Chopin for bringing a young talented man from Japan to the other side of the world with the message of love. Your life was not always easy and I hope you rest in peace. And thank you AR for uploading.

This is such a strange thread.
I like the tempo you play it in dude, well done, emotive though not nervous nor quickly played, nice.
Hi David. You're everywhere when it sounds good music... I really love this nocturne but some parts are impossible for me...
+321bigbang I love good music ;) nothing is impossible, if he did it, you also can do it
321bigbang. Did you learn it after 2 years? I’m just curious as I’m also a piano player
@@Chazza_1201 Been trying two years. No luck, Tough piece to play
@@ThiefOfNavarre lol I learned the whole piece in a month
Soooo beautifully played 🎶🔥🎹
This is beautifully performed. I'm working on this now and you are my inspiration...
Sameee

My FAVORITE Nocturne by my FAVORITE composer/pianist/musician ever!!!!🖤🎹🖤🎹
"Chopin is the greatest of all,” Debussy once said. “For with the piano alone he discovered everything." ~Claude Debussy
This tune was BURNED into my memory as a young child from watching The Secret Garden film. As a boy it was so stressful watching that film but also so peaceful at the same time. An element of sorrow, but the story doesnt end that way......Very pleasant listening, it is a direct thread of nostalgia for me
Same. I was probably only five or six when I first saw the movie but I remember the melody was so haunting. It was scary to me for some reason but I also found it to be beautiful. This piece gave me a love for classical music at a young age.
very beautiful hands and good skill: )
Why I love the piano.. beautifully played 💗
Great musical performances are not about perfection. Horowitz, the greatest of the 20th Century, hardly ever played anything perfectly, and Rubinstein refused to do multiple takes and edit his recordings--that isn't the way music is, he said. Music that is alive is not perfect.
HOWEVER, this sounded perfectly wonderful to me! There certainly weren't any errors. Great job, Takagi!
So sensitively played, beautiful, well done!
I love his stage presence and of course his playing is remarkable. I like the way he takes his time before beginning....the cadenza is a bit rushed IMO, but a minor thing. Bravo!!!
This is going to be my NEW favourite Norturne! PERFECT! FLAWLESS!
Beautiful, assertive, reflective and so engaging.

Good morning so far!!
Played so expressively!!
I have no favourites when it comes to Chopin they are all my favourites. During this past year of lockdown I have learned many of his pieces also I have rediscovered the joy of Mendelssohn`s songs without words
reading your post I have deja vu of my Pandemic discoveries.
Mendelssohn..._sigh_ ...
Mendelssohn's Venetian Boat piece really reminds me of this nocturne
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍 ENCORE!
Looking forward to hearing more of your performance, especially Chopin’s Nocturne in B flat minor, Op 9, No. 1, Fantaisie Impromptu Op 66 etc!
I’ve yet to find one with the right amount of rubato at the right tempo! I’m confident that you will give a flawless & perfect rendition!
So beautiful...had me in tears.
me too ! ! !
The best nocturn off all times, written by chopin, there are a lot of opinions or likes, but for me this peace of sound is the most bautiful, wonderful and everything
This gives me chills
Wow. Beautifully played
Well done ! Brilliant pianist
Exquisite playing feeling and technique..... Bravo!!!!
Excellent version, so authentic
Esta es la mejor interpretación del Nocturno 19 que he escuchado
I think we can all forget about our metronomes now
Ah, a Voyager fan?
I do love every music genre.
But classical music has always been & will always be the one that makes me travel my mind and heart so deeply
Beautifully played. I love your interpretation.
Wonderfully expressed feeling here. Bravo!
Thank you its beautiful
Fantastic performance. Lots to be inspired about
Awesome, emotive, Chopin was a genius.

+mason pang What are the odds. I'm impressed... numbnutz
oh you know, Fredic F**king Chopin..
It's the drunk piano player. You're so drunk, you couldn't hit nothin'.
I have two guns...
Just beautiful!
Love it!
Hello Rose
beautifully played
Sounds beautiful
Hi
Yes I found it. I first heard this song from The Secret Garden 1987 film.
The opening theme for the movie.
I remember this in the move "Tombstone". Doc Holiday plays it on a saloon piano. The real Doc Holiday had been an accomplished pianist in his youth.
'...you know ,Frédéric fuckin' Chopin !' :))
Excellent throughout. Kudos.
0:29 start
bravissimo
Це прекрасно, дуже чуттєво!
This ia a love song. The hands almost touch them.
I’d love to hear him perform it again 12 years later. Not that it wasn’t an excellent performance. Just curious about what he might do differently.
Excellent performance!
“Well this is a nocturne...of which?...You know....Frederic Fucking Chopin”
Somebody had to drop the Tombstone reference...well played
You’re so drunk you’re probably seeing double
"I have to guns, One for each of you."
A profound piece indeed
Chopin 사랑해... ㅠㅠ
This music is entertaining
Steven Zhang that’s basically the point of music
It is, my dude
Love his pace... Usually, this piece is being played faster.
Wonderful performance! Brought me to tears!
So very beautiful.. opens the heart to ones dreams..
This one speaks to me the most
Good job 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤❤
amazing! thank you!!
Heard this on Star Trek: Voyager and I was like oooo this is soothing
Yeah from Seven of Nine in the holosuit
Lautaro Rosas You thinking I didnt know that or...
Same here 👍🏼
Same here haha
I'm captivated!
So warming sound..👍
His fingers are shaking yet he plays so perfectly
They're not shaking, he just "seats" his hand into the keyboard at some points for a very light, tenuto-like emphasis. Very period-appropriate and shows very careful training, most people aren't aware of the technique or its interpretive applications anymore. Transformative presentation.
This is what I mean when I say I love music 🎶 😢
“Yes well, this happens to be a Nocturne. You know, Frederick Fucking Chopin.”
Thanks, lovely!
Fantastik!!
Bravoo
駅ピアノでこの曲を聴いて、トリルがいまいちだったので私も取り組んでみようと思いました。左手の大きな動きと右手を合わせるのが少し難しいです。
A good performance
Pas mal du tout !
This kid is really good
🌹💐💐💐💐💐💐
Bequtiful playing
Yay E minor yay
Fair enough lol.
Why it happens to be a nocturne, you know, Fredrick f’ing Chopin.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Tombstone brought me here.
Nocturne numéro 20
i got the Power. genius. so good
Lol Arthur Rubinstein was one of my teacher’s teacher so technically my teacher
Is this Nocturne very difficult? Considering that I have a piano as an additional subject)
Yes. It's definitely up there on the difficulty list. Prepare yourself for many hours of practice if you'd like to get it
@@coryscars7801 eh Ig it is
Yes.
its grade 9
Superbe ! Une belle technique et un jeu moins " culcul" que certains joueurs classiques
This is the Nocturne Doc Holliday plays in Tombstone, when one of the bad guys asks, "Is that Stephen Stinkin' Foster?!"
agreed forefire
Just think about it. Music is the only language everyone can understand.
Also body language
Эту музыку играет Док в фильме Тумбстоун.
Well Said.
ThiefOfNavarre you mean well played right?
I play this piece
