Absolutely exquisite - and Tai is so eloquent! This will serve as an inspiration to my Black girls in elementary school who play viola and cello. They both are the only Black girls playing those instruments in their whole school.
Hope this video can help inspire your girls! If only we could all play as well as Tai Murray. She's amazing. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Such perfect intonation, and beautiful interpretation.
Also, what microphone is the host using? It sounds fantastic.
A magnificent performance - second to none. Her sound is mesmerizing and her intonation is immaculate. Thank you!!!
She is amazing!! Thanks WGBHFor this kind of gifts to the world.
Best interpretation I've seen!!!!
wonderfully played - such a difficult piece!
Wow! Elegance for sure. Very accomplished. Very nice.
WGBH Music has passed 100,000+ views! Thanks for watching and big thanks to everyone who has subscribed!!
love her bowing.
I admire you Tai, your enthusiasm, your excitement, you are being pragmatic about what you do and you have an exquisite tone! I love listening to you over and over again...
A guy named Godric von Falkenrath on UA-cam, said she "plays like a promising first year student." I firmly
believe that Godric missed the mark by a thousand miles. If it only took one year to play like this, we would
all be learning how to play a violin. To hear one, who looks like myself, playing this extraordinary music
with such awesome talent is so inspiring. Heart intensity was coming from those strings - powerful!!!
I came here to remark on that same comment and other similar ones saying how she isn’t all that...how good does a black women have to be at what she does before getting her props? You can’t listen to this and say she didn’t body it. I’ve been playing violin for 20 years so I know what a “promising first year student” sounds like. Oh and im black too

Absolutely beautiful
This kind of music talks straight to the very core of our souls. Thanks God.
Amazing and beautiful. Inspiring. Thank you.
Fantástica Tai! Precisão, afinação, timbre divino e muita sensibilidade. Artista maravilhosa. Bravo!!!!!!
Amazing performance !!!
Glad you liked her performance! Thanks for the comment.
A great Ysaye sonata interpretation, this is a very nice bow using
Tai is very expressive and she speaks what she feels

Glad you enjoyed this, Goodarz! Thanks for leaving a comment.
Wow as always
❤
I really like her gentler interpretation of the beginning
es genial en todo ,sonido afinación exactitud.presencia escénica.lirica musical
Ysaye, the attempt at a reincarnation of Bach. the influence is so evident, in this sonata more than any other one. Although Ysaye is definitely more melancholic
Merci Tai !
So fluent....
Deus " de bom humor"
I am a violinist but never learned Ysaye. But I have a good ear. Where are the "out the tune" notes. Seriously, not those by a hair, but noticeable "out of tune." Come on.
What
She is out of tune is certains notes, come on people, listen
Rafael Rangel I do agree that her intonation is maybe a bit off but I really enjoy her interpretation of the piece
It may not be perfectly in tune, but it's definitely more in tune than out of tune. And her performance and interpretation is phenomenal.
Show it better.
Ps: she played amazing!!
By all means let’s see how yours is please upload it so we can all hear. I play the violin professionally as well and I Want to hear your perfect performance. I will be listening and I doubt it comes anywhere close to what She is doing. Once again I will be listening😉
