- A desperate Prince makes his way home after being invited to ascend the throne, but he must also contend with some rules and rivals or lose the throne.
The race for the kingship of Ibudo Town heats up. Ibudo is a literal goldmine, and whoever becomes its king is coming into unheard of wealth. However ,the princes are dropping dead like butterflies and the suspicion is that their death is not unconnected with the rites of passage to the throne .
Synopsis:
Folabi is received at the airport by his uncle, Sobowale, who had invited the former for the kingship race. Sobowale hints Folabi about the rewarding benefits of becoming the king of Ibudo. Aside the power and honour to be bestowed, Ibudo harbours gold and other mineral and natural resources. Folabi and seven other princes are eventually invited to the occult room for instructions and rules to guide them along the competitive race, and that whoever adheres to the rule to the end shall be crowned the king.
However, Folabi stumbles over all the rules , and in order to reclaim his lost chance, he is asked to make a sacrifice with a virgin. Sayo, a university student financially unstable in School and willing to do anything to make some money which she intends to settle her School fee with, falls into Folabi's trap. Despite the sacrifice, Folabi dies, leaving Adeoye, a village school teacher, as the surviving heir apparent.
Meanwhile, Adeoye is warned by Amodu, a religious loner, to steer clear of the ambition of kingship because it's a death trap. Truly, Adeoye receives some life #christianmovies

Right from the beginning, I perceived that Sayo will not end well. She was impatient, rude, very toxic in the way she talked to her mother. I just knew she would do something desperate that will not augur well for her. Unfortunately, she caused great sorrow for her Mom. May our children love and obey us, and take to our training in the way of the Lord 🙏
I pray for more of God's grace for all who were involved in this movie. May we all do the Lord Jesus Christ proud at the end of our days 🙏❤️❤️❤️

Okay okay okay. This is probably the first Christian production other than Mount Zion productions that I love. The direction, the acting the production, the story line and possibly more than I remember. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Let’s start with the cast - almost everyone of them hit the spot. Huge thumbs up Mr Kayode Babalola himself. Truth be told I didn’t even know your real name until this second. I’ve just loved your talent. Every role you have played with MZFM and now this one has just been on point. I really enjoy watching you. Other actors that hit the spot are the actors they played Adeoye and the king.
Next the story line. I have both praise and criticism for the story line. On the praise side, it was well thought out, well written, very easy to relate to and much more. The 2 negative points are firstly, the film makes it seem like Adeoye actually went through the rituals of kingship. These are often occultic and are outside the will of God. Secondly, when he visited his pastor, the takeaway from that scene was the pastor telling him to go ahead because if he becomes king it’ll be good for the church. Is that a good enough reason to take any decision let alone a life threatening one? I believe that we should only do things because God said so. This is hard, I agree but right.
All in all, I’m glad I watched it. I don’t usually watch Christian movies that’s not produced by MZFM. I’m glad I made an exception for this. Great job and may God bless your ministry in Jesus name.
The aspect of the ritual rites got me confused as well. It portrayed that our steadfastness in Christ can take us to a position controlled by the occultic.
It seem confusing in that area.
But the message was gotten that we should always live by God's precepts without digressing.

All glory to God. What a message! The sound track is 100%. It hammers the message even more than the blessed drama (my opinion). Actually, the drama is so inspiring and it's meant for those who are truly on a mission to fulfill their God's given destiny on earth. The composer deserves an applause.

This movie is very powerful. As for me the lessons I learnt were that, as a Christian, you should only depend on God and no one else. Man will deceive you, but God is always faithful. Also as a child of God you need to depend on God to provide all your needs. One hard lesson, I learnt from the life of Sayo is that, God has a substitute. It doesn't matter who you are if God has a blessing instore for you and you misbehave, another person also trusting God will receive your blessings. Chai this movie is more than powerful.
