This was the best tasing chicken I have had in a while. The orange zest sure uplifts the recipe.

great teacher, great cook! Why do you put salt to your pan before adding the stalks or onions?

No reason at all. You can add salt whichever time you remember to; its just salt ☺️

nice. what if you are using kienyeji chicken which has to be boiled first due to the toughness, will the recipe still work, where you boil ur chicken and then do the marination process?

Do not, i repeat *DO NOT* use kuku kienyeji for this.
Let me repeat: *DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE KUKU KIENYEJI FOR THIS*
Kienyeji needs a different cooking technique that's very time-heavy. Kuku kienyeji should never be rushed and needs slow cooking, hours kwa moto. Period. This recipe cooks in 20 minutes, therefore making it unsuitable for cooking kuku kienyeji. Use strictly broiler. *Do not* force kuku kienyeji in a recipe that is not suitable for it. Don't force it.

    Can one use white sugar?

Needs to be brown sugar/honey to get that stickiness

Does it make a difference if the ginger is powder or in its raw form?

Not so much, but fresh ginger will overall taste better

Yes explanations are part and parcel of my videos, that way you get to learn the how's and why's of cooking.
I am a talkative person and if that bothers you, you have two options:
      1. Read the recipe as opposed to watching, link on bio. Reading takes 3 minutes
      2. The most obvious solution: don't watch. No one forced you at gunpoint to be here, so if you don't like a host who talks, find those 10 second videos a d watch those. Seeing that you prefer creators who don't talk, then go and watch creators who don't talk. Imagine it is that straightforward. Don't hate-watch me - a host who talks - only so that you can complain in the comments. Align with and watch youtubers who do not talk seeing that is what you prefer.
