@@thewattlife I live in Toronto so you can get UK like weather one day, and a foot of snow the next. If you don't like the rain in winter, avoid Vancouver. :)
Feel your pain... I spent over 8hrs on Sunday (252km) to finish the Festive 500 and achieved my target of 10,000km for 2023. Really enjoy the vlogs... All the best for 2024!
Congrats on finishing it- I’m just not afraid to say that I can’t cycling like that in this weather!!!! It’s too much for me, which is weird because I’ve done some insane running races in horrible places!!! lol. Also congrats on the mileage for the year. 👏🏻
I have a couple of devises. I have a big Garmin 1040 Edge which is good for navigation because the screen is so large, but it is expensive. I also have the IGPSPort 300 which is great because its so compact and small. It does everything i need for some of my rides and is much smaller and costs a lot less.
Nice to see you outside. I live in Watford and managed to complete Rapha 500 km. Pls let us know if you rode winspace new bike for this ride ? If so, how is the ride quality
Ohhhh NO WAY!!! Not in this horrible weather. I’m planning a full first impressions ride soon, but on a nice day ☺️ cycled it around just to make sure it doesn’t fall to pieces and it was amazing
@joenaai3 Not my favourite thing in the world but luckily where I live and ride there’s literally zero hills. I will say, that the girls both had a lot of brake rub with grit in their pads so while I wasn’t stopping on a dime, I was also not grinding dirt onto my pads! If there had been some hills then discs would have been more comforting but didn’t need them on this ride
"Back to the turbo until spring" - That's how I feel seeing as I live in Canada. :)
Snowy Canada? Or wet miserable Canada? Because i think i could handle a snowy fat bike ride.... occasionally.... Rain- is a hard no

Really enjoy your outdoors videos. Hope to see more of them in 2024, alongside the indoor rides too! 💪 🚲
@psymanj73 I LOVE the outdoor stuff- just not in the winter. Have a whole load of things planned for 2024, so glad its gone down well
Nice to be outdoors but also a good advert for the benefits of indoor cycling - no punctures, no traffic, no mechanicals! But also no banter or cake.
I agree with this... except for the cake, i dont mind treating myself after a turbo session
Where’s a link to those white overshoes? 👀👀😂
All three of them have @velotoze www.velotoze.com/en-uk
@@thewattlife awesome thank you!!! Tho side note! You make me spend to much money 👀👀😂
I blame the girls- they look good in them!
Sounded like a long day. See you in a B cat event in Zwift. HNY!
Happy new year - back to racing tmrw! Hopefully catch you in a race soon
Can I ask which GPS are you guys using? 😉 I'm thinking about buying it for my next long rides, need advice :0

@@thewattlife 🤣🤣 . That makes sense. looking forward to see the first ride vlog :-)
How do you get on with carbon rim brakes in that weather? I’m in the same boat.

5:10 nice example of a disc brake lockout even without speed
Wet horrible conditions and frozen hands.... coffee and cake was needed
Tubeless, lots of sealant eliminates punctures
Ben was on tubeless and his puncture self sealed. Both mine and Chrissie's punctures were tiny little stones
Your 2024 goal could be to become a competitive Cat A rider. I think you'll hit that goal mid 2024.
First goal is to get a podium in a big race, but hopefully i get into Cat A wattage
No flats on Zwift. Just sayin :D
Oh trust me- this is exactly what I was thinking ALL DAY!!!!!! lol
Weather in England 🌧🌧🌧💩😡🤬
I know right- now the bike is cleaned and waxed I won’t be going out again in the rain for a while
@@thewattlife nightmare live in East Sussex 😡🌧
