Basically, my advice - give it 5-6 months and see if he's consistent since day one. If not - there's nothing good for you there and you're wasting your time for his entertainment.

Since a lot of what people (including many many woman) call effort on their own part, is the absolute bare minimum or even worse, nothing. For example, the type of women who just show up on dates expecting men to pay, "because he asked first" are a classic example. 1) Be real on the "whoever asked." Women typically dont do the asking. So its a roundabout way to avoid paying for your own expenses. And pretending to want traditional while not wanting to act traditional. The type of women who have the audacity to call anyone cheap and yet showed up to a date with the mindset a man should pay for their meal. 2) Gracing someone with your presence and looking kempt is worse effort. A man should be showing up looking kempt too. So when talking effort especially in todays dating market, its both men and women. What you personally might see as effort, isnt actually effort to everyone.
