Instead of wrapping it around the unicender would you be able to add a rope wrench into the system or something similar to add the additional friction and then use the device to control your descent?
It is recommended to descend only by wrapping the rope around the Unicender. For more details, please refer to Rock Exotica's Unicender instruction manual.
This system just seems like so much could go wrong if your not paying 100% attention to it at all times. Even with MRS, isn't it close enough to rub a moving rope on the gate of the carabiner? How does it perform with wet or sappy ropes?
when descending using MRS there’s too much friction between tree and rope to descend smoothly so i’ve been collapsing it with my hand and using my other to determine speed. safe?

First few times I used mine I was pinching the unicender with my hand to collapse the system. It was freakin me out how quick it'd drop me.

lmao you gotta have massive balls to use the unicender first starting out because the descent function goes from 0-100 way too fast
