You chose Tatooine because of how well known it is, why not also pursue writing well crafted stories about its inhabitants and aliens we all know well too? I don't think it's a scarcity of good writers, I think its project mismanagement and poor leadership.
I am going to say this in all seriousness. Swap out the Lego elements for realistic graphics and you have a true AAAA Star Wars game that we all deserve. But look at this moment 15:47, swap out the Lego characters and some Lego decorations for realistic objects and what do we get? I'm not saying the Lego game is bad, quite the opposite, it's such a good game and has great graphics and mechanics.
"oh but LEGO has simplier body designs!" That just makes Outlaws look even worse. They had more to work with and yet they managed to be less expressive than 7 bricks with a changing face
There are only a couple of Ubisoft games where you can kill most NPCs: Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon Wildlands. However, in these games, if you kill too many NPCs, you get respawned. It's surprising that you can kill more NPCs in a Lego game intended for kids than in a rated M game for adults, where NPC killing is restricted.
I think I can explain some reasons, correct me if I'm wrong Assassin's Creed: AFAIK the games happen in simulations, and killing NPCs cause desync Ghost Recon Wildlands: you're supposed to be good guys, so it would be immoral to kill innocent people.
1:24 "Mysterious Time Travelers prevent the murder of Scout Trooper 1828810 and redirect the Star Wars multiverse into something that isn't as shit as the sequels.
Edit: the creature in question is a Krayt Dragon and not a juvenile Sarlacc. It is an unkillable obstacle for a quest in which you need to obtain its eggs without dying. So are we to assume that Sarlacc is a juvenile? Sarlaccs, once planted, NEVER leave their pits. So, either that Sarlacc is a particularly giant juvenile or Disney is breaking canon to institute a "clever" way to make the player never leave the play area like in Subnautica.
The monster in 'Outlaws' is not a Sarlacc. It's a Crayt Dragon. I put these clips in the video because I find it funny that LEGO shows the character being eaten while 'Outlaws' has a wide shot where you don't see anything. The monster just runs Kay over.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming My mistake, thought it looked like one. Considering how lazy Disney tends to be, I was under the impression that they wanted to do an environmental bit and make a giant predator a reason not to leave the play area without understanding the creature. On a side note, "Krayt" Dragon's are a Sarlacc predator.
The first starwars outlaws clip is a questline thats why you cant kill him without progress & after the recent patch the game is 9/10 for me, im really enjoying the game . The abilities and skills make the game so fun .
Yeah. You can't even shoot neutral NPCs in the world outside of quests. I used this footage of me shooting Yorn because it's funny. The general point is still true, though. LEGO game lets you attack & kill neutral NPCs while Outlaws doesn't.
This is what happens when video games are made with a factory like mindset. Everything in this game is just industry standard game mechanics and ui plopped on top of a star wars skin. There is no heart anymore in AAA just dollars to be made.
I was going to not get the game on EPIC this week because I have a deep hatred for disney's starwars and the so called "skywalker" saga that for disgusting history erasure reasons includes Ray. But if the game is actually good, I'll just take it. It's not like I'm paying for it anyway. Also it's so charming how when you kill a lego character it bursts into pieces making rattling plastic noises.
Definitely get it! FREE is a good price 😆 This game is pretty fun during your first run. Just don't get out of your way to find every single collectible and unlock every character because it quickly becomes a chore
I was feeling nostalgic and thought I'd try playing the skywalker saga. Did not enjoy the experience at all. Went and played the complete saga on emulator and got what I was looking for. I'd recommend doing that if you're feeling like a lego game.
An open world Star Wars game should be one of the easiest bags in gaming yet for some fuckin reason Disney allowed the laziest -AAA- ,my bad AAAA to devolop the first open world Star Wars game. Ubisoft is the only company that can turn the epic into mediocrity.
And that's very unfortunate because 'Outlaws' had a huge potential. The world they created is actually beautiful and very detailed! It's just that everything else is mid. Boring story, shallow characters, vanilla combat, bad stealth with atrocious AI, lack of interactivity, very few gameplay options, shallow syndicate system, mediocre movement, no land vehicles apart from the one bike, no climbing & parkour mechanics, no interesting gadgets. It's just all so BASIC.
@ It’s genuinely a skill that they keep doing this. Like I’ve never seen a company be this consistently mediocre in my life. They pumped Valhalla with a shit tone of dlc yet they were all mediocre, even the one where you where your literally just fighting mythological monsters in a fantasy map! I’d say it’s worse than just being bad cause no one is gonna talk or remember anything meaningful about their games.
Morality, The risk with next gen, is if the graphics become too realist and too perfect, it becomes harder to animate, and the dev become lazy. They have to find the good balance. Maybe the level of games like GTA 5, RDR2, Days Gone, Death Stranding, is a good balance, because with pretty good graphism enough, to concentrate to the gameplay and animations.
Lego Star Wars looks like a videogame. Star Wars Outlaws looks like a highly curated virtual experience, if you can even call it that. Probably going to try Lego Star Wars now that genuinely looked like some wholesome fun.

Outlaw is more child friendly than Lego Outlaw. 😂
"oh but LEGO has simplier body designs!"
That just makes Outlaws look even worse.
You can kill people in Watch Dogs
I think I can explain some reasons, correct me if I'm wrong
Assassin's Creed: AFAIK the games happen in simulations, and killing NPCs cause desync
Ghost Recon Wildlands: you're supposed to be good guys, so it would be immoral to kill innocent people.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming Wait thats so true with no actual limit other then the cops
@@DoorP3 both reasons are correct
i was like: "nice video" then it ended and i was reminded of the most beautifull remix of all time
I don't know why but that Tusken massacre felt so chilling
They're like animals! And I slaughtered them like animals!
I kept getting more nervous when a new category would come up
There are 2 guarantees in life; death, and Lego games being 10x better than AAA slop
Ubisoft fell off.
1:24 "Mysterious Time Travelers prevent the murder of Scout Trooper 1828810 and redirect the Star Wars multiverse into something that isn't as shit as the sequels.
Thank God someone got this meme 😂
Just got Lego skywalker saga for free in Epic, and that was the best decision I ever make for Star Wars related.
3:06 I'm laughing so hard right now 😅😂
I was going to not get the game on EPIC this week because I have a deep hatred for disney's starwars and the so called "skywalker" saga that for disgusting history erasure reasons includes Ray. But if the game is actually good, I'll just take it. It's not like I'm paying for it anyway.
Also it's so charming how when you kill a lego character it bursts into pieces making rattling plastic noises.
Definitely get it! FREE is a good price 😆
This game is pretty fun during your first run.
And we got Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga for free from Epic 🥳
1:11 looks like euphoria physics
They can turn gold in turd.
8:51 “Like a bantha!” ~ Boba Fett
4:50 DAFUQ is with that punch. LOL
This game is not a joke, is a bad one liner, and once you hear it you cringe and wish to never hear it again.
6:40 she is fighting like Bud Spencer lol
Morality, The risk with next gen, is if the graphics become too realist and too perfect, it becomes harder to animate, and the dev become lazy.
They have to find the good balance.
Maybe the level of games like GTA 5, RDR2, Days Gone, Death Stranding, is a good balance, because with pretty good graphism enough, to concentrate to the gameplay and animations.
The “explosions dismantle NPC’S” part ain’t too valid when every NPC falls apart when it dies.
Ubisoft really went: “you really thought you are buying GTA in space”
Wow, even the Skywalker saga graphics and the sand details are more beautiful than this "high budget" game from bugsolft.
Lego Star Wars looks like a videogame. Star Wars Outlaws looks like a highly curated virtual experience, if you can even call it that. Probably going to try Lego Star Wars now that genuinely looked like some wholesome fun.
Great video😊
