I’ve hunted 80/81 a couple years now, have a muzzleloader Mulie tag and rifle black bear tag this year. Hit the South Fork area pretty hard and around the mine last year.
@@cjharv2 my elk hunt was archery and unsuccessful. But for mule deer this year I’m running a CVA LR-X with the williams western precision peep sight, 110 grains of blackhorn 209 and 250 grain power belt bullets.
Congratulations on your first Elk! Bulls don’t come easy in Co. Enjoyed the authenticity
Nice set up! Congrats!
Good video, Congrats. I put in for Muzzleloader this year in Colorado, area 81.

Congrats - excellent bull. Any bull taken is a successful hunt on public lands and a 5x6 is a bonus. What bullet and powder were you using?
Awesome hunt. What unit you in?

Nice set up! I have the same gun/sight set up. I shoot Thor bullets and blackhorn 209. Deadly accurate to 200yrds with a good THUMP still. AWESOME JOB
Great job on a great bull! Muzzleloader is no easy task especially no optics(just like here in Oregon). Congrats
