I've gotten thru a LOT of various stories and of all of them, this is THE first I think is actually something that would have made it into a classic issue of Amazing in its heyday. This was hysterical and well done. Enjoyed it all.
This is a good, humorous, story. The aliens had an incomplete data file on human tactical encounters. When the aliens care more about following rational, logical, tactical doctrines, humans adapt their tactics to fit the scenario. This the aliens would have understood if they had studied earth's past wars more closely.
