What I would do to "fix" the Iron Golem, is making it drop the item it was summoned from, with it's durability reduced to 0, so you wouldn't be able to immediately resummon it. Iron Golem is basically a 1 point wonder. Combined with golem mastery, summon resist and + skills he will be tanky enough to not die frequently. Once you use Infinity on your act 2 merc, feed Insight to the Iron Golem to help with teleporting and corpse explosion spam. Back in the day when I was hard core into D2. The meta was clay golem for it's slow effect, unless you were rich enough to make an iron from an aura item then that was preferred. Blood and fire golems are pretty inefficient at really everything. Golems are really just a support unit, and can't really be a main source of damage. The skellies and revives do most of the damage in any summoner build.
For the IK mauls, I throw in spare perfect amathysts and El runes that Have laying around. The extra Flat AR makes it feel like he's actually hitting g act bosses more often vs missing half the time
In original D2, I remember summoning the Iron Golem and the colour palette matched the source item. So if I had a metal armour with a life attribute for instance, the Iron Golem was red. And the birth of the animated guardian In poe.
I have a question about the fire golem synergy with iron golem does it apply to his base damage or damage after being applied from the weapon it has equipped/made of?
Does the golem take on attributes from a socket? E.g. the woestave with a gem/jewel/rune
He equips the item and wields it as it is when you transmute him so yes
If you make the golem out of delirium does it turn into a stygian doll? I assume no because mercs don't but I have to ask.
I am gonna assume no, although in the past mercs did turn into dolls they just crashed the game when they did it
Does replenish quantity add to regen? Also, Thorns and Iron Maiden?
Ah jeeze, he really did it, he asked for questions about the IG...
What lvl Thorns does IG have. If you make him out of an item with + to skills will it increase his Thorns
Can you feed him a pot when he's dying as you could with merc
Does IG have attribs (str, dex, etc). What happens when you make him out of something that gives +str for instance
What happens if you try to make him out of a Cranium Basher. Hammer class weaps are metallic, however the thunder maul graphic appears as all wood
...What if you go for a long period without logging in and so IG hasn't gotten to use thorns in a while. Does he get... oh man, what's the word. You say it when someone hasn't done something for a while and they're not quite as good as they were. ...shoot. This is gonna bug me.
Rusty! 🤣
Can you make it out of malice? Life support simulator! Challenge run idea right there.
I wonder how tuff he would be with a nice exile sheild
You've should max out clay golem also, because he lacks of attack rating in your video. He is not hitting enough to show the dmg he is able to.
He was running conviction aura lol, that literally negates like 80% of the monsters defense.
I thought you could up the damage the Iron Golem can do by putting points in your Fire Golem
its hard to make the golem immortal and also provide an extra aura or something for utility
It would be nice if it were possible to resummon the same iron golem from the remainings of the "dead" iron golem just lost a few minutes ago.
At around 18mins in, I remember that my Javazon would delete the whole screen with a single spell, and that no matter how much you delve into the iron golem, it is just not worth watching it. The game isnt balanced. Some things just dont work
also would be cool to make golem out of bows and stuff
Can you create an Iron Golem out of an item that is beyond your current level?
yes, iron golem just weilds it or wears it he don't care
I was just wondering about maxed golem build, to see if any of it is viable still.
If you turn an iron golem into a Gull Dagger would you also get the Magic Find? Or only if the Golem gets the kill 🤔
Only if the golem gets the Killing Blow
Iron golem + amplify damage= 🖤
Awesome video sir. Hats off
If he uses a bonehew would he gain the synergy’s bonus and kill things!?!?
No because your iron golem isn't you, but he would spam bonespears
So now that they patched this and the iron golem from metal grid isn't lost between games, does that mean it stays at the level it was when casted?
It will always be the level on the amulet
if you use reapers toll the golem launch decrepify ?
Yes, he will have the decrepify proc just like a Merc would
Hi Ginger, I'm not sure about the extra life of Battle Orders, according with The Amazon Basin " +% Life from Battle Orders and Oak Sage is applied after +% life from Golem Mastery" but you say that only apply to the base life of the golem ( before the Golem Mastery). I often use the IG and when I use battle orders I notice an important boost of life in the golem. Any clue on this? thanks for the video.
"+% Life is added to Blood Golem synergy bonus and applied before +% life from Battle Orders and Oak Sage." I may have confused myself a little =p hopefully this helps
@@GGMentor Thanks! a tough one: regarding the damage on weapons with two damage listings, both one-handed and two-handed .. what is the damage apply to the Iron Golem? two handed? one handed damage?
@@SamielAC the one handed two handed only applies to barbarian.
When not on a barbarian always assume two handed numbers. No one else can use those as one handed weapons
So those Iron Wolves just wear a shield for the looks. Good to know.
"I don't know WHY he has 100% poison resistance".
...because it is made of IRON. Iron does not "die" when poisoned^^
Can you make iron golem ranged attack?
I'm in a ladder group that makes iron golems out of enigmas lol
Do they get tele ?
More!!! More Videos!!
Leather belts buckle has left the chat
Any console players know how to check the stats of our Golem once we've summoned it? Or our skeletons, Skeleton Mages, and Revives?
I always thought it was weird that you couldn't have all 4 golems. I mean you put all those points into them and you only get one!? they need a golem inventory menu something very similar to mercenary inventory
If you were only going to dedicate like... Let's say 30 points into Iron Golem and Synergies, what is probably the best way to get it up there?
Golem mastery seems to be the better way to increase his HP
@@GGMentor is the Iron Golem Thorns (so the Iron Golem Skill itself) worth investing in? I've always had a love/hate relationship with Thorns. Feels like it's always weaker than it should be.
@@alagass6466 it's a lot stronger now then it ever was in the past. Recent changes to thorns have made it a lot better.
That being said if you do run thorns on a Necro it's probably for everyone not just the iron golem.
So it seems silly to invest points in the iron golem for just the thorns.
With the iron golem you really just want him to stay alive
how did you get 10K hp on your iron golem? Mine isn't anywhere near that with more points in all the skills.
@@Demortixx some difficulty matters first off.
They get more hp in hell.
Golem mastery, and blood golem synergy
Can iron golem get indestructible ability from a weapon
What about grief runeword as ig base?
Insight and malice iron golems are cheap and useful
Aaa but what happens when u summon him out of delirium ?
He wears it just like a Merc would
They fixed metal grit. Now it is getting interesting…
