Glad you mentioned the Hammerdin's "Stealth Debuff" at the end there. I made a pure Hammerdin to co-op with a friend. The six or so times we encountered magic immunes his sorceress took them out. The rest of the game, I spammed hammers. And hammers. And... hammers. Truly a one shot wonder of a character, which while highly effective at killing mobs, soon begins to feel quite... bleh.
It wasn't stealth lol, they Deliberately said they were nerfing BH. It ended up being Sunder Charms which did exactly what they said. We just didn't understand what they meant at the time.
anything hybrid is fun(I have a couple) but with the new sunders it is no longer needed except to have some fun - pure nova or pure hydra sorc are very very strong now the hydra variant just needs some - fire res equipment(flickering flame gives -15 and a 3 piece tal the wand gives another -15 , so -30 with almost no effort)and a sunder to function and be more then viable even on p5 The hybrid sorc that I used before the sunders because it didn't require as many points was frozen orb+hydra, very effective.
You can hit the 125 breakpoint with enigma using this gear Arach -20 Magefists/trangs -20 Spirit - 35 20 fcr +2 pally circlet Hoto-40 For 135 total. You could also drop the circlet and sub in a 10% FCR ring or ammy and hit exactly 125 as well.
The 125 requires x2 10 fcr rings 10fcr ammy hoto 40fcr 35fcr spirit and either a 20fcr helm or gloves. If you can get a 2 20 ammy you can drop a ring for an soj
Concentration is actually suppose to affect spells and melee / ranged abilities. That is based on D&D rules. I surmise the explanation they gave us was sufficient back in the day but knowing blizzard they attempted to merge a few things into one thing and improperly implemented it.
I was able to hit 65+ on my hammerdin. Just starting Hell and I have noticed the difficulty although I have the spirit sword and shield. My follower on the other hand needs some better gear, preferably hp leech. I will most likely respec into something else, since I have 2 respecs left.
Actually the hammers were able to damage undead (and only undead due to "BLESSED" hammer) who were magic immune in the past. That way speed leveling in Upper Tristram, with two paladins spamming blessed hammer on summoned undead from Mephisto, while the other players stayed close by to get XP, was possible. Once they took that away from blessed hammer speed leveling was not possible anymore.
I hate how unknown Hammerdin builds are. It’s an amazing skill, yet you see virtually no one utilizing the skill. It’s truly heartbreaking. It reminds me of Enigma and how it is so niche that no one wants it. 😞
I had my own hammerdins back in the day multiple of them, Just like I made a thousand Sorcs. It's not that I hate BH, I just moved on to more fun things.

Exactly I don’t even play them hardly anymore.

@@GGMentor lol developers need a class on documentation
@@GGMentor Actually by "Stealth Debuff" I was referring by how boring Hammerdins can feel to play, at least in my experience.
Good video as always ❤
9:38-9:53: Back foul beast! Back to the dirt from whence you came! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Could you cover the hydra ability? I was curious about making a nova hydra sorc but not sure.

This was my go to for a while until they gave us Fist of the Heavens. That has its own struggles but it’s pretty damn fun and very party friendly.

yup, no longer damages undead.

By using them together

lol are you trying to be sarcastic 😂

Me? Never..... :)
I'm a noob, and even I got bored with hammerdin at level 65 with bad gear. Going to respec into something else...
Gear definitely don’t matter with hammerdin 😂 but I agree it gets ultra meh
fist of heavens is good , safe and relatively fun to play , and it won't make you have to change your gear entirely for the most part
@@mihai000000 pretty much you can solo with holy fire and FoH
I think hammers is a great starter build for the noob!! I can tell you hate BH!
