    Nice Work! I work at an O’Reilly’s Distribution Center, so I get my Jeep auto parts for 50% off the retail price with my employee discount, perks of working at a auto parts place. 👍🏼

    Nicely done but how about replacing the Jeep with something that doesn't breakdown or start on fire just before the wheels fly off (true stories)? A Toyota or a Ford would fix this.

    May I ask why you by passed the AC pulley with the belt.

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 років тому

      Rayray Stayn Low the ac compressor was sticking and i didnt want it to damage the belt. I also plan on putting an on board air compressor in its place

    Did you just turn the tensioner bolt counter-clockwise after the belt was in place to set back into position, then?

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 років тому +2

      ROBO TYPHOON NO! its an automatic tensioner!

    • @ROBOTYPHOON
      @ROBOTYPHOON 5 років тому

      @@barricadegarage5361 What did you do at 4:02, just move it to the side without turning the bolt? I need to do this on my Jeep soon, the noise is unbearable!

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 років тому

      ROBO TYPHOON the same thing I did at 1:28.. the bolt on the pulley does not loosen when you turn it towards the drivers side, this action just puts pressure on the spring inside the tensioners body and causes the entire pulley and pivot point to rotate which relieves belt tension and allows you to slip the belt off.
      as you rotate the tensioner clockwise, the spring inside is gonna wanna push counter clockwise because thats its natural position, but the the actual 15 millemeter bolt will not move at all so you dont have to worry about that.
      check out my serpentine belt replacement video for refrence...

      @@barricadegarage5361 Ahh, I see what you mean now, that makes sense, I thought I saw it move in the beginning. I appreciate the explanation, I'm sure I'll watch this at least three more times before I attempt it.. 🤣 Thanks again though man, stay warm out there!
