He may still be flirting, only the reason is because he is not comfortable with showing others that he is gay, and flirting with girls hides it. I seem to recall he was somewhat scared to tell people, but mabye i'm just making things up.

I always see people say that Sam's the funny guy of the group, but everyone overlooks the fact that Ashley is the one who consistently cracks Sam himself up. She's so on-point and quick with her jokes that sometimes she flies under the radar.
This video could be used as a good counter-argument to the Matt Mercer Effect. You know, when people complain their DM is "not as good as Matt": This hilarious scene has very little to do with Matt. He didn't plan for it obviously, he just went with the joke and provided funny descriptions for the pictures. But the entire rest was created by two of the players (or actually all of them). So people: Don't expect a Matt Mercer behind the screen if you can't be a Sam Riegel or Ashley Johnson yourself.

Liam is so right. All of the seriousness of a campaign, the grinding sessions, the "boss" battles. They are part and parcel of D&D, but this is the kind of thing that you remember and *love* about D&D - not the mechanics or worldbuilding, but the fun with friends.
I like the idea that Vex was not only on top (and really, did any of us ever doubt it?) but stayed like that even though she realized Doty was looking at her long enough to be drawn.

Amazon honestly, honestly, would win if they added non LoVM episode featurettes in addition to the series that adds bits of story that might need to be cut for episode time and pacing purposes to do them full justice... Parts that aren't necessarily plot related but are so essential to REALLY knowing the group 😄

Still one of my absolute favorite scenes of all CR. I really, really, really personally need Tary to appear in the LoVM series, and if so, I dearly hope this scene makes it in, as word for word as possible. It's just too good.

Years later this is still a strong contender for the finniest single scene in CR history. Just wall to wall absolute bangers from start to finish. You could probably teach a class on improv comedy based on just this scene.

@@dolphin64575 Yeah they did a Trilogy. Senior Year was done while Darren Criss was heavy into filming Glee so he's rocking his Blaine look for Senior Year. Do keep in mind that Senior Year was never polished to the point of being a full production. It was intended to be a Table Read at Leaky Con, but in true Starkid Fashion, they decided, "Eff it let's bring out the costumes and make it a full production run through." So they all have their scripts and read off them at times and the costumes were never stage tested so physical shenanigans ensued during the performance. So what was intended to be only a Table Read at Leaky Con turned into, essentially, a full Starkid Musical performed live at Leaky Con. They had, like, one day to actually rehearse this and Darren had, like, half a day because he flew in on the day of the performance fresh off the Glee set.

When you learn Taryon is actually gay this scene changes deeply. He isn't flirting with Pike and there is a reason he knows the full name of Percy.
I just only realized this... it also completely explains the reaction to Grog's picture aswell...
