This video is so helpful! Thanks so much for this. My 13 plate fiesta is doing exactly this and I have changed so many parts trying to figure it out. Subscribed!
Hey Such a common issue, mine is the same at 177ks... you didn't show how to do a throttle relearn, after removing throttle body & bending the inner tabs.. Whats the process of relearn after refitting the throttle body? thanks!
Thanks for great video, I have a Fiesta zetec, , great reliable car, I will watch out for this issue , would have loved to see the Throttle relearn you mentioned , I don't have scanner, if there was no throttle positional change during the track cleaning could you get away without the relearn , what if no throttle relearn was carried out , what affect would you see.
@@stevekeen just a throttle clean around the butterfly valve didn’t have an effect on the car at all. Literally plug and play. If you clean the tracks though, that’s when I experienced a no start until I had to recalibrate the throttle body. In hindsight, I should have recorded it but if I get the opportunity to film a throttle calibration I’ll be sure to film it as an extra. That’s why I’ve suggested to have access to one just in case. This only happened when my car was 13 years old and over 120,000 odd miles. So unless your car is close to that age/mileage then I don’t think it’ll be an issue anytime soon. Thanks for getting in touch though 👍🏼
This is awesome but what does it mean at 17:13 - "had to do a throttle body reset to learn the basic values"? After talking in real layman's terms for the rest of the video it feels like a big chunk of information is glossed over here, which means the viewer now doesn't know if they can take this on or not....
Best car tutorial on UA-cam!
No BS, just honest down to Earth tips and tricks!
this channel will be big, the way you explain and tutor is
excellent, cheers and keep them coming

OK .. I can see it says a bit more in the video description about that...
Do you have a video that shows the idle is back to normal? Thank you
