- Has anyone ever tried to make a submarine with the Valkyrien Skies mod? Well I did, and you better believe it ended up not functioning half right.

Once Clockwork comes out this won't just be a hold off for Aeronautics but an actual competetor.
From what I've heard aeronautics is more like you have to do some engineering and physics, valkyrien skies is a more laid back, simple system.
hmm, true. however, you can breathe in aeronautics submarines. they showed em off recently.

aeronautic is more engineer, valkyrein is more easy to do

For the water breathing system, you can use a conduit with some prismarine to power it

The mods I used are all free and in the description! You can look up various tutorials on how to install them. I used the Forge version of these mods and their dependencies

Aeronautics subs allow you to breathe while underwater.

Valkyrien Skies 2 has almost full support for create, the only issues i had with it is when standing on a train while the airship is moving since the train once its built is technically a entity. Other than that you can use rope pulleys, super glue works, etc...
It’s quite a cool mod. I have found a slew of issues with Create compatibility tho
The fact that you can remove the steering wheel and just have physics based minecraft blocks is almost more interesting than the actual intended purpose of the mod. I really want to experiment with that
You wont need as many balloons for bouyancy if you use floaters instead btw. Like 2-4 floaters would probably balance this thing i think?
I used balloons for easier vertical movement… but maybe in version 2.0… thanks for watching!

For ballasts, use water tanks with pumps like real submarines do. It probably is heavier if it is full I think

You can make a submarine in 1.12.2, the valkyrien skies have all for this (even tools to neutralize the water in the submarine) and its work well

Okay, so the reason it takes so long for me is usually personal issues. I was just extremely sick for the past -12 days or so. I use Filmora to edit, I would highly recommend it if you’re just starting out and have a small budget. The actually production time of production for this video was about ~3 days, and maybe 8 hours max of actual work, thanks for watching!

why use balloons when there are floaters, they are more efficient underwater, so you need less and balloons are for the air
Interesting, I hadn't considered them. I will make a note of this, I'm not sure how well it would work with a submarine but I will give it a try!

How do you force it underwater and get it up again?
With balloons I can have vertical control over the submarine by pressing (I believe) spacebar for up and V for down

I don’t think so, since it kinda acts more like an entity so if it did work it would only work once. Plus, there would be some other complications (I.e the sub now floating on nothing)

@@thesavagenarwhal you could search it in Google for what it looks like. But basically it's a spaceship that looks like a Tin can made by the 1st evolution of humans called Ancients. The ship was nicknamed as puddle jumper because of the STARGÅTE missions. It can fly without wings. And (this part probably not possible to Minecraft) it can be operated by a person with a certain gene that makes the ship's system think their ancient, basically a ship without controls other than the driver, and a keyboard for the STARGÅTE buttons.

I do, and I’ve mentioned why I didn’t use them a few times. Using balloons allows for vertical control, however in my Part 2 I’ll be using a fun little machine utilizing floaters

the problem is that water remains in the middle during immersion
It is a massive issue, I’ve tried a few different things but nothing really seems to work. The sub is treated as some kind of entity, so water completely ignores the blocks. It is quite annoying. Thanks for watching!

@@thesavagenarwhal Do you know if there are plans in the making to make it so water does not enter the entity? This happens with regular floating boats too! So the aesthetic of part of a boat being submerged isn't really there :/
