Jane Foster joins the Marvel’s Avengers roster as the Mighty Thor in a free update. She possesses all the strength and power of a God of Thunder, but with human touches all her own.
This update adds to a game already packed with content, including a sprawling single-player story campaign, 11 playable heroes, and endless multiplayer action for up to four players.

so theres two hawkeyes and now two thor's before we get the likes of scarlett witch and winter soilder? Just seems like the Jane Foster addition is purely to promote the new Thor movie.
thats exactly what it is. this game is just going to be a marketing arm for the movies going forward.
Apparently the team has several characters ready to go and marketing won't let them release until a relevant movie or show releases...

The fact that they are still working on this game makes me feel both impressed and sad at the same time.
The bad thing is that they don't add new missions with every character related to him/ her like they did with black panther.

That's exactly my point and I have no idea how it's going over peoples heads that gameplay wise it makes no sense to have a character that plays like one we already have when there's so many more characters we could have had. I'd have rather had a Scarlet Witch or Captain Marvel and save Jane Foster for when we have had a much larger roster of original playing characters.

Yes, but that would've meant creating a hero from scratch as opposed to recycling stuff from an existing one. Probably too much work for the skeleton crew they have working on this game.

Jane Foster could have easily just been a Echo of Thor similar to how they do it in Super Smash. When you have loads of other hero's. Two Hawkeye's makes sense and Kate Bishop has teleporting to get around.
You could have had:
Winter Soldier - Assault Rifle Ranged + Brawler with Metal arm
Scarlet Witch - Magic Blasts Ranged + Magic Fists + Flight Character
Quick Silver - Some type of Ranged attack where he literally runs back and forth at lightning speed + Brawler and Quick Punches + New Speed Archetype
Vision - Laser Beams Ranged + Fists + Flight Character
Blade - Shotgun Ranged + Sword
Moon Knight - Moon Glavies Ranged + Brawler
Etc Etc
Anything except a second Thor
Because that would make sense

What I get from this is that the next heroes will be slight variations of existing ones. Now is Jane, the next ones are probably War Machine (based on Iron Man), She-Hulk (based on Hulk) and Winter Soldier (based on Cpt America)

She has no harm room and she’s basically the same, just with a different ultimate, skill affect
I get that they said she would play similar to thor. But she has basically no identity as a character. She has the same swings, dodges, throws, punches, finishers, and even abilities. The only differences are her ultimate and her skins. This is incredibly underwhelming and makes me truly wonder why Jane Foster took so long to release. I empathize with the development teams struggles with SE trying to bury the project, fans hating it, and lots of work overall. But as a long time fan of the game, I really wonder what the point of this is and where all the time went.

Here's an idea, why don't you guys make a war machine? He could have machine guns, rockets, and repulsors. He would use his machine guns like he did in Marvel's Iron Man 2 utilizing his guns on his arms and his shoulder. He would use repulsors and rockets like Iron Man, but with different power attacks, for rockets he could launch one powerful rocket. I would really like to see this cause Iron Man is my favorite Marvel character and I would like to see his best freind in the game.

i think next is: amazing spider man, ultimate spider man, spider women, spider gwen, miles morales's spiderman, tobey spider man, andrew spider man, spider boy, spider girl, spider grandpa, man spider, spider monkey, spider mon, etc.
This would’ve made perfect sense as a replacement character in a sequel to this game (obviously that is never going to happen) but not in the same game where multiple versions of the same hero’s can be played at one time. This is basically just a Thor reskin.

Dang, I randomly searched for this, and it happened to be released today. Ain't nobody even report on it.
After playing this character for 4 minutes and looking at her skills I rest my case. She should've at least been Valkrie and came with the all weapon as the default weapon. Someone definitely forced them to make this character at the last minute because she's just Thor. She- Hulk better not disappoint man.

Missed the boat with this. I’d be behind it if they actually made a DLC for it where Thor and Jane have to rescue Asgard from Jotunheim or prevent Ragnarok. Maybe expand on Loki a little.

This was not it. The fact that we can already pick the same character plus they decided to show us for 3mins straight that its not that different from original makes this feel uncomfortably stupid.

As someone who didn’t really feel Thor that much, she looks like a much better fit to my playstyle
The game hasn't even gotten the full promised roster and we already have 2 clones.
I've gotten my Thor up to 150 and have been enjoying how powerful he can be. Really wanna see Jane Foster's full strength on display also with a few champion levels added in! And seeing her with a second weapon in her kit is pretty sweet too. Wonder if Odinson could get a certain axe in the mix one day🤔 Prob not but one can hope. That said I'd want to see more focus on matchmaking in the future now that our next character is live. One of the best things you've added is missions that can run back to back...may have needed it day 1 IMO but it still needs a little work👍🏾. Keep on with the updates...those of us who play regularly very much appreciate them😁
