Yes Thank you, it was very helpful, me and my friend have been wanting to wrap my horses legs, but we found so many different ways, so it was really confusing, but I trust you and your channel, so thanks so much!
Do not finish the velcro part on the inside of the leg, if the horse rubs the legs on each other the velcro could get undone - just a detail, otherwise good wrap.
my velcro keeps ending up on the inside.. like the actual velcro part is against the leg rather than on the outside, so i can’t velcro them together. what am i doing wrong?
Madison Raffel you must be rolling it wrong to start out before it even goes on the leg. Stretch the polo out completely and start by rolling the Velcro into it self, into the other half of the Velcro. Continue rolling until it’s rolled up, then you can put it on the leg.
Does the V- in the polo have to be centered and I accidentally bought a pair of polos with only two. Would that look ok if I put them on only the front? I don’t want to look weird 😂
Vanessa Oldhaven Ideally the V should be centered but it's not the end of the world if it's off a little to one side. Make sure you always wrap legs in pairs, both the fronts, or both the backs or all four! You can definitely just wrap the front legs!
Greasy Arc Gaming Yes the should never be so tight that you can’t put your finger in. They should be tight enough to stay on a leg, but if it’s too tight, it can mess up their tendons. I my opinion, she did them too tight.
@@amandaweber2555 I disagree with you everyone has a preference and she has many years of experience and has never hurt one of her animals doing polos.
@@annashantery3063 oh I wasn’t meaning to imply that she was hurting the horse, I was just saying that they were too tight for MY taste. She seems very educated and talented. :)
Excellent video! I do have a question, though...sometimes my back polos end up with the logo upside down. what the heck am I doing wrong? Is there a trick I'm missing? :)
Brianna Mundwiller i'm late but make sure the velcro is in ok shape, and yes pull tighter.. but pull back so pressure is on the horses bone, and not pulling against their tendon. :))
Melissa Ryan It's personal preference and what works best for your horse. If you want your horse to have support when jumping, then polos are ideal. However, their legs are at a high risk for interference when jumping, so most people use hard-shell open front boots. Polos provide tendon and fetlock support, but only protect their legs from small nicks and bumps because they're softer than boots. Hope this helps!
Sarah Kennedy If you want both support and protection from bumps you can use an open front boot over the polo wrap! not very common but a few people at my barn do that lol
Ouch! Pull the horses tail? .... .... *Starts to laugh* S-Sorry I just imagined what would happen. *Laughs even harder* Heh! Heh heh Heh. Heh...... ... ... I need help.
Thank you! I was having a heck of a time figuring out which way to wrap the polo. This visual is the only tutorial that has helped me!
I have been riding for 17 years and just bought my first pair of polo wraps. Wish me luck 😂😂😂
Good luck! (LOL this is so late)
Wow, you wrap them so beautifully!! I'm in awe 😍😂
Re-watching everything until you make a new video 😂❤️ Obsessed with your channel and insta!!
I never thought of rewrapping them off the leg!! I usually take them off and tie them to the stall then wrap again.
That’s what i do. But I play polocrosse that’s my reason
You make it look so easy!

How do you make sure it ends up on the outside? Do you have to rewrap or is there a L and R?
This video was really helpful! Thank you!

I hope u enjoyed your UA-cam break and now u have time yey!
how tight do you wrap? I have such a hard time with wrapping and getting around the fetlock
Great video! What brand of polos are you using here?, they have a lot of stretch..

JJ Equestrian Thank you!
Vanessa Oldhaven No problem!
How right should it be? Like should I be able to fit a finger between the leg and the wrap when I’m finished?
Greasy Arc Gaming

Amanda Weber ok thanks

@@amandaweber2555 👍your right having them looser is your preference as hers is tighter! Makes sense.😊
Do the Polo raps help for when your jumping and your horse occasionally hits his leg on the jump?
Polo wraps help keep tendons secure, like compression socks. ONLY when wrapped correctly.
They act like compression socks and are more commonly used in dressage and horse racing
they can be they are commonly used for protection if wrapped correctly they can be a great protection for your horses legs

You might be rolling from the inside and not the outside?
My polos come undone a lot do I do them up tighter?
Brianna Mundwiller invest in better polos

is it ok to use polos when you're jumping 3ft+?

can you do a grooming routine
how tight does it have to be?
Snug, but not restrictive. To tighten it, pull the fabric snug when you come across the front of the leg & are pulling back!
not to tight but not to loose .. snuggish
Who tf is that 1 dislike?? And WHY!?😂🙄
2 dislike* and yeah WHY?!?!?
I’ve watched few videos and none of them show how this it looks like from behind, Which is important! So off I go to another video :(
