We didn't spend a long time in Rwanda and didn't film a whole lot but we still wanted to share our experience. Learning and understanding more about the history of this country and the devastating genocide gave us such a different perspective.

Where you come from??
I am an African , born in Malawi and have lived in many African countries and this is without doubt the cleanest country I have seen. Your coverage is wonderful, I love how respectful you were, of obviously a terrible human inflicted disaster !! I still want to travel to Rwanda to do the gorillas, but also the whole genoside experience as well and you have wetted my appetite even further. Thank-you.

I drove on that road last December. I drove from Gisenyi, Rwanda to Kampala, Uganda, and back from Kampala to Rwanda. It was a beautiful experience.

These genocide related museums are heart breaking to visit...i recently toured Robin Island, Capetown, RSA. I was emotional throughout the tour, and i will never go back there. 😢

Rwanda 🇷🇼 has gone through terrible history, history of genocide against the Tutsis in 1994 where over A million Tutsis were killed and the country were completely destroyed and no stone were left, all the money in central bank and all banks were stolen by the defeated gvrt. The economy was below zero, now look how the country has rebuild. Bravo 👏 to all Rwandans and the leaders

Odd that two English people didn’t recognize a tea plantation and had to ask what it is lol Tea plantations are at lower elevations in the mountains and it’s a very picky plant that requires frequent rains but for the water to run off than stay like rice fields.
I don’t think I have tasted Rwandan tea yet and have tried the Rooibos in Southern Africa which is not exactly my cup of tea. It’s kinda bitter like medicine. East Africa has great coffee though and they have tea plantations in Rwanda and few other places I remember seeing like Zimbabwe up in the mountains.
Rwanda is a beautiful and clean country albeit with a dark past which I can remember from my younger years. Burundi is also supposed to be beautiful but never been there due to safety concerns.

@@TheLandyExpedition Yeah, Rwanda is awesome. You have never visited India or Sri Lanka ? Or China? Tea plantations are everywhere in those countries. It’s a common sight in low elevation mountainous areas in India and Sri Lanka. Kenya has a lot of tea plantations as well.

A small country with a small economy and u compare it to big countries with bigger economy. People in Rwanda are not lovely like Uganda and Kenya bcoz they are restricted in their expressions apart from media cosmetics
