Only in a Series Land Rover it's just simply a way of life. Both my Series 1 88 diesel and my Series 2A 109 diesel are still going strong after all the years. They're part of the family. BTW I'm the original owner of both. Great video of THE REAL WORK HORSE OF THE WORLD doing what a Land Rover is supposed to be doing.
Wow! This was excellent! Great to see these older Landys doing the “Landy thing”! As an owner of a 1966 S2A 88”, this makes my heart proud. Nicely done to all involved.👌
Absolutely fabulous start to the end, makes me want to jump in my s2a and head out,but its winter here in Ireland so cold and wet , but made me smile to hear your stories and just how good you all got on together, well done again ,are all running standard landy engines, Aidan in Ireland
On this trip - 3 of the Land Rovers were privately owned and the other 3 by Classic Safari. Typically they are put on a recovery truck (flat bed) and taken to the start point, which roughly a 5-6 hour drive from the Classic safari yard in Falaj Al Mualla (Umm Al Quwain). All the drivers in the video live in the UAE. I do rent Land Rovers to people (local and international) who want to join on these expeditions. The next one is a week away (14th-17th of November) and we are taking 9 series vehicles of which 4 are privately owned and 5 from us with around 15-20 people joining. We do a a criteria for people wishing to join - of which I will post a video of this afternoon explaining. However please feel free to email me on classicsafari@outlook.com or check out www.classicsafariuae.com for phone and WhatsApp.
14:00 old mate doesn't realise his gearbox doesn't have syncro for 1st to 2nd. Not the best time to have to learn double clutch shifting, but sounds like it's time to learn.
Their “Agilis HD 750 x 16” … they are essentially a truck tyre. However they performed better than any other sand tyre we’ve used. Not the prettiest and defies all logic…

Che spettacolo, io l'88 me lo regalai per i miei 26 anni, nel lontano 1998 e c'è l'ho ancora...
One of the worlds greatest playground’s the empty quarter if treated with respect 👌🏻😎
That was fun. Reminds me of the Simpson Desert here in Australia.

We are doing another one from the 28/02 -02/03 - if you want to join in please send me an email to classicsafari@outlook.com
I wish someone would pay for me and my 109 to do a trip like that.
Are these each driver's personal vehicles? How did you ship them there, assuming you don't live there? Costs involved in a trip like this?

Who’s that good looking man in the 101?
Which Michelin tires did you use?
