We all humble survivors with a honest message ...., kids need true roll models and older friends and most importantly .. 2 ... two ... 2 .... parents in their lives .... who should be their best friends ..... TV.. MUSIC IDOLS ... HOLLYWOOD .. etc are false idols .... parents need to realise and replace themselves back into there kids lives ... .. young fellas love older fellas with a fair sensable head .... as we did when we were young (some of us fatherless ) .. none my older mates wanted me in trouble .. we were more use to them as unknowns to others .. but we wanted to prove we were men cause we had no real constant bestfriend father figure ... so we wanted to show we were men and didnt need them i think .....im mitches age . I often tryed to work out why things ended like they did /have ... sorry .. just ranting amongst like minded men ...

I subscribe to 3 channels that deal with Prison and this channel is by far the one that resonates with me the most. Smiley doesn’t Glorify anything about his time in prison and I’m sure he’s got war stories for days n days. So happy you are out Mitch. I was convicted first in my 30’s so I didn’t discover myself in prison. I was able to get out and just be me. My point is that you did 38 years from the age of 17... you by all rights should sound like Johnny Convict but you’ve got such integrity that you sound just like you. You obviously know who you are and knew who you were from a young age. You are doing great work with your videos and I appreciate you highly.

Smiley I love listening to your stories. I did a little short of 2 years up in Utah state penn and I feel the anxiety the happiness and the anger (every other emotion) in the stories you tell. Now I did it right when I got paroled. I did what they said and I didn’t violate. But I’m not going to lie lately I’ve had a hard time staying grounded and losing site of the big picture. Listening to you almost immediately got me going in the right direction again. I thank you for investing your time and telling your story. Oh yea your wife is still beautiful and your a lucky man!!!😁

Smiley, Thank You for the REAL view points and Life Experiences. You definitely are an Old Head and one blessed with wisdom gained from the school of hard knox. I am slow to add channels to my subscribe list and have checked out your message for a bit and have hit that button. I have came close to jail back in the day before I got Clean and Sober but never had been locked up and pray I never do, one day at a time. Have been blessed to experience 38 years Clean and Sober. Soooooooooo I can relate to many of your stories on a personal level. Enough of myself and more on you. I have recommended your channel to many to check out to get their fix of commonsense! Mitch you are so well spoken. You are a huge inspiration to me. I originally started watching this genre because I wanted to see the mindset of people under the worst situations, that came through. When I saw you on Death's show I knew I didn't need to listen to anyone else. My prison is pain, mentally and physical and health problems. I basically have sat in one place at home for years and cant do a lot else. I can't tell you how much you help me. We are both "old school" I dont see many men anymore that grew up in the time I did..men are just different and I cant relate. Anyway, some day I'd like to tell you about my times in County jails when I was younger...and the worst when I was 49 years old in jail for ten days, which was a trip and long for me, but you have probably taken dumps longer than that!! LOL it's a funny story though...AND,all the white guys called me..OLD SCHOOL! First time I ever heard that expression! LOL

I thought they where messing with me cause I was always in the guards faces, I thought they where pulling me out to beat the shit out me and take me to the hole again. Anyway I didn't do as much time big dog but I did enough to know prison is boring and an suckers game! I love that your trying to help people stay out of that shit hole system we have here 💯

You helping that old fella is about making ourselves feel human again ... we/you do cause it makes you feel good .. fuk everybody else and what they think ... its about making ourselves think and have empathy again ... he could be u/me in times to come ... not nescaseraly in prison ... showing empathy and kindness is showing strength .. not weakness ... it makes you feel good inside being able to do something no matter how trivial it seems .. for somebody less forturnate than you ..... that action is unmesurable in positivity and seeds of honest intent ... things older people (esp if we are super observiant of human nature, prison makes you see and understand human nature ,if you want to sit back and watch and learn ) who are strong but humble .... do ... cause they abide by their moral code .. not the hive mind mentality .. or thoughless following ..... .. you have to keep away from politics ...... my mum ,, who is was an artist ,taught art, shes 91 now , always drilled this in to me to help with problems ..... step back ... breath ,... distance brings perspective , perspective brings harmony , ...harmony bring peace ..... smiley im sure as an artist you understand and naturally understood it way back .. can tell by your overview of things .... have a good one .. nz mike ..
