Wow! Such a generously informative video, covering all aspects of the pottery process, from kneading the clay to the finished pieces. The narration is perfect, providing great explanation and tips throughout! Thank you very much Florian.
Wow, perfect explanation. Been teaching pottery for 3 years. You give words to things I sometimes have a hard time explaining. Just spectacular. Keep making wonderful content.
Thank you so much! My interest for pottery is relatively new and I am amazed by your generosity in sharing your craft. It's is such a reward when you open the kiln to see such beauty.
It’s such a pleasure to follow your process. I really like how you film, narrate and show your thinking and actions. We feel like we are with you making something beautiful. This is *way* better than anything you could find on the TV
I was always so fascinated with pottery and I always wondered how exactly is it made. Now I have much more appreciation for the pieces I have and I will buy from artists in the future. I just simply love this video so much
Beautiful pottery, soothing voiceover, nice fingers. This video definitely inspires me to take up a new hobby. I liked your work so much that I subscribed. Thank you.
You've hit it just right with your videos, watching how you work along with the narration is so informative, I'm learning so much with each you make. So much skill and attention to detail in your pots and your videos, thank you.

I almost never leave comments but I was absolutely enthralled by this video! I have never tried pottery before but that was absolutely fascinating, 20 mins just flew by. Wonderful narration
Just brilliant, everything from pulling the handles to using cones to judge the kiln temperature. I learned so much, I hope you're teaching your own classes.. you'd be so good at it
Florian Your attention to detail is extraordinary, in everything you do. Not just your endeavours to achieve a perfect piece every time but also the quality of the videos you are producing. Well done and thank you for sharing your skills and acquired experience and knowledge with us all.
So pleased to hear that. I don't particularly want to make thorough 'how to' videos but I feel explaining what it is I'm doing as I make, and the reasons why, are almost more valuable at a certain point. I'll be editing together a proper firing video that explains the entire packing, firing and unpacking process too at some point. I'm sitting on a ton of footage, I've just got to work out how to put it all together. Thanks for watching!
Haha, my UA-cam channel is still mostly unknown! I'm trying to send over my Instagram and TikTok audiences, there's over 500,000 people between them but it's surprisingly hard to redirect that traffic. Thanks for taking the time to watch though, I really appreciate it and I hope you found it useful!
Your videos are such a relaxing reprieve from all the crazy things happening nowadays. I have zero knowledge of pottery, but your works look well crafted and lovingly made, and your explanations are very interesting! Thanks for the video!
i love watching your process. you have a minimalistic style that i gravitate to. I appreciate you. I've notices that some potters tend to get gaudy with their work trying to make something different. i myself am finding it difficult to find myself in the clay. . i added texture to the pitcher around the rim . i really dont want to be precieved as a copy artist. these are trying times.

Found you first on TikTok, started following you on IG & now you are blessing us with these informative and thorough UA-cam videos 🥺😭 No one compares to you out there on this subject !! I’m very grateful that you’re going to be sharing your knowledge with me and the world
Thank you Signed! What a lovely comment, hearing things like that make all the time spent creating content so worth it. Good luck with your class! It'll be great, the first time throwing is always a bit strange and it feels silly, but trust me, it's very addictive once you get the hang of it.
Wow! My husband sent me this video thinking I could do this. Lol. I do slab ceramic. I don’t have a wheel. These are beautiful. Mine are totally wonky shaped. Looks like a 2nd grader made it. I’d love to buy one of these. Just gorgeous. You are a true artist

Thank you Sue, so pleased you've liked the videos. The narration is still something I'm yet to get fully used to but I really think it adds a lot to the videos.
Comment about the video: I found myself connected to your work, they way you filmed is brilliant, in away that I really enjoy rewatching it. I watch a lot of pottery videos as the quality of picture, they way you put narration after you filmed is really professional. Subscribed and definately following. Thanks!

That's great to hear, sometimes all it takes is one tiny bit of information to change how you work, I remember when I started to learn how to make pottery and those 'clicks' in my brain when I figured out something new or learnt something were always such a rush. I only wish those were as common nowadays. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos, Florian. I only fire oxidation, but get great results. I get a really lovely feeling when you do something just like I do, but I am picking up some great tips also. Hope to see some handbuilt pieces from you.
Amazing! thank you so much for sharing this whole process! I'm going to have to watch it over many times, just to absorb all the information in the video! lol I love the finished glaze, such an earthy colour IMHO.
Glad I found you on youtube, I like your methods and narration. I'll try to follow you from now. What you said about the bottoms of pots! I have always thought that the bottoms of pots are as important as the rest of the pot.
Thanks Clifford! So pleased you liked the video. And they definitely are, in fact I think the bases often convey more about the maker than the rest of the pot.

Nice and clear. I like the commentary format which is so much better than trying to talk to the camera, operate it and remember all that needs saying. Also I was interested in your crash cooling at the end of the firing - I must try that. Thanks for taking the trouble to put this together.
