Its a hard concept for those plugged in. I did the same. I got married young. She was still living with her parents. I helped her get a license, car, and job. She found someone else at that job and felt independent now that she had a car and money. She called me back a year later when things didnt work out 😂

This hit home with me. Thank you for this segment. Married my ex in 2009, after 3 years dating. She had a young kid from a previous relationship. After marriage, bought her a car, the house she wanted and raised her daughter the best I could. I also helped her get through nursing school. As soon as she graduated and after 12 years, she asked for the divorce. Lesson learned

I dated a single mom for 2 years.. she got a job in law enforcement and me being the great guy I am watched her 5 year old at the time while she went to the academy. After she graduated she started acting weird and broke up with me after I left I found out she was dating another cop in her department. Married him and a couple years after divorced. That was her 3rd marriage so I know I dodged a bullet and years later she apologized for doing what she did . I was really close there her daughter and it hurt leaving the relationship.
I guess at least she had the self awareness to apologize eventually.
