      I used a size 4 yarn by red heart and it looks so big. I have a 3.5 from hobii and that yarn is so thin. I also have on hand Impeccable and Caron and I think those are too big for this pattern. What brand yarn did you use? I know you said you got it from Joanns but what brand do you recommend? It's been easy so far for me. The beginning part measured 6 inches for me instead of 4. It looks like. I'm making a beanie. Help please!

      Hey 👋🏾 beautiful thanks for tuning in and supporting ❣️ I apologize for any confusion - what I meant was out of the grouping of the 3 stitches I counted I created the v-stitch (dc, ch 1, dc) all into the 2nd stitch from that grouping.. if that makes sense.. I have an updated version of these thigh-highs in a cream color if you wanted to view that as well. Hopefully that will answer any further question and if not I’m here to help 👌🏾💛

    Follow up follow up question. (Im sorry, I don’t mean to bug you🙇🏽‍♀️) I’m at row 20 for the leg portion now and the ankle’s looking very wide. I took your advice for the other comment and went down a hook for the feet. Should I just unravel and use a 4.5 for the ankle then go back up to 5.5 for the rest of the leg or will everything even out once I finish?

    • @KnottybySelassie
      @KnottybySelassie  3 роки тому +1

      No big deal 👌🏾the ankle will look wide at first but remember you will be going back at the end to close up that portion and I would recommend using the same hook size you used to make the toes for the heel - whether it was the 3.25Mm or 3.75Mm. Have you tried it on??

      You’re welcome Ayodele 🙏🏾 I would recommend you look at my updated video for these thigh-highs. • @michaeliajohnson1188
    @michaeliajohnson1188 3 роки тому +2

    In the beginning there were measurements for calves and thigh, do you increase for the calves and thigh? I don’t think I heard you say increase. Or once you pass the heel portion you just continue in the round? Asking for us plus size women that have 19in calves and 26in thighs 🤦🏾‍♀️

    • @KnottybySelassie
      @KnottybySelassie  3 роки тому +3

      Hey 👋🏾 my gorgeously thick Michaelia, when it comes to getting the size you want for the calf and thigh you do not need to increase, all you need to do is go up in hook size so switch from the 5.5Mm to a 6.5Mm 👌🏾😉

    Hi! When you’re measuring the 4 inches, that should include the two non increase rows correct? I’m following along but with size 4 yarn and 4mm hook and making a sock for a present for an 8.5 foot and it’s looking massive. Should I go down to a 3.5 or a 3 since my yarn is a heavier weight?

    • @KnottybySelassie
      @KnottybySelassie  3 роки тому +3

      Hey 👋🏾😉 and yes when you are using a larger yarn weight, you can use still use the 3.75Mm, it it still appears to be too big then move down to either a 3.5Mm or 3.25Mm. Hope this helps 😉

I hope that makes sense.
