Also a sacrifice technique (what the boy did) isnt all that hard. Also there are many counters to that thing including pinning the person who did the technique.(After all its not called a sacrifice throw for nothing)

I’m a green belt in judo (4th rank) and that technique seems to be called “Tomoe nagi” (I think that’s how you spell it) it’s the move you see in action movies a lot. If you score this in a match you automatically win, as it is an Ipon (one point) you score an Ipon, you win the match. Although normally you’d learn this at to earn your green belt (assuming you started at the age of 5)
As a fellow judoka I learned my sacrifice throws at a early age due to training circumstances and to get the edge on less experienced opponents. And yes you can score a ippon with this SOMETIMES I do agree with your statement on every aspect apart from the automatic win. There are many variants to the technique and they all come with their own pros and cons. However the grab the left arm to escape the throw is abit of bs in my opinion. It’s a lot easier to cartwheel off or just to flip mid air

Interesting. For me, I don't do martial arts anymore. I used to join taekwondo as my extracurricular back in 1st grade but that was the only time I studied the martial art (I quit and moved to badminton afterwards until the end of elementary because I became interested with the sport).

When I was younger I was sad because I felt different than everyone else. When you young if you are different you dont feel comfortable. So I was crying a lot because I just wanted to be someone ordinary, liking ordinary stuff
