Hi there..... So... a year and a day after you posted this video, I came across it on youtube! First, let me start by saying thanks for sharing!! Second, I was wondering if you will do a 1 year review of your experiences with flying your cinelifter! Im considering either buying one or building one myself. SoI wanted to know what were your thoughts after one year. That is if you still use it of course. Thanks and happy 2022!!
Hey Alex, thanks for checking it out. I didn't use the Thicc much but the Siccario I built I've used quite a bit starting not too long ago. Been flying the Freefly Wave a bunch, might do a review on that setup
How do you planning on pulling focus for the GH5? You need an additional operator or a camera with usable autofocus. Check out all of Nurks test footage with the the thicc/sicario and komodo/pocket4k/bgh1. All his footage (even on vimeo) looks like garbage because its just locked on infinity focus and none of these cameras have the autofocus to keep up with the speed and quck movement changes of a drone. Still waiting to see a7siii footage from an FPV style drone. Great autofocus, built in gyro stabilization, best in class dynamic range and almost no rolling shutter. Best of luck to your project!
Thanks mate! Yeah the autofocus on the lumix cameras isn't great. The A7siii is a fantastic camera with great autofocus (this video was filmed with one) but it's quite pricy so I wouldn't want to try risky shots. I'm still looking at different options. Zcam looks interesting though.
Subbed! Looking to build this myself so I'm stoked to follow this progress! Filming on two a7iii's so even more pumped that your not flying the box style cams
It's quite the build haha, at least for me. Wish you the best of luck mate! I have an A7siii I've been thinking about throwing on and using Catalyst. But first gotta figure out the video issue, waiting on more parts to come in.
I think it might be because the power and ground wires for the vtx are running over the top of the escs directly to the lipo. Gonna add a 12v BEC and see if it gets fixed. But yeah dude that was scary af haha
It's a little on the older side but it has aged well. There's not that many cameras that can do 1080p 180fps. If you're looking to get something more future proof, I would invest in something better but the gh5 is still a great option
Typically you want to avoid anything with ibis for fpv. The sensor can't handle the gforce and can mess up steadxp. Even with ibis turned off the sensor can still move around while flying. Bmpcc4k is good, I think it's called the Panasonic bg1 (not sure) is good, and I think z cam is a good option.
I was nervous for you when you threw the GH5 on there!😲
Bruh I was so scared when the video started cutting out and my GH5 was on 😬😬😬
Great Niko. Amazing flying. Enjoy your new super quad!
Thanks bro! Still a few things I need to tweak but it should be up and running at 100% pretty soon here

Please, for the love of god, tell me you tested it in your living room without the props!
Dope dude im right behind you 💯
what's the name of the accessory you mounted on the gh5 for the gyro ??
Steadxp

My eyes go wide when people say they test builds like this indoors 😱😱
Haha whats the worst thing that could happen 😂😛 As long as you put your props on correctly you should be good
@@NikoFilmz I've shown my hand as being someone who wires things wrong and has quads freak out on first arm 🤐🤐
@@BadLuckFPV I don't trust my wiring either haha, that's why I always arm without props for the first time
@@NikoFilmz same. But sometimes I put props on and the quads whole attitude changes 👽
@@BadLuckFPV Hahaha I like that 😈
I smell a collaboration coming 😈
Have any ideas broski?
Great video! Wish you would have shown the gh5 footage. Overall, crazy build!
Thank you! I would have shown more gh5 footage but it didn't turn out great because of the vibrations. Need to dampen the mount somehow.
@@NikoFilmz ah okay 👌🏼
so dope
Thanks dude 👊
What kind of battery is that?
Tattu 4000mah 6s
Yo that video cut out with the GH5 on top gave me a heart attack! What do you think is causing the video interference? Need more capacitors?
I think it might be because the power and ground wires for the vtx are running over the top of the escs directly to the lipo. Gonna add a 12v BEC and see if it gets fixed. But yeah dude that was scary af haha
Try twisting all the wires to the vtx together to reduce electrical noise. That usually does it
@@aidanfarley9566 Yup that's another thing that I didn't do haha, def something I'll fix
Hey man what tune are you using for it
IBIS in the GH5 is a deal breaker. Chip is susceptible to uncorrectable vibrations. Move to GH5S or GH4 for superior results.
Nice video bro~
Haha thanks so much 🙏❤️
When the video was cutting out with the GH5 on my heart sank into the underwear. How come you're not flying digital?!
I fly a lot of long range, I like to waterproof my quads, and I like to have more control over my video feed
@@NikoFilmz by your comment along, I have a crapton to learn about digital vs. analog.
Great build! Which FC do you use? *sub*
Thanks! I use the Lumenier Lux7 🤙
Need that dji home boy!
I know dude, just got a few air units
@@NikoFilmz building with them is so nice too!
@@AeRmeVoL Yeah I need to throw it on a drone already haha
These things are a kit?
круто!!! потрясающая грузподьемность и мобильность!!! Like!!
Спасибо!! Надеюсь скоро буду использовать для настоящих сёомок 🤙
Damn, do you think it's a good idea to buy a GH5 now? Not only for FPV (i don't even have a cinelifter...yet 😅)

@@nickxc agree, and the Red Komodo 👍
@@nickxc Yes, I'm starting to lean towards getting the zcam
so you use a single battery? What is your setup?
Yes, just a Tattu 4000mah 6s
@@NikoFilmz thanks for answering. what is your PDB?
@@NikitaGarets I didn't use a PDB. Just 2 4in1 Xrotor ESCs
Nice
Thanks 🙏
you need dji fpv
Yeah that would be nice haha
don't tell folks you tested in the living room!!! without a disclaimer
bruh
What's good
