If I ever have a boyfriend who says I'm not allowed to talk to my guy friends, he gets to see my middle finger and hear words come out of my mouth that I rarely say, but that you hear at my school a lot. Also known as cuss words. I do what I want. If he told me he'd hurt himself if I broke up with him, I'd just say "I. Don't. Care. If you love me THAT much, you wouldn't be treating me so horribly, you jerk." I'm obviously stubborn. You try and make me do something I don't wanna do? I'll do the opposite JUST to annoy you. No boy will ever be able to boss me around, or tell me what to do (even if they're being nice about it). Not even my closest guy friend, my "brother". If I do it, it's 'cause I decided I wanted to do it. NOT 'cause he told me to. I am NOT a girl you can put on a leash and expect to not fight back. I may be 13, but I have a mind of my own and I will NOT be bossed around. I'm glad you broke up with the stupid jerk.

I may not know you but trust me, you mean more to people than you will ever know. You never know how much you love someone until they're gone. I learnt that the hard way. Whether you have an eating disorder, mental illness, you get anxiety or even if you 'think' you are fat. There will always be someone for you. Whether you've found them yet or not. Notice how I put the focus on 'think' you are fat. One persons definition of fat is another's definition of perfection.
Just because you don't fit societies definition of perfection doesn't mean you're worthless.
Please next time you reach for a blade. Look at your scars. Place your hand on your chest. You're here for a reason. Make friends with the people that show you that reason

I am 15 as of the time I am posting this, and I have never had any girlfriends at any point in my life so far, But I can safely say that you have the right to say "no" and end a relationship with someone when it is getting out of hand and making you scared. My step dad was abusive to my mother I hated him so much he eventually walked out on us and I vowed that if I ever see him I will beat the shit outta. This isn't to make you feel bad but for you to know not all guys are like that the good ones are the ones that have dealt with this kinda thing and that are able to handle it with others.

This reminds me of my ex boyfriend. He never abused me but he was badly abused by the girl he dated after me. From what he told me, she was just like the abusive boyfriend in this story. She had some sort of serious mental disorder (I can't remember which one) and she was a massive control freak. She would often verbally and sometimes physically abuse him. He eventually broke up with her but he's still scarred from the abuse and it's going to take him a while to fully recover. Girls and guys, if you ever find yourself in an abusive relationship, GET OUT RIGHT AWAY! No asshole or bitch is worth ruining your life!

One piece of advice. Don't get into a trap where you feel like only a man can protect you. You need to protect yourself at all times. I can't stress this enough. You must be self reliant so you never are in the position you were in with the abusive male that hurt you. You're not stupid. Never say that and never put all your eggs in one basket.

Well this is about a boyfriend though so yeah.. If it was the commenters father/grandfather etc she should have said so. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought this. Anyhow... My youngest son is in 7th grade, he would get his ass whipped if he pulled something like this. I'm so thankful my 4 are raised to respect others. Tasnim Rahman actually sometimes it does like if a miner ( apologize If I didn't spell it right I'm only in the sixth grade ) marries or has a relationship with a non miner then the non miner would be in deep shit ( in less the "lovers" are less then four years apart ) , my sister was raped when she was six or seven by my eleven year old cousin , that was seven years ago today my sister is fourteen and a freshman in highschool and my disgusting cousin is eighteen or nineteen , he was sent down from his dad's because he was touching his step sister or half sister in inappropriate places , we tried taking him to court but he isnt a miner or almost isn't a miner so we couldn't and it happened on my birthday also my neighbor got a four-wheeler rolled on top of her and that also happend on my birthday I had the crappiest birthday ever ! non of my friends came ( I'm sorry for this random story but I had to get it out because If I tell anyone at my school it will get spread around and knowing the assholes who think they are all that , they would change things and embarrass me in front of my crush)

We're not allowed to see or talk to our grandfather or grandmother,and my dad goes to meetings every week to stop drinking and the CPS Offices are giving my family more food to eat whenever we need it.
(We're not allowed to see or talk to our grandmother because she's still married to our grandfather.) She's going to divorce him once he gets found guilty of child sexual abuse of 3 children (me,my older sister,and my other older sister)

You poor girl! I’m so glad you found the strength (and the help) to get free of him. Don’t call yourself stupid; you’re just a normal, trusting person who found herself in a horrible situation.
What makes men (or women, for that matter) become abusers? Do they actually enjoy it, or are they themselves caught up in a bizarre scenario that they don’t know how to stop? I think there needs to be a lot more research into this issue.
But the main thing is that victims need to understand that it’s not their fault, they are not alone, and they CAN get help.

I went through the same stuff when I was 22.I married a guy who turned into a monster after I said I do.Two months after that day,I said I don't and filed for divorce.He had a rude awakening when he discovered I hit back.I'm so glad I didn't let him keep victimizing me but I feel sorry for the others that would cross his path after I got myself free.I'm so glad you got out. :)

(not my friend anymore) my friend's boyfriend said that I was not a allowed to hang out with my friends I just said fuck you, I can do want, I told his girlfriend and mum that what he had said to me they didn't believe me 😔 the a couple days after he came to my house cause I was home alone in my room (I didn't know he was in house) he came in my room and said to break up with my boyfriend but I said no so he had raped me I was terrified for myself, I told his dad, he believed me and he talk to him and his mother and he said he had not been around my place for a while but he didn't know who to believe he wanted to help me, as well as my boyfriend, my own mum won't believe me this was the second time I had been raped me being raped for the first time was by my stepfather that my mom was dating for year when I was in grade 4 and by my ex friend's boyfriend this year in grade 9 we are both 14

Wow. That's all I have to say. I've never been in an abusive relationship, but I can tell this was so much harder than people know. People probably look at this and say "Man, she went through done terrible stuff." And they don't even know the have of it. You are definitely a stronger person than most. Personally, I would have told someone right away, but I can understand it being hard to do. You are an inspiration to girls, and probably even boys, everywhere. Km so glad you are okay now. Being a girl in the seventh grade, I'm right around where "he" was and j just can't imagine any boy I know doing that at my age. I'm happy to see you're staying strong.

Wether she was 13 or 30 it doesn't matter because she was abused and felt worthless. I had the same thing happen to me for 6 years it was my step brother it first started when I was six years old and it stopped once I turned 13 because my dad found out and kicked him out I know what you went through I still cry my self to sleep everyday and every time I look at my self in the mirror I say to my self your worthless nobody loves you you should just kill your self but I didn't and your so brave for speaking up... because I could never do what you did thank you for everything!❤

Unfortunately, I went thru similar circumstances.. The relationship began December 2010, I ended it May 2014. He wouldnt leave me alone..called/text constantly..he started showing up at my family&friends houses, even at my work..
I ended up having to quit my job, & I moved away w my mom, 1 & a half hours away from my home town.. Ive finally started living MY life :)
Occasionally, I still have to deal with my ex. It's hard, ecpecially bc he was in my life&controlling me for 4+ years..
Reading your story has inspired me to (continue) staying away from him.

I was abused by my boyfriend earlier this year. It started fine, as they always do, then he became manipulative. He began telling me what to wear, said I couldn’t have friends, and when I bought things for my collections he thought they should’ve gone to him. Then he started sexually abusing me... and raped me. But he was a master at manipulation, and I stayed with him. It wasn’t until summer that I left, and I am still not fully over it.
