Going to buy it rn! Thx!
R u filming at six flags over ga
What if I have fast past
Pro tip: become friends with someone who has a disability and ride every ride with no line.
Doesn't work where i live. 😅 I need to wait in a different place but they only allow people with a disability every couple of rides based on how long the actual line is so I need to wait for an equal amount of time.. Just in a less crowded area. 😂
I have a disability so we do that every time at Disney lol
I HAVE AIDS!!!
"AIDS! AIDS! I got AIDS! Comin' through, I got AIDS!"
cedar point doesnt give a fuck if you have a disability 😭
Usually good advice-some parks stagger ride openings so rides farthest from the main gate open later.
Yeah can confirm valleyfair did that
I can confirm Six Flags Great America does NOT do this.
I can confirm Disneyland in my country do this.
silverwood in northern idaho doesn’t do this
Can confirm Busch Gardens Florida does this
At Hersheypark, I recommend starting at the back of the park and work your way up. What I do and works like a charm everytime
The only issue is, the person who designed Hersheypark was a dumbass and made the walk to Lightning Racer a freaking 5k
I hit laff trakk first because it has long waits even when the park opened 10 minutes ago
At Hershey as I’m typing this, we did this and it worked pretty well. Most people were either at the water park or on the big rollercoasters.
@@imcrxzywhat ride did you start with, and what was ur second so i know where to go next?
heading to hershey again today and absolutely always do this. i usually head over to storm runner and jolly rancher remix early and ride them with no wait
I thought of this but like that means I am gonna be going on the scary rides first!
That’s not a very nice thing to say is it
@@shellylavelle4480 wdym its not a very nice thing, roller coaster and g force are meant be scary, thats the point of rides
The thrill level of rides isnt really associated with positioning in the park
Another great tip is to go left instead of right. Approximately 90% of people are right-handed, and will subsequently go right at most split paths.
Really?
@Third Eye Survivor Yes, if you are right-dominant, you are more likely to go right at a split path. Let's use Hersheypark, for example. Upon entering the park, a vast majority of guests will either ride Candymonium or turn right into Comet Hollow. They will subsequently ride everything in Comet Hollow, Kissing Tower Hill, and Pioneer Frontier. For the first hour or two of the day, almost everything in Pioneer Frontier and Midway America has a 5 to 10 minute wait because almost everyone is either in The Boardwalk or went to the right upon entering. The few people who go left can breeze through half the rides in an hour.
I was going to type this tip too. Kinda the same as the front to back at beginning of video but this one is just the perpendicular.
This one will nearly always bite you in the butt if the park is crowded and it's 2-way traffic, because instead of moving on the right side with the crowd, you're going against the traffic of the people going the other way who also chose to go right. It's interesting psychology and always worth trying, but I've almost never found this to be a time-saver when it's crowded in a park (or anywhere else).
Except for Islands of Adventure where they try to steer guests to the left, towards marvel land.
If you told me that a week ago..
Went to BGT 30 minutes after opening, and got a 30-minute wait for Iron Gwazi (literally 100m from the entrance). All the middle/back rides were walk-on, like Montu, Kumba, Cheetah Hunt, Cobra's Curse, SheiKra, Tigris, etc. When I came back to Iron Gwazi at 3PM, it was only 5 minutes.
Ehh, iron gwazi usually gets a much longer wait mid-day. I’d rope drop that to save you some time. Ignore Kumba. Go to Montu, Cobra, or Tigris. Avoid cheetah hunt. You can return later in the day for a MUCH shorter line. Kumba isnt a priority. Thing never has a line near park close. Even then, the line is always short
Same thing happen to me a couple days ago
Or go on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and never have to worry about the lines. Unless you go to a place like Disney, you're usually going to be able to ride as many rides as you want in a single day if you go on a weekend.
Also, Labor Day is AMAZING. Cedar Point is one of the most popular amusement parks in the world and they're never busy on Labor Day.
Yes! I have been a pass holder at Kings Island in Ohio for many seasons and have always said the same thing. Go on a Tuesday,Wednesday, or Thursday around 3:00 (even better with a chance of rain) and you will walk right on most rides. Went last Thursday, around 6:30pm, 60% chance of rain, and rode 6 coasters, a couple of them twice. Not a single drop of rain either!
When did you go on Labor Day? I went to Cedar Point on Labor Day many years ago, and it was worse than the previous times I've gone there, and those times were in the middle of the summer.
The front rides tip doesn’t always work, still it’s a good one
Yeah, it only works if you're there when the gates open.
if the park has a back entrance like cedar point just go to that instead
This does *not* apply to Universal, Islands of Adventure, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom. Universal/Islands of Adventure: Everyone heads to Harry Potter (which in both parks is near the back of the park). Magic Kingdom: Everyone heads to TRON. The best advice is to find which ride is the most popular, and do that ride first at rope drop THEN, find the second most popular, etc.
As someone returning from Universal, cannot agree more. Everyone flocks towards Hagrid's roller coaster.
Yeah at Disneyland everyone has been running to Rise of the Resistance at rope drop so much so that if you don’t break the sound barrier to the line is already an hour at 8:15! I always try to go for Indiana Jones or Space Mountain! When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens it’s going to be chaos that direction!
Unless it’s Elitch Gardens, then you’re just waiting for a ride that’s going to break down 🥱
Bro does not consider that cedar point has 4 entrances all throughout the park
That would matter if this video were about Cedar Point, but it’s about parks in general and most have one entrance.
@@scottnelson9 I get it. I’m not tryna hate on the guy I’m just tryna make a joke
Schrodingers joke.
Go in may/early June if possible or in the late summer because there will be fewer crowds, also rainy/cold or really hot days
going after a rainstorm is the best option at my local park. they shut down rides for the weather and it makes the tourists think their plans just got rained out, so they leave. after the storm passes, the rides open back up, and sometimes the lines are so short l, they will let you stay on the rides for a 2nd, third, forth,or more laps.
Pro Tip: You don't need a guide to plan a trip to a theme park. There are plenty of free resources to help so save your cash
Generally a good idea. However there are exceptions. If I'm there at opening I probably go to the newest ride cuz I can most likely get on rather quickly and then proceed to the back.
Another tip is not to have your phone on a roller coaster 🎢
Wait why? Because with zipper pockets it isn’t a issue
What I usually do when the gate opens, I run the most popular attraction to be one of the first to ride it. Then, when we get off, we go the back and work our way from back to front depending on the waiting times. Most theme parks have those rides that have 1 hour wait thought out the day, so doing it at the start really helps getting most out of the day.
lol, I usually get to the gate in the evening when most of the tourists are leaving. I then casually meander to a bar in the back of the park and chill for a few hours while enjoying good beer. After that, I meander around the park and do what I feel like doing. sometimes I only ride one ride, sometimes I ride more. perks of living 30 minutes away and having a season pass.
I love the bat at Lagoon. It’s so much fun, I just wish the ride was a bit longer it’s kinda short
Kings Dominion actually doesn’t have any coasters in the middle of the park. They kind of form a ring around the park and three of the best coasters in the back.
I wish Volcano worked. I got lucky and got to ride it one time before the offically closed it for good. Really fun ride. Sad they couldn't keep it running.
If they all read your stratgues they are all going to do the same thing.🤔
That works for amusement parks aka rollercoaster parks. It doesn't necessarily work for theme parks like Disney or Universal.
This video is a good generalization for the majority of parks. He wasn’t talking about Disney or Universal specifically.
For Disney just buy Genie plus else you're fucked
Cedar point having entrances at the front and back of the park makes the idea to start in the middle great
The back one I believe is only for people staying at that hotel tho
People actually rush to the most popular rides first thing in the morning to try and beat the crowd.
As a pro going to Canadas wonderland over 5 years now I can confirm this is somewhat true it also works if your going to try get food because in lunch the line is going to be ultra long and you don’t want to wait
I love that Silverwood Park has a Coaster Alley Entrance. It lets you skip some shops and dinning to get to the coasters faster.
I thought everyone knew this, i always arrive early, go to the back, do all the rides there (they have like a 5 min wait time lol) and then do the popular ones at the end
Why would you do the popular ones at the end wouldn’t they be crowded?
A tip to go along with this video: If you want to go to Super Nintendo World in Universal Hollywood get power up bands in Universal CityWalk the day before (if you're in the area) so you can get in the line for the ride immediately!
Literally did this at Busch Gardens yesterday and the wait time was only 5 min. I’m just now seeing this video after lol
This is exactly what I did at Magic Mountain with my friends, it worked
I’m going to Disney land this summer so I will definitely be needing that book lol
I dont know why seeing the ride wicked at my hometown amusement park made me so happy 😭😭😭
I went to bush gardens this past Monday, and only a to wait a long time for one ride. The ride i had to wait for was the new one.
Darkoaster?
@@kazeryu17 yes
i cannot be the only one who got excited when they saw a ride from the theme park closest to them 😭
This is what i do because i always get there so early. I got front row on about 3 rides before the horde made its way to the back and then the waits were horrible. 😂
My habit has always been heading towards the coasters when I entered the park😊
At Disney, my mom pretended that she had a crippling fear of lines so we got on without a wait
POV: everybody listens to this video and now the middle of the theme park is filled up😂
That's a big win for me. the middle of my local theme park is a boardwalk at the bottom of a very deep gorge. unless you're very athletic, your legs will be jello once you make it back up the other side.
My mum and I did this at Disney World. We stayed at a Disney hotel so we got in an hour before the general public. We did a couple rides at the entrance but then booked it further in, worked our way towards the back, and then by the time those areas started to get crowded we returned to the front and those rides weren't crowded anymore.
at islands of adventure i always run to hagrids motorbike adventure, and still have a 1-2 hour wait.
I saw wicked at lagoon for a brief moment, and wicked is my home theme park
This is always what I do at Alton towers start at dark forest as it’s pretty close to the front but not as close as wicker man and x sector, get a few rides then head to forbidden valley as it’s so far from the entrance it takes a while to get busy
I’ve found this tactic to work at every park except Disneyland. At Disneyland, a lot of people go to either Tomorrowland or galaxy’s edge first, so my tactic is to go early and get on Indiana, pirates, big thunder, haunted mansion first since they’re all in like one area. Also, use single rider if you don’t mind going separate because it’s really helpful during peak times
We always started at the back and work our way back to the front. Middle to back to front is a good idea to get even more rides! Thanks!
and then there’s cedar point where no matter what day of the week it is the main rides will always have a 2 hour + wait! and then when you actually spend the time waiting for the ride, 9 times out of 10 it’ll just break down anyways and all that time will be for nothing! and then halfway through your visit you finally get on a ride and it’s over in like a minute and you question every decision you ever made!! this is my home park and this is almost always the experience i have lmao
Facts! At CP, I knocked steel vengeance, dragster, and maverick out first. Even with a Fastlane plus pass, they would be crowded later in the day.
This can also change with park layout. At Kings Island the method that worked was very back of park first, since there aren't many coasters in the "middle" of the park.
Whenever I visit Orlando, I always make sure to visit Rise of the Resistance at the time of the day a lot of people are getting lunch and naps in. With Universal, I always skip Hagrid since I know that line is poppin as soon as Hogsmeade opens.
Another pro tip is to stay until the park closes. Ride waits significantly de reason around 8:30-closing time so this is the time you’ll be able to get on the most rides
Seeing Lagoon so casually made me smile!
Pro tip. At some parks, your pretty much guaranteed a ride (even after the park closes, unless the ride breaks down) if you make it past the que entrance before the park closes.
Thank you for saying this after I went to six flags 🥲💀
ahhh twisted cyclone and the end!! that’s at my local theme park (six flags over georgia) i looove that ride!!
I love to see clips of Lagoon! Great coasters they have
Best day to go to an amusement park is when it has rained all night the night before and continues to rain until about 10am the day of your visit and then the rain unexpectedly stops. Most families and people will cancel their plans thinking it's a wash out. But you've taken the chance and will be rewarded with a line free day.
This taught me how stupid most people are. You just have to think a little ahead to the crowd to win
With parks with less coasters like SDC just start all the way in the back and work your way up, I get so many rides on outlaw run doing that
Omg I went to lagoon yesterday! It’s so cool seeing all its rides in this video too lol
First mistake… going to theme parks in the summer! Want to wait 2 hours in a que 😂
With my disabilities I get free fastrack so I can start off anywhere :)
You can get a disability pass, but if a park gives you a fast pass then they either have shit management or don’t have good employees
@@WCfanboy I'm in uk so I just show my ride access id at any park operated by merlin entertainments and I get ride access pass but on my last visit on one ride this prick told me I need a adult to care for you even though I'm 15 over the age limit just because it was marked red so he asked someone behind me with ride access pass if they can "care for him" they said yea even though they don't give a flying bird about it and on another ride called Saw the ride he signs my ride access pass and sends me through single rider like wtf ride access pass is for guests that can't queue for long etc I just crawled underneath the fence to the main queue where fast track get sent through and main queue where they get through onto the ride in about 5 minutes on that day I really wanted to just punch them in there jaws like I queued for ride access pass not single rider and still get sent through single rider queue with disabilities with him signing my ride access pass I swear I really just wanted to kill him I just had these thoughts about me beating the fuck out of him.
Omg I was not expecting to see Lagoon rides in here (wicked and the bat) my man’s cultured fr
Yup that’s what I do at every theme park. Same as I do with shopping though. If I’m going to Atlanta for instance, I will go to the farthest shop first and then work my way north back up to mom’s house.
I did this at universal. My mom and I have early Park passes but we got there around 8:50 when universal opens at 9. We wanted to get in the velosicoaster(I think that's how it's spelled)line but it had just been delayed. So we waited in line to get into the parts of the park that opens at 9 and we walked all the way to ripsaw falls. We went through the normal line despite me going on alone and I was on the ride all by myself because no one else was there except a family catching up in line behind us. Everyone either went to velosicoaster, Jurassic Park, or King Kong. The other side probably stayed in Harry Potter land and/or the Avenger comics area. And because it was a water ride no one wants to get wet early, but it's a plus for me because it keeps me from getting nauseous by staying cool in the florida heat
big theme parks like universal and disney people tend to go to the more popular rides like velocicoaster and hagfish’s adventures which are both pretty much in the back of universal
I did this for gradbash all thanks to my friend. While we were at ioa, everyone was at universal and the park had 10 min wait times. Then when we crossed over, mostly everyone left and we got to go on over 7 diff rides and stop for food :) hope this helps.
No way my theme park in the middle of nowhere achieved it in here
Just went with 10 friends to Thorpe Park with two disability passes. Staff members didnt care abt the extra 2 that weren’t allowed as one disability pass = 3 other people. Made it through 11 rides in total within 7 hours.
Go in the vacation time for schools. Most families are on vacation leaving the parks pretty much empty.
I've managed to do ALL my favourite rides TWICE. For 2 MAJOR theme parks in my country because of this.
My thing when I was a kid with my cousins we always aimed for the rides that have the longest wait time rather than what was nearest to the park. Would be shocked if that was always the case.
I went to Kennywood last Thursday and we got a disability thing after a few rides at the front, and the lines for Sky Rocket and Old Mill were long because they are at the front of the park. I’ll try to keep this in mind next time.
The one time this tip doesn't work is when theirs a new coaster and especially if it just opened. Like the start of the season. Then people will go to that first and ride whats near it. What I like to do in this case is go to the opposite side of the park, and start their. I then work my way to the new ride. I've gotten on new rides on opening day with little to no wait going on it around lunch time or a little after. Most people go on the new ride right away and at night to get a night ride. So your best bet is mid day when most people are riding other rides or eating food.
Went to cedar point last October and went for steel vengeance when the park opened that day and there was very little to no line at all I usually start in the back of the park then work my way forward.
At Carowinds there is almost zero lines when it is hot but the rides cool you down
Yup I agree. I work at a theme park mainly the back. And it is normally dead for a good 30-45 minutes. After that a huge crowd comes running for the back. So start in the middle back then end at the front.
Also don’t stay till the parks closes. The traffic is awful and it takes the employees over 2 hours to clean their store. And don’t try to run in at the last minute. We hate that.
I mean they payed for the whole day lol..
Ok I will leave 2 hours early for employees to take a break and nkt do their Job
I'll stay til closing, to help ensure there are more employment opportunities for those who aren't lazy, and actually want to work a full day to bring some cash home.
This is true: I went to cedar point a month ago and the first one we did was millennium force
Bro just caused everyone to walk to the end and middle of the park, causing a long wait
I did this when I visited Six Flags Magic mountain with my friends, and got to ride West Coast Racers 3 times that day
Kinda hard to do this at Kings Island cause there isn’t really a front and back of the park because all the coasters are basically at the back of the park except for Banshee, Bat, Adventure Express and Invertigo
First tip cannot work in all parks. More and more parks are following the model of Busch Gardens Williamsburg and opening different parts of the park at different (consecutive) times. Meaning further back areas are closed to the public until those times.
at wonderland everyone just runs to the big 3 rides
We went to universal, right after the new hagrid ride came out and we thought "Let's go first before everyone else." Everyone went right to the hagrid ride.
As lagoon employee you should head to bat forst for the credit puff is also one you want to hit early or late the line gets long thoughout the day
Plot twist: everyone follows the book and now there is no people at the front
Great advice!
FYI Ghostrider is NOT gonna have a shorter wait if you plan to do this at Knott's, you're gonna have to suck it up
I'd recommend just wait till you've done everything and hit Ghostrider last. Awesome night ride and it won't delay you for anything else
@@Lloyd00 Nope even on dead days you're waiting at least 30 minutes due to its terrible ops
@@hellacia8151 I didn't say you weren't gonna wait. I said you won't be delayed since you've already done everything else
Depends on the Park. At Disneyland rope droppers always crowd around Peter Pan. Dead center in the park lol. I like to head to the back of the park
So a couple weeks ago, we went to Kings Island and got there around 9:30ish and we have gold passes so we were able to get in early, there was not many people there and the first ride we rode was Mystic Timbers, there was no wait and we got to sit in the front so that was nice. Also happened on Flying Ace Aerial Chase
What I do is we go to a theme park and most people go to the water park first and we go to the rides and there’s no line
You just released this to the public now everybody's going to follow your tip
At busch gardens tampa i would recommend just to get a ride on iron gwazi then make your way to the middle then the back
Except for hagrids Motorbike coaster. Every one likes that ride😂
I mean, it depends on the layout. At six flags new England the two biggest rides that everyone wants to go on are at the back of the park. Thwy fill up immediately no matter what because they're the ones that always have a huge wait so everyone wants to get there first. Im sure for bigger parks with more coasters its different though. Ive literally only been to that one park sadly. One day i hope to go to more.
Pro tip (I have done this in some parks not all)
If you do not want to pay for food go before you go make some food and get a cooler and put food in there and when your ready to eat just get a stamp or have a ticket ETC and once your done eating you can go into the park
this has always worked really well at cedar point for me
Also some parks have side entrances that less people know about
I always start at the back and work towards the middle.
Absolutely! Or ask an employee which rides have the longest waits during the day. I did that when I went to a new park and ended up having to walk to the far back..I was basically all alone..lol
If I enter the park at the opening hour (which usually I don't) I go first to the rides I know have the longest lines. And in any case I go with an empty stomach, no breakfast, so first I ride the most intense ones and then I eat.
@ParkPros have you ever been to Hershy park? I live on the east coast and it would be really cool to see you ride them!
30 theme parks!!! DUDE ADOPT ME🙏
