Saturday morning cartoon I used to watch this.
Should still be played in schools today. Than people would realize this is happening today with our government.
I remember watching this television series back in the 1980s when a network called ABC or Philadelphia channel 6 once played this program when I was done a young boy because I really like when they have all the educational shows on this video talking about the history and everything and I like the way the people sung including this one called no more kings which shows a bunch of English people ceiling to the Americas from England to settle into North America NHL all the 13 colonies had formed.
Better breakup song than anything Taylor Swift has written
No disrespect on mrs.swift
I agree!!! 😋🤣
Thomas Jefferson: You are treating us like subjugates. We are citizens of the Crown, and should have representation in The House of Lords AND Commons!
George III: You know what? You have a point. Let's do it. The frontier colonies shall designate delegates and send them here to keep us appraised of how our brothers abroad view our affairs.
Thomas Jefferson: Uh, really?
George III: Sure.
Thomas Jefferson: OK. Huh, that was easy.
George III: Indeed. Do you like our new wig? We just got it.
(Fast forward to ALT-2022, where Mike Brannon is speaking with a British accent, wearing a bowler hat, sipping tea, and constantly dreading that he'd be perceived as "making a fuss." Oh, and Indianapolis is "New Ipswitchfordshire" now.)
my sweet sweet childhood :)
Of course, no one thinks of how weird it is to have a throne right on the shoreline like that.
I loved school house rock. Looking at it now it was very basic stripped down history. On this one, no mention of Jamestown or Native Americans.
Well duh, the song is about the king and why we don’t have one. Those are details for another song.
Brings back all those memeries in 5th grade when i watched this :) those were the days now its seventh grade and all it is is drama...
I saw an article about this while looking it up from distant memories as a kid. The article went on to say it’s “problematic” because it didn’t have enough “negative connotations” to American history. God forbid people were proud of their history. Christ.
How much information could they cram into a three-minute song?
@@davidlafleche1142 That’s true but besides the point, Europeans are the only people in the world who are forced to hate their history. No other group has “negative connotations” about their heritage in their books. It’s purely a western idea that stems from hatred.
Graduating tomorrow with a BA in Political Science and I’m pretty sure my obsession with Social Studies Schoolhouse Rock videos is what led me here :)
Happy 4th of July everyone 🇺🇸
The US Supreme Court just said that they want more kings.
Not if WE THE PEOPLE have anything to say about it!!
We currently have essentially a monarchy running things right now. Why is someone running the country who was not elected to do so? What, Jill is running the country now? Or is it Hunter? That sure looks and sounds pretty "we want a king" to me.
That's not how it works.
Can someone please make MAGA watch this info on American history
Actually it is you that need the real education. Obviously your education was an indoctrination because it seems that it describing Biden and his administration who are the one's who are violating the constitution and not the Megas or the Supreme Court. Because the Biden administration seems to thing they don't need to obey the constitution and do whatever they want to. So congratulations on showing your stupidity.
Mate I have seen this plenty, still think trump is a decent option.
@@theloneranger1823 well insanity is a serious problem, please seek help
@@jesuschristpose896 That's exactly what I hear people saying about liberals. I have determined that everyone is a jerk in politics. Liberals are @ssholes sometimes, and republicans are too. The whole lot is filled pricks and jerks and idiots who think they know everything. You know why? Because people as a whole are jerks often times. Not because of their politics, but because they are human.
this melody is my jammmmmm broooooooooooooooooooooo
