    The book got me without sleep for 2 days until I read it. Amazing... I was crying at the end The best part after I read the book was.. I was so emotional and crying and just couldn't help but think whan an extraordinary life he had, I felt blessed to be his fan and sad at the same time that he is gone. I read it and right after that I had to go to take my driving lesson. Like 5-10 minutes after I got in the car the radio blasted MJ's Black and White song - something that rarely happens. I naively want to think this was not coincidental. Thank you, Frank, for being there for him.

    He's one of the loyal friend of MJ, and he witnessed the life of MJ, toward those evil accusing Michael. He knew who Michael was, as an innocent man, generous, kind, loving, caring and a great humanitarian. I miss Michael so much. He's truly a pure heart.

    Thanks again Luna...I know some folks question Frank Cascio and his sincerity but I thank you for bringing up this topic of drugs and Michael! Some ppl genuinely have illnesses and accidents etc where they need strong pain medications. I too agree that I'm sure there were times when Michael needed them. The concert that Frank is referring to is on youtube where Michael falls on a bridge that collapsed. I wish ppl would understand not everyone that needs pain meds is a drug abuser. Love

    This book is very good. Jermaine Jackson's book is very good. Between the two books, you get a very excellent and REAL idea of who Michael Jackson was from people who actually knew him. The books will answer EVERY question you ever had about Michael. Trust me on that.

    Frank was implicated in mj's last trial as a "co-conspirator" by the D.A., in an effort by the prosecution to keep him from defending MJ publicly, but he still did lol. A lot of friends and family were respectfully told by MJ NOT to speak for him during the trial proceedings, although he greatly appreciated it

      +ann landers How all these people talk about Michael and sex. You would think they wish they could have sex with him. I can not believe how many people worry more about if MJ ever got laid in his life time. Who he has been with, and has he ever made love to a woman? Unfrickin real !! We live in such a sex fixated society.

    • @michael9000
      @michael9000 8 років тому +4

      +ann landers If Michael invited me to Neverland, and I started asking him a lot of personal questions like that one, right off the bat. I wouldn't blame him if he never ask me there again. After becoming his best friend, that he felt that he can trust, and he feels he wanted to open up and tell me things, fine, but I am not going to start playing the game of life with him.

    This world is so evil and cynical that folks cant believe in genuine friendship. Michael liked to be around regular people and my guest is he wanted to be normal.
    I'm glad that he had some kind of normal. I believe the stories that he befriended families. In the 70's before Michael went mainstream (wink wink). His management company had contests with the fans. You won a stay at their home, dinner at their house, go backstage...etc. They was always doing something to stay in touch with their fans. Ima be real here.
    When they were only known to us black people. We loved them to death. We were proud with each appearance on tv.
    They were our brothers and our sons. We cheered them on. Spent our last dollar for a ticket or a album. We saw the anointing in Michael we were happy and sad at the same time because we knew that once an artist goes mainstream we can't protect them anymore. We knew how great he was how great he became. We knew he would be good and try to do good but buying the Sony ATV Catalog was in stratosphere!

    @hardtograsptruth Good Lord, I had no idea. Well, Paris is beautiful, poised and articulate at the ripe old age of 13 - we can all pray that she is also strong enough to deal with, or ignore, the filth that will be aimed at her, & support her & her brothers any way we can.

    I love this book. Reading it is like getting to join in on the incredible life and adventures of Michael Jackson. It's great to read the story of MJ's life from the perspective of a lifelong friend who truly loved him. I cried many times toward the end. It gives you a great understanding of Michael Jackson the person, with all his stratospheric triumphs and struggles. I now understand what he seemed to need in his personal life. While the public needed their star Michael Jackson to be on yachts in Turks and Caicos and to get married to a supermodel or something, what he actually needed and found in the Cascios was comething completely different: to reclaim his childhood through friendships and charity work with kids, and to have a role within a normal family where he was expected to vacuum, take out the trash, and help out with homework lol. We should have understood the real MJ better and just let him be. Their friendship is very heartwarming and I am so sorry for the Cascio's loss. I hope Frank does a documentary! Thanks for being a great and interesting person in the world, Frank. It's not surprising, since you were raised by Michael Jackson. :)
