This is so funny because I almost commented on the other video about KB vs Oly that I wanted to keep doing KB at home until I could rep double 32's in the press. Then get back into a gym and chase...the bodyweight press & snatch. The limiting factor right now is that I just have KB's in the corner and no gym membership, and Easy Strength is a nice easy 30m in and out first thing in the AM. So really it comes down to deciding to spend a couple hundred bucks on those 32's or on a gym membership.
How important would you say it is to keep the elbows down, pressed against the body, vs flared up a bit? This shifts the load a bit but I find the latter more conducive for high reps since it doesnt fatigue the upper back and shoulders quite as much.
For me, every KB lift starts with a swing (or hinge...depends on how you think about the movement). From the floor, I often note, is the dumbbell/barbell family but, obviously, that is fairly general.

so what's the conclusion. does 32kg clean and press have good carry over to the barbell clean and press

That's what we teach but there are a lot of body shapes, so it has to be tinkered a bit.
@@DanJohnStrengthCoach fair enough, thank you!
Have u videos on the barbell snatch ti learn how to do it,thanks
Yes. Go to On Target Publications.
When you talk about a snatch here, do you mean starting with the bell sitting on the floor, or from a swing?
