The 511 Defender Flex Slim jeans & pants have been my go to for the last two years. I own 5 pairs, two jeans & three pants. They’re simply the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever worn. The “pants” are available in seven different colors, so you have more options too. The jeans & pants definitely run big in the waist or they stretch too much. I normally wear 38”, but with these I wear 36”. I’m on job sites 8-10 hours a day 5-6 days a week and the fabric has held up great. From wearing Levi’s for the last 50 years, these were a revelation in comfort. I’ll be a Defender Flex Slim Jean customer for life 👍
The wallet catch in the vertx back pockets has legit ruined all other pants for me. A local gun store that carries a ton of 5.11 had a few random pairs of vertx jeans for like $10 cheaper than you find em online. Bought every pair they had in my size.
Gussets in the crotch are important for me. I also like the darts at the knee on Vertx jeans. They keep the pants bunching up at the knee while sitting and kneeling.
I own the 5.11 and the Vertex I definitely prefer the Vertex quality, pockets, wearability, versatility. They just look like a pair of good “regular” jeans. Plus the 5.11 are $10 more expensive, and there “mag” pockets are WAY too tight to be practical for me, as I use that pocket for a spare mag.
I didn't need to. I am a 36/37 in most jeans, and the 36 waist is fine for me. I carry IWB with decent size pistols and have no issues. Granted, I also don't have a belly or "love handles" to contend with, but there is enough room I think most people would be comfortable in their normal size.
Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream all of the new series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother recently xD

Spence62 same they are my favorite. If Vertx came out with a slim line I’d be tempted to switch due to a few of the features they offer

On the vertex pants, you can Use the pocket on the fly to carry condoms cause you never know when you'll get lucky

They are good quality but I like the cut on the 5.11 jeans more so that's what I wear exclusively.
