I just bought this kit, and I heeded your suggestion about buying it from a hobby store. Actually, I ordered it from Amazon, but it came from Andy’s Hobby Store, the UA-camr in Arizona. It was shipped in a cardboard box and Andy put wrapping paper around the actual model box to keep it looking nice. I noticed that the model box cover was not taped closed. When I opened it, I found the part you specified was inside a plastic box, like what dice would come in. So MAYBE Andy knew about your problem and opened the kit and placed the part in the plastic to protect it.
Glad it's ok. Yes, amusing has upgraded there packing to correct there error. I order from Andy's all the time. He's a great shipper. Makes you feel special plus great customer service when you have an issue. I didn't know he was selling threw amazon.
Very good review Rick. It's unfortunate that the fragile parts are not packed properly. Damage like that is avoidable. Hopefully the company will learn from this
@5:40 Same tracks here as the Amusing Panther model. Almost looks like there might be a small SQUARE/RECTANGULAR piece under the tracks here where it says "F1" and "F3". Is that a JIG?
@@Ricks135scalemodels To be clear, I have the Amusing Panther and 2A8 kits at home, but I cannot get to them until Christmas day. I got 4 tanks (including the Leopard Revolution II) and chose to build the Tamiya now, while the others go under the Christmas tree. IF I had known, I would have chosen an Amusing kit to build first, so I could use the track jig in them on the Tamiya tracks. Oh well.
Hi Rick Nice heads up about the kit . Indeed its sometimes not packed securely . Hopefully the problem gets solved soon . Keep on the good work . Have a nice day and bench time :) Greetings Ozzy
Its a nice kit but the issue won't get solved by them they want me to pay 18 dollars US for the replacement part. I actually designed my own with 3d printer. Looks perfect. Horrible customer service from Amusing Hobby.
@@Ricks135scalemodels Thanks Rick good to know that . Well its them who will loose , if you treat your costumers bad . So I'm beware if i get a amusing kit . Keep on the good work buddy
Great review, looks to be a company I would stay away from at least for now. Molds look amazing but they seem to careless with the delicate parts. Be nice to see it all finished up soon, might be a fun build minus those tracks lol.
Feel sorry for the resin parts. I dont know how the way resin crushed, but for the outer box itself the Border model has a very very thick box, never bought the Amusing Hobby though but I think Border model box wont easily get crushed.
The top box is thin and the bottom cardboard is a lighter grade. The real issue is the baskets should be better protected. They are an amazing piece of work. Lots of companies build a resin box that it is inside during printing. It keeps it safe.
I think waiting until it hits the regular market is best. It's really worth getting but if it arrives damages, you will need to be able to replace those parts.
Unlucky packaging , would you say the detail on this brand is high quality like RM or Meng and the other good brands , im planning to buy the t80u with interior and waiting for them to realease t90m with interior , on video it looks very good : ) cheers
After watching it a second time I saw the problems but overall very good kit , sadly there is no alternative for good russian modern tanks like the t80U with interior and possibly they will realease t72b3 and t90m with interiors
great video my friend. My 3D parts are even worse damaged. It's a shame that they are so poorly packaged. a small plastic box would be better. just like the other parts were packed. but a great kit idea from you.

Very true. I avoid bashing a model but I hope the address this. Even boxing it like RFM does in a resin shield would help.

Yes I think this is an isolated issue but significant.
all my 3d printed resin parts were in tiny little plastic boxes
I'm glad the fixed that error. That's how they usually ship these.

@ulungprabowo3382 I am told it's been shipped out so hopefully soon.
This kit was on the "maybe"-list for me but hearing it has potential issues bumps it down.

Agreed. I'm working on a resin fix. I have the frame done.
