Citroen finally unveiled the Basalt, while Tata’s Curvv is also around the corner. The Citroen Basalt is built on the same C-Cubed platform, and also gets the same petrol powertrains as the C3 hatch and the C3 Aircross. However, the Basalt will be the first to get an automatic option right from the get-go. Coming to its rivals, the Basalt’s introduction coincides with the Tata Curvv coupe-SUV, which is its most direct rival in the midsize SUV segment apart from traditional SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate and more.
