I used to fish 3 to 4 times a week, then i had a son and it all changed. I still love my fishing but time spent with my boy is far more important! He is 13 now, not really interested in fishing but my fishing took a very big back seat! Tight lines.
@@jasonrenshaw9010 thanks I hope you are still getting a few sessions in and not given up completely. Like myself I still get to go out and record, but once I get home it would be unfair to take even more time editing. Fishing is great for your mental health so don't give up.
great video, but I will never understand why so many anglers on UA-cam never have their landing net ready. It really puzzles me as it's the first thing I do when arriving at a spot. But great casting, well done.
@@kurthaendlmayer3746 well I can give you my reasoning, I like to be as free as possible, as I'm only making 2 3 cast at most in one spot before moving. What you don't see is that I am covering miles of river.
Either I'm a bit rubbish at lure fishing or maybe I'm just unlucky to not have such perfect looking & well stocked small rivers near me that you & the Ginger fisherman have! Tight lines.
@@SteeeveO oh it's all about finding them, miles and miles of walking. I spent years of blanking before realising I wasan't fishing properly. You Have to be asking yourself if I was a predator fish where would I hide. I've come to realise I'm not providing much information in my videos. So stay tuned I will make some content that actually helps you identify where the fish are.
@@Nick-01536 I have the club books for WNDC & NNAC but so far the canals have been quiet compared to past years, I've not had anything from the embankment area of the Nene but I might try the backwater at Ringstead after Xmas. Cheers.
I've only just come across your channel and am so happy that I did! I too enjoy fishing either a rat or a frog for pike, the takes are often quite spectacular! Keep the videos coming mate!!!!!

I had my net placed on a bush while free lining for carp and a rat climbed onto it! I nearly pooped myself now I keep my net strapped to my back
well i got told when i was 8yo that its bad luck to set up your net before you got a fish and i still dont set up a net because of it 30years later
He will never understand your sorry excuse, hehe just kidding. Nice spot. Beautiful places you got there! Well done.

I find your videos quite relaxing. Maybe it’s the water sounds as well. And yeah, the parent struggle is real 😂

I'm in Northants.....plenty of good pike fishing to be had on the Nene,on club waters and day ticket etc...

Hey man cool video. What app did you use to create your thumbnail?

I have to say great casting style, like a swing before a flick to keep it under the branches. Also after a flood rats.
