Unfortunate nose dive. As Sailing coach I will turn upwind as soon as that is safe, and stop the moment my crew is in harms way. The bashing around in the waves, dangling off the trapeze can end up a lot worse than it did. But then, we all learn from our mistakes (or other sailors' mistakes) . So did I. Lesson learned. @@Kalibrasr ive found that turning up like that just doesnt work in a cat like it does in dinghies and things just fly around a lot more. especially since the kite is still up theres really not much you can do except wait dead downwind i think
@@Kalibrasr with the spinnaker up, luffing up will only make the boat go faster, as a nacra sailor I would actually bear away and loosen sails if I had the reaction time to. Cats in general are slow in the downwind position, you risk capsizing if you luff up In a broad reach position.

@@ВладимирИванов-ф9щ У нас, в клубе, из-за ошибок рулевых, двое шкотовых карлосонов изображали. Облетая вокруг мачты спереди и втыкались в грот. На Торнадо и на Накре Интер20. Килевали катамараны вообще регулярно. Я больше по виндсерфингу. Шкотовым походил немного. После Формулы катамаран интересен конечно, но ощущения не те ... :)

potsy231983 on the 17 they don’t have flaps on their fouls so they have to use their weight

Было дело , кильнулись мы на ,, Торнадо ,, на Пироговке . Я чудом жив остался .
