brother, leche flan is made with egg yolks, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk, Filipino leche flan is a rich, steamed custard topped with a syrupy caramel sauce.
Sergei leche flan is made of many eggs (mostly egg yolks), condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar, vanilla. My mom would put finely grated key lime rinds which doesnt give it a tart/sour taste but more like refreshing taste. Its typically steamed not baked.
It's made of 1 dozens of eggs, condense milk and caramelize sugar, It's very easy to cook, you can check in UA-cam how it's made even Valentina can make this simple and very delicious dessert, Filipino love's Leche Plan so much. It's healthy coz it's made of eggs, but not to much coz it's so sweet and also to much eggs.
Leche flan is made of eggs, condensed and evaporated milk with vanilla essence, lemon or lime rind or calamansi juice a little sugar, if needed and caramalize sugar.... for the base.. before pouring out the egg and milk mixture. You can also make it with eggyolk alone with out the eggwhite.
Normally, if you eat something so sweet like leche flan first, the rest would taste bland unless after sometime or after drinking lots of water to wash down. Leche flan is so good when chilled. Kutsinta is best eaten with freshly grated matured coconut.
I think Leche Flan is most Filipinos' favorite dessert. We even put it in Halo-halo. Leche means milk in Spanish. The word Leche (or Letse) is also sometimes used by Filipinos when we're mad or frustrated at something. So when you hear someone say "Leche!" angrily, it's the same as "sh#t!" Kutsinta is best eaten with Niyog (or Nyog) on top. Niyog is grated matured coconut meat which is a bit dry. Most sellers have Niyog with their Kutsinta. But Niyog spoils easily. You have to consume it within the day. :)
cassava is also cassava in the Philippines. In Filipino is Cassava is Kamoteng Kahoy. Cassava is Spanish , I think or even Latin American because it was originally grown there.
@@FriendlySergei I never seen a lumpia like that with pork. Anyway, when you find a fresh vegetable one (most probably in Goldilocks), I hope you'll try it. It's fresh and the sauce is good. Is there anything that is not good with leche flan? hahaha!
Leche plan's main ingredients are evaporated milk, condensed milk and eggs (yolk only). "Leche" is Spanish for "milk". Unlike leche plan, egg pie uses flour, that's why it has crusts. The kutsinta is best eaten with grated coconut. The small opaque balls in that bilo-bilo is called "sago" or tapioca. This family's blog videos always have the vibe of a Filipino food fest.
Leche flan is “ caramel custard” in English. It’s a very traditional dessert of the Iberian Peninsula, Including France., and of course Philippines having been part of the Spanish Empire for 3 centuries. Eating more than a serving will make you sick because of its rich sugar, milk and eggs content.

It’s better to eat lechen flan with spoon or fork because of its consistency. Be careful how much you eat though coz it is very sweet 😂
You missed the fresh vegetable lumpia! It's really nice.
leche means milk. So it's milk, egg and citrus
It was pork lumpiah , I thought it is not good with leche flan 🤣

the round jelly in Binignit that you are asking about, in Tagalog, is called Sago, in English Tapioca.
Or maybe it's the Bilo2 or ground glutinous rice (malagkit) balls
Its all massssaraap..

Careful of often eating filipino desserts. Our desserts tend to be high on sugar. But if you're not diabetic or high blood then im sure its fine.

No
Don't eat leche flan with bare hands. Please use spoon. We use spoon in eating kakanin because it's sticky.
It's because they see and think of rural filipinos' way of eating with bare unwashed hands as normal in the Philippines.
