Made a few variations of this before, even using other UA-camrs like Babish and always found it boring. This was brilliant, finally understand the hype behind it. Hats off to you Jack!
I followed your direction and made this dish for my wife tonight for dinner. It was delicious! She even went back for seconds and then thirds!!! Thank you Chef!
I love how you keep your videos short, precise without adding unnecessary huge amount of info like other chefs making videos on UA-cam. Thanks for this dish. Turned out really good.
This is one of the easiest to follow instructions. So clear and not too fast instructions. Thanks Jack. Appreciate it. You even offered an option. Crystal clear.
You have outdone yourself Chef Jack! This is exactly how my Italian mother used to do it. Also, so glad I didn't see you use a spoon to help the fork 'twirl' the pasta when eating pasta. We never used one in our household either, even for the long types of pasta. Well done, and thank you.
Did your mother cook garlic and oil in this indecent way, with six cloves of garlic? So there are two cases: either she said she was Italian, but she wasn't, or she ate this crap because she no longer wanted to have sex with your father. And, given his daughter's culinary expertise, she was absolutely right.
My dad decided to try out this recipe on a whim and we all LOVED it!!! It was delicious. My mother then started making it as well and I can’t tell you how good it was.
I’ve made this many times and it’s always delicious. Although I find it better to add my chilli flakes to the infused oil rather than sprinkle it after on top. This lets the chilli oils infuse with the garlic.
I like that you always add some informations of how long and how you best store the food. This is really unique flavour you are adding to your videos. Keep up the good work!
Damn this is the best aglio e olio recipe I’ve come across yet! The only things I modified were: adding the chili to the oil before emulsifying - let it bloom for about 30 seconds. And using linguine instead of spaghetti - thicker noodles absorb more sauce. Love the parsley chopping method you used! And also the oil / starch water ratio was perfect
I have made 4 of your recipes already and every time they turn out perfect! Seriously first time ive felt like I can cook, you are helping so many people. Are you going to write a book?
This is so great to hear. Thank you so much. It’s great to hear you’ve been enjoying them. Yes I am planning on releasing a book or two in the near future 😉
All the pasta dishes are so heavy and ladden with cream so I just made this and it was simple and everybody loved it! It's going in my dinner rotation! Thank you!
My Noni made this all of the time! I have continued the tradition maki g it regularly!! You will love it! Since I don't care for large chunks of pasta, I cook the garlic longer so the oil is well infused. I then take a slotted spoon to remove the garlic. It is lovely!
I made this for dinner yesterday. It was excellent and very straightforward to prepare. I will play with spices a little as I make more. I found one teaspoon of chille peppers a little too hot, for example. I'll also play with dried spices to see how they care. Thanks for a great video on what I know will be a well used dish.
Preparing pasta like this has a phenomenal flavour. For a little salty kick I add a sprinkling of parmesan cheese over top of prepared dish. Sometimes add small tin of anchovies in garlic/oil preparation. Sensational marriage of flavours and textures. Top video Chef!
Woow what an amazing receipe. At first I was thinking "It's a lil' too simple", but after trying it last week it was amazing and full of flavour. Thx so much
Made this tonight for the first time, def won’t be the last! It was excellent! Even my picky husband loved it. We wanted something other than red sauce which gives us both heartburn and wanted to avoid white creamy sauce which is heavy. So I followed this recipe except I used penne pasta bc didn't have spaghetti and used dried oregano, basil, & Italian seasonings bc didn't have fresh parsley. And we added grated parmesan cheese at the end. Cheese makes everything better 😹 This dish is def a lighter way to enjoy pasta and we'll be adding it to our monthly meal rotation. Fyi we had this with steak (hubby), shrimp (me) and salads. Yummy😋
Thanks! This is the first video I've ever seen by you, and I love how clear and straightforward your instructions are. I also really appreciate that you explain the exact measurements of the ingredients we're seeing. I
I've always made a dish basically the same as this, based on something a good friend of mine cooked for me one time. Interesting to see that it is actually an established dish! Yours looks delicious, as always
So I craved this pasta but didn’t have spaghetti but did have shells .. so I made it.. the olive oil coated everything perfectly and it even went into the lil well .. loved it ..will deff be making it away
Omg how cool is it that you have made this video of a dish I wanted to make tonight. One of your early ones. My how far you have come Chef Jack. I do like simple pasta recipes. Thank you for helping me with dinner tonight 12/10/24 you really are the best
i never subscribed to any youtube video ..this is the first...im sure you will be sucessfull when you are older ..you are the only chef that explain why you should cut thing a sudden way to get maxi taste congrat..i will try some recipes soon
please keep your videos just as simple and basic as this without all that fancy editing and what not. This is the highlight of your channel. Clear, easy, and start-to-the-point videos with additional pointers on basic knife skills and other cooking know-how. 👍
I just tried this with my date cause we dined at my apartment and the recipe is a BLAST. definitely gonna try this again next week with my date with some of your other recipes thank you very much!
My fav recipe. I pretty much do it the same way, except.. with the garlic I add 1 piece anchovy (for the saltiness) and I add (biological) lemon zest. And I eat it with grated pecorino. 👍. Thanks for another perfect video.
Liking this even before watching since I know I will like this. I used to have it in trufle in India and this was my fav one. Any way I like all ur recipe
My favourite pasta recipe.... Easy and full of flavour.... Thank you Chef Jack.... Hope you doing good....take care and stay safe....loads of positive energies from India 💕💕💕💕💕
Hello Chef , thanks for all the wonderful recipes please could you teach us different kinds of Bruschetta, different kinds of Enchiladas, Quesadilla ,Ravioli, Lasagna .
Watching from Singapore 🇸🇬..I make this at least once a week it's so yummilicious especially when a slice of cheese is melted into the pasta and those chili flakes just gives it an extra kick 🤤😋 👍⭐
Glad I came across this video, should've followed these instructions. I made this Aglio Olio, but I added butter to the oil and I practically covered the bottom of the pan with garlic. It came out good, but I thought it would have a stronger garlic flavor, I'm a garlic fiend. Disappointed in the lack of flavor. Next time I'll try this without the butter, using only olive oil. I also used a teflon non-stick pan since I don't have the pan that's used in this video, do you think the non-stick pan hampered the flavor? I also have a cast iron frying pan, maybe I'll get better results.
Mad this this other night for my parents, tastes incredible, extremely easy to do as well. I did however add some crispy bacon with it get it a change of texture and add mother taste. Thanks again jack. Could you please do a video on a blue cheese pasta dish?
I was also thinking that a bit of bacon would go really well, did you fry the bacon in a seperate pan and add it after the pasta was mixed with the garlic and oil?
I do something similar as an easy Sunday night dinner. It is also nice to add a finely chopped fresh chilli at the end to give it some kick and freshness
Made a few variations of this before, even using other UA-camrs like Babish and always found it boring. This was brilliant, finally understand the hype behind it. Hats off to you Jack!
That’s awesome to hear! Glad you enjoyed this one, Richard 👌👌

Fantastic! I’m so glad you both enjoyed it 😊
Careful letting them go back for seconds... That's how they develope those love handles

Can i use ,vegetable oil?
Definitely. Olive oil is better but if that’s all you have, it’s not a problem at all 😊

I need to give that a try, thanks!
Yes! I add my chilli flakes to the oil before the noodles; delish 😋
I especially love the extra detail on keeping it in the fridge or freezer. Thank you for that! Greetings from Souther California
