Jellyfish were interesting in the fact that they actually became more popular after the band broke-up (sort of like the Velvet Underground). They're more beloved now than they were in 1990

I have had the pleasure to see Jason twice live in L.A. and both times he was a nice as could be, really great guy! Signed my CD and I got to talk with him as he arrived to the gig and right before he went on stage. My video of him playing at the ROXY is here on youtube somewhere under an old account that I can't access any longer after the Google merger. Roger was kind enough to reply to my emails about 10 years ago and even offered to do a session with me for the right amount of money...I should have taken him up on that just for the chance to play with him! The only bad thing I can say about Jason is I invited him to my wedding and can you believe it, he didn't show up...SSSpppff!!! :)

Nodus66 , the band didn’t give Jason enough attention and Jason was writing great songs but they didn’t want him featured as much as Andy, so Jason quit. A shame cuz Jason played guitar, vocals and bass on the first album. And helped arrange many parts but not getting the credit. So yes egos ruin another great band.

Ego is the reason for any breakup. I think this version was great.
"Better" is a fallacy. It is really matter of taste after all.
Sturmer has such a wonderful lead voice. Manning has a voice made in heaven. Mr. Falkner brings a different energy and it is wonderful.

Jason sounds good, but like he's not entirely into it. Roger voice is a bit off, and it altogether proves Andy Sturmer is a necessary part of Jellyfish's live presence.
I just listened to Spilt Milk and Bellybutton though so it's hard to judge it fairly.

I didn't get that impression about Jason at all. I thought he sounded great and sang it like Jason Falkner would sing it. It's completely consistent with his usual vocal phrasing. Gave me chills, honestly.

Did ego really ruin the continuation of Jellyfish? Or is it that Andy doesn't like fame and being in the best band in the world? This good but it's certainly not as good as with Andy Sturmer, maybe I'm wrong, but it's about time for a full reunion!
